Mission: Marriage team was established to strengthen and save marriages by developing and delivering faith based marriage coaching services. It works with churches and non-profits to develop effective marriage coaching programs and educates couples through marriage building seminars.
Programs: Marriageteam trained an additional 49 coach couples in 2014 in vancouver wa and mobile, al. Client evaluations continue to show exceptional results with 94% of the couples who were considering divorce before coaching no longer considering divorce after they completed coaching. Marriageteam did a major rewrite of its coaching materials in 2014. It continued development of a train the trainer program to build capacity to serve. There were over 360 volunteers supporting the program and over 374 people were served with extensive marriage coaching services. In 2014, marriageteam started to account for marriage coaching volunteer hours to reflect the value of the work done for the community. There were 129 couples who were coached by a couple (2 coaches) for an average of 11, 2. 5 hour weekly sessions. The average value of volunteer hours is 23. 07 as determined by the independent sector (http://www. Independentsector. Org/volunteer_time). This results in 163,682 of coaching services. When these services are added to the program services reflected in the 990 calculation, the percent of program service expenses of total expenses is 73. 88%.
