I connected with Michelle at an event in our town. NWCave was being featured and when I heard her speak about what NWCAVE does for the victims in our community I knew we needed to connect. I approached her after and shared a story that my family has been going through. My daughter was victimized and we were in the throes of a court case, with very little communication from our court appointed advocate and the prosecutor's office. Once we met with Michelle we knew that we needed to partner with NWCAVE to help in my daughter's case. After one meeting we "retained" NWCave as our daughters advocate and she was ready to dive in. We told her our goals, what justice looked like to us, and asked if she could help us get there. Within a matter of weeks a 2.5 year court case has been resolved with the perpetrator pleading guilty and on terms we are comfortable with. Justice was provided for my daughter and with Michelle we knew we had an advocate that was there to protect my daughter, not serve the court. She ruffled some feathers, but sometimes the system needs disruption. At the end of everything, my daughter feels empowered by Michelle and her team to get certified as an advocate herself when she turns 16 and work with NWCave. Michelle helped my daughter feel less like a victim and instead she sees herself as a survivor who now wants to help others who have been victimized. We will forever be grateful for Michelle and the entire team at NWCave.
I can't say enough GREAT things about Michelle Bart and NWCAVE. My daughter had been missing, we feared sex trafficking was involved, and Michelle sprang into action and was relentless until we received answers.
This organization works tirelessly to help families navigate a foreign world. They have the connections, reputation and "dog with a bone" attitude to get things done.
Michelle did for our family, in 2 weeks, what would have taken us a year, if ever, to do on our own and I will be eternally grateful!

Thank you so much for the nice words! We are glad we were able to help.
Michelle from NWCave is always one step ahead and continues to amaze me with how kind hearted and caring she is. She does whatever it takes time and time again to propel NWCave towards success.
Thank you Michelle.

I connected with NWCAVE in a professional capacity, but, in the time that I've known them, I have referred multiple friends and community members to the organization as a potential resource for safely exiting difficult and dangerous situations, including those involving dynamics that other organizations may not be equipped to face.
In each encounter, I've been blown away by the professionalism and passion shown by Michelle, Carmen, Kathie, and the entire team. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing support.
Michelle Bart of NWCAVE has always supported my search for justice for my murdered sister Jamie Grissim, one of the oldest cold cases with the Clark County Sheriffs.
Last year when my sister’s “alleged” killer went to trial in the Superior Court of Clark County on January 23, 2023 for the 1974 murder of 17 year old Martha Morrison , Michelle was there supporting me nearly every single day of the trial. She made sure I didn’t have to worry about food, transportation to and from court nearly every day, and most important of all, emotional support to see this serial killer every single day in court, the first serial killer of our town.
NWCAVE and Michelle Bart are the best.
I don’t think I could made it through the trial seeing the man I know murdered my sister without Michelle’s support.
She knows how to support families who need justice, and victims of crime who need support and help.

NWCAVE 10/22/2024
Thank you so very much for the kind words, Starr. You are a blessing, my friend!

My sister Jamie Grissim disappeared three weeks past her 16th birthday on December 7, 1971.
I first met Michelle Bart of NWCAVE back in early 2009 when my sister's story appeared on the local news.
She reached out to me, and she created my missing sister's very first website. She has been supporting my sister and her case ever since.
In 2009, the Clark County Sheriffs, Vancouver, WA conducted a search for Jamie, and Michelle was there and supported through it, or I would have been alone except for the sheriffs.
Any opportunity she has to share my sister's posters or her button and tell the story, she does and she never forgets Jamie.
We the family members of some of the victims of Warren Forrest, the first serial killer of Clark County, WA attended his second murder trial this past February. It was for the murder of Martha Morrison. On February 4th of this year, 2023, the jury took less than an hour and a half to find Warren Forrest guilty of the first degree murder of Martha Morrison. He now was a convicted serial killer.
Without Michelle Bart there to support me, most days I would have been alone. This conviction means that Forrest will never come up for a parole hearing again until he is 93 if he lives that long. Prior to this conviction, he was coming up for a parole hearing every 2 to 3 years. It was stressful for victims and for the victims families to hear all about him talking about how he should be released, but never again unless he lives till 93,
Michelle made sure I had transportation and food, and even more important, moral support. I will never forget her support. She is a true victims advocate, and I will always be thankful and grateful to her for all her support.
Sincerely
Starr Grissim Lara

