Mission: Miro dance theatre's mission is the creation, presentation, and touring of new dance work combining the artistry of ballet trained dancers, contemporary choreographers, and video.

girard college residency - in exchange for studio and office space on campus, miro provides two hours of dance instruction weekly to girard college students in grades 6-12 along with a professional company protocol. The students have access to models of successful administrative and artistic careers in the arts, as well as visiting artists, both local and interantional. The students create a new work and perform it for the public, student body, and faculty at girard college. In 2014, the audiences for their performances totaled 560.
educational programming - miro has traditionally promoted increased audience interaction and education of that audience through its partnerships with local universities and cultural institutions. This year miro worked with students from georgian court university in lakewood, nj to create a new work. They also participated in an exhibition at the pennsylvania academy of fine arts museum highlighting their work, journeys south, for the philadelphia mural arts program. In 2014, the audience totaled 1,500.