Thank you, Starr, for the very kinds words. It's been sadly, our honor, to work with you trying to keep Jamie's face and case visible after all of these years. We will be here for you always. You are a warrior!!!
My best freind Star was murdered from her estranged husband back in 2021. Had it not been for Michelle at NWCAVE we could not have gotten as loud as we did. Her sister fought tooth and nail with Clark country just to be heard. And thanks to Michelle she got to be heard.
Michelle and her team are a blessing and a huge asset to the community and victims.

NWCAVE 10/22/2024
Thank you for the trust and friendship during this difficult time. Star was lucky to have so many great family and friends in her life! Hugs.
My best fiend Star of 20+ years was murdered by her estranged husband on November 7th 2021… fighting for nearly 3 years to get justice in her name was nothing short of a struggle. When her sister Gina and I began doing mountains of outreach to have the families and her friends voices be heard, it was Michelle at NWCAVE who was the blessing we longed for. She is a fighter and one of the most strong advocates for families and victims of DV and sadly homicide. She helped us have a voice, she helped stars death not be in vain! She made sure that there was accountability for her death. To Michelle and her team, you have my deepest gratitude and love for all you provided in honor of Star, and support to her family, friends and more importantly her son.

NWCAVE 06/22/2024
Thank you, Jenn. We are so sorry for your loss. As we continue seeking justice for Star's son and family, we will never forget Star and the light she had in all the lives she loved the most including her son and friends like you! Thank you for the kind words!
On November 7th 2021 my sister “Star” was murdered by her estranged spouse. We were fighting for her justice and frustrated with the justice system. We met Michelle Bart and her staff at NWCAVE and it was such a blessing. We were finally able to be heard and visible. The work done at NWCAVE is so valuable to us families of murder victims at the hands of domestic violence. We will forever be grateful to Michelle and her team at NWCAVE.

NWCAVE 06/22/2024
Thank for the kind words, Gina. It was not the outcome we had hoped for, but it was the best path to keep Star's son safe from the monster who took his mother. We now continue seeking justice for her son and holding those accountable for not protecting Star when she asked for help. NWCAVE will continue being here for the family, Star's friends and most importantly her son! Sending you and the family a hug!
Michelle Bart and her entire team were a godsend for us to have their help during our horrible journey with Clark County WA. They were the only light we had at the end of a long and dark tunnel. It was comforting to have their understanding, support, guidance, and assistance in our case. We will be forever grateful for their help and I highly recommend them in every way possible.

NWCAVE 06/22/2024
Thank you, John. Not all heroes wear capes...you are a hero among us. Thank you to you and Gina for having faith in our efforts to help you get somewhat justice for Star and her son. The work isn't over and now we continue forward for Star's son and accountability to all those that failed his mother when she asked for help. Sending you and the family a hug!
I have been blessed to get to meet Michelle and be part of partnering with NWCave for a few memorial events. We sadly live in a world where violence happens so often that the general public hears about an awful story and then moves on to the next. “Moving on” is something not everyone gets to do because perpetrators take that away from their victims and their loved ones. Michelle boldly stands tall and makes sure those voices aren’t silenced. She’s not just an Advocate for her clients. She becomes part of their family. If one door shuts, she doesn’t give up. She looks for a second and third door.

NWCAVE 06/22/2024
Thank you, Jill, for the kind words. The feeling is mutual. NWCAVE has appreciated the partnership on many cases and look forward to enhancing our relationship moving forward so both agencies can help even more victims and survivors. Thank you to your and your team for always being there for our clients and our organization!
The way this non profit fights for justice is incredible. They give voices to those whose own voices were silenced and that speaks volumes. Michelle is one hell of an advocate

NWCAVE 06/22/2024
Thank you, Ashlee! Your support and kind words are much appreciated!!! It takes a village and so glad you are part of the team too!
We've had the honor of working with Michelle and the team at NWCAVE. It's a dedicated agency with a mission of a world without violence and keeping us informed and educated on how to achieve this goal.

NWCAVE 06/22/2024
Thank you, Eddie, for the kind words. It's been a pleasure working with you this year. Here's hoping for continued positive outcomes moving forward!
I called Michelle in a panic and she flew into action. Helping us secure an attorney and navigating the court system. I don't know where we would be without her! Thank you for everything you have done for my family and the rest of your clients. We are all blessed with your support and love.

NWCAVE 06/22/2024
Thank you, Laltman! Our team at NWCAVE will continue working toward a better outcome for you and your family. Your case is an example of if we cannot get the job done, we bring in those that can, glad we could be a part to better tomorrows for your family!
Michelle Bart and her team at NWCAVE are awesome. From the very beginning of our tragedy, when our daughter went missing, she was there, advocating for law enforcement to keep searching, putting our case in front of the media, tirelessly supporting and advising us, and connecting us to nationwide resources. After 10 years of nonstop advocacy, when our daughter was found deceased, Michelle continued to support and advise us as we navigated the flawed and difficult criminal justice system. She stayed by our sides all through the most difficult period of our lives, and still offers support in our grief. I can't give enough praise for Michelle and her organization. The world needs NWCAVE times a thousand to stand up against violence and exploitation, especially since vulnerable people are always being threatened.

NWCAVE 06/22/2024
Thank you for the kind words, Poder. Your daughter's case will also be embedded into my heart and mind. Our longest case in the history of NWCAVE in addition to the national media exposure resulting in more investigation by a cold case unit, resulting in horrific findings, a trial, conviction, and the injustices and laws of Colorado Springs will forever haunt us. This case may be over for now, but the advocacy towards better laws among other things will always keep us moving forward to always remembering your daughter in our fight for justice and accountability. Hugs to you and the entire family.
One of the most passionate and compassionate nonprofits in the country. NWCAVE does everything it can to support and guide women when they need it most.

When I was a juvenile probation counselor NWCAVE was extremely helpful with missing children. They knew how to get the media involved without putting the child at more risk. It is critical to have someone who is knowledgeable and tenacious on the case. Michelle and her team are the best. Michelle and I did many trainings together to teach others about how to recognize and understand child sex trafficking. I am so thankful for what they do.

Nwcave is a valuable resource for law enforcement, community partners and families. Michelle assisted in finding missing endangered children. She was a huge support for the trafficking task force that sought to educate and eradicate sex trafficking of children.
I was referred to Michelle Bart from a friend, Bruce Larsen who had worked with Michelle. That was 11 years ago. She worked closely with my brother and sister-in-law whose daughter, Kara Nichols, went missing on October 12, 2012. Ms. Bart worked tirelessly through all media outlets to keep Kara's name visible. I believe that because of her outstanding work my family was able to keep Kara's case in the news and therefore force the sheriff's department of El Paso county, CO to reopen Kara's case until, sadly, her body was found in February of 2021.
Ms. Bart didn't abandoned us then, she attending the first hearing in 2021 and organized press after the hearing, she followed with us to Kara's murder trial and lastly shared her victim statement of NWCAVE's work over the 11 years.
She was our strength, logic, and heavy lifting behind our family's nightmare journey.
I absolute recommend NWCAVE'S assistance should you ever need it.

NWCAVE 09/07/2023
Thank you for the kinds words, Marjorie. We only wish, Bruce, was still with us to see we got at least a little justice for Kara. We are not done, more work will continue to see this never happens to anyone's daughter's again. #justiceforkara

I think that non profit organizations for victims of domestic violence, underserved, underrepresented and or trafficked are incredible and very important. Michelle Bert is one of a kind. She goes beyond to offer help and support for people who really need it. If you know of any angels in disguise it’s her and the team who fight for those injustices. Her voice moves mountains to shake those who underestimate the power of serving with grace. A force to reckon. I have witnessed her lending strength to those in weaken state her contagious smile will uplift your hearts. Her work isn’t easy and only a few are able to carry on such a heavy burden and for that I send blessings to all those who come
Across an amazing organization.

As someone deeply concerned about the welfare of vulnerable individuals, I feel compelled to share my heartfelt appreciation and admiration for the incredible work of NWCAVE (National Women's Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation). Their unyielding dedication to supporting people who have experienced violence or exploitation is remarkable.
NWCAVE is more than just a nonprofit organization; it is a lifeline for survivors seeking solace, empowerment, and a pathway to reclaim their lives. From the moment I encountered their mission, I knew I had found an organization that stood for the values I hold dear: compassion, empathy, and advocacy for the most vulnerable among us.
What further distinguishes NWCAVE is its emphasis on collaboration and community engagement. By actively partnering with law enforcement agencies, social service organizations, and other nonprofits, they foster a united front against violence and exploitation.
NWCAVE's dedication to continuously improving its programs and services is evident in its commitment to learning from the experiences of survivors and adapting their approaches accordingly. Their transparency and accountability as a nonprofit organization are exemplary, ensuring donors and supporters have complete confidence that their contributions are making a real and positive difference in the lives of survivors.
NWCAVE's unwavering commitment to providing a voice to those silenced by violence and exploitation is genuinely awe-inspiring. As a society, we owe a debt of gratitude to organizations like NWCAVE for their immeasurable impact on survivors' lives and for creating a world where safety, respect, and compassion prevail.

Thank you, Finn, for the testimonial and standing with us against violence! We appreciate your support and service to the community!
I recently had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible impact of NW CAVE and its founder, Michelle Bart. I cannot recommend this nonprofit enough for its dedication and effectiveness in advocating for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as any disadvantaged person in need.
Michelle's influence with the media is truly remarkable. Her extensive knowledge of the system, combined with her ability to effectively communicate with the press, has proven to be incredibly powerful. In the three different cases I have personally witnessed, I was amazed to see how, within just 24 to 48 hours of Michelle taking over, the cases began receiving the media attention they deserved. Meetings were being held with major crime units, the medical examiner's office, and police chiefs, district attorneys, all thanks to Michelle's tenacity and expertise.
What sets Michelle apart is her unwavering dedication to her cause. She is a fierce advocate for victims, fighting tirelessly to ensure their voices are heard and their stories are given the attention they deserve. Her commitment to making a difference is truly inspiring.
If you find yourself in a position to contribute to a nonprofit that truly makes a difference, I implore you to consider supporting NW CAVE. Your donation will go towards supporting Michelle's invaluable work and the incredible impact she has on the lives of countless individuals. NW cave is an organization that is changing lives and creating a better, more just world for all.
In summary, I highly recommend NW cave and its amazing founder, Michelle Bart. Their work is essential, and your support will make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

I have been involved with NWCAVE for over four years now, as a volunteer and a vendor. There is so much to be done to prevent sexual assault and domestic violence, and the dream of NWCAVE is that our world becomes a place without violence altogether. After an assault, survivors need all kinds of support, and NWCAVE has multiple programs to help survivors find resources, as well as being a direct resource as well. Through their work with the local police, FBI and lawmakers, they are providing education to those that do real change.

NWCAVE is a remarkable community partner and support system that is immeasurable. From providing Gift of Lift of gently used bras to victims, high school students in need, hospitals and cancer patients; this program matters! Also the Dignity clothing program fills such a need to those who are homeless or victims of DA or SV being released from hospitals...so much help is fantastic. Last, but not least is the continuous support and tremendous role of NWCAVE and Executive Director, Michelle Bart plays in missing children to marginalized citizens in the fight to prevent DA and SV. Her knowledge of the legal systems and how to mentally strengthen the victims goes beyond in assistance.

Thank you, Lisa! We are so honored to have you on our board of directors and provide so much wealth of experience to our leadership!
I am forever grateful to have stumbled upon NWCAVE, especially Michelle. She is truly an amazing person. She has helped me in so many ways. Not only being someone to talk to, but to advocate and help navigate through being a victim of sexual assault and provide resources, but she helped expedite my rape kit. I wouldn't be this far in the process if it weren't for her and Katie Yates. They listen to the victim, and never victim shame (which I have experienced elsewhere) and they follow through with the victim. They care full heartedly about helping victims of this heinous crime. To fight for justice.

NWCAVE 09/05/2022
Thank you for the kind words, Eryn! We won't stop supporting and advocating for you until the rapist is brought to justice! Thank you again for the review!
My husband and I been supporters of NWCAVE for a few years. The work that they do is so important on so many levels. They were there at a moments notice for a family member who needed some help. I have been working with NWCAVE for over a decade. My involvement began as I covered missing children stories and sex trafficking cases. NWCAVE played a vital role in connecting families and victims with the media to give them an opportunity to share their stories and keep their stories in the headlines. I was so impressed with the commitment and diligent work this organization does that I became more involved. NWCAVE has not only changed so many individual lives, but entire communities have been educated along the way and become advocates on an important subject matter. Change happens when people care. NWCAVE is dedicated wholeheartedly to being the change in this world and motivating others to want to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

NWCAVE has been a pillar of advocacy, prevention and education when it comes to addressing the realms and realities of domestic and sexual violence and exploitation. This 100% volunteer based non-profit has and continues to provide resources to countless victims/survivors of violence and exploitation, as well as those that engage with said victims/survivors (i.e. law enforcement officials, friends/family, employers, etc.). It has been one of my greatest honors to work alongside NWCAVE and its dedicated team of compassionate advocates as we strive to foster safer communities for all persons.

NWCAVE is an organization near and dear to my heart not only because of my role on the Board of Directors, but because I've witnessed first-hand the impact it has had on our community. The resources we've been able to provide for those who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, exploitation, and many of the other persistent social problems that touch the lives of far too many lives has been humbling to say the very least. This is an organization that has consistently strived to create a safer community for all and I believe it has and continues to honor its mission with the upmost integrity, compassion, respect, and dedication.

NWCAVE is an incredible organization working to educate and inspire others to act around the atrocities of violence and exploitation. They are 100% volunteer run and they work nationally to change how we look at the issues of missing children, sexual assault, human trafficking, domestic violence, bullying, and hate crimes. They are experts in their field and are a great resource.

NWCAVE 04/25/2019
Thank you for the review and kind words, MrsJLovett. Much appreciation and glad our services have helped you and the community!
NWCAVE has done a great deal to bring awareness about domestic violence and exploitation of women in our society. They have also worked with Washington State to being awareness to the backlog of sexual assault kits that remain unprocessed. We need more organizations such as NWCAVE to help raise our voice and continue to press for change in laws to provide equality in all areas of our culture.

As the Chief Invesigative Correspondent for Inside Edition, it has been both a pleasure and privilege to sit on the National Media Council for NWCAVE.
For years I have been impressed by the work Michelle Bart and her team have done on behalf of women, children and victims of violence and discrimination.
I highly recommend this organization and hope that others learn about the good work NWCAVE does at the local, regional and national levels to support and give voice to survivors everywhere.

NWCAVE 04/27/2016
Thank you Lisa for this wonderful review! We have enjoyed having you on our team and look forward a continued partnership as we continue moving forward on making a little less violence in the world with you! Thank you for being a voice for justice!
The effort and care behind the work of NWCAVE and its members reveals strong commitment and a genuine heart for those they serve.
My experience with NWCAVE has been nothing but positive and inspiring. These community angels have a deep commitment in helping others in our community by empowering them with instruction, knowledge and awareness in a variety of ways. For example their workshops on how to spot someone being sex trafficked and knowing who to report it to so NWCAVE can swoop in and help the police. Or, their excellent self defense workshops. Or, the powerful key note speakers they have at their events. Every time you leave completely inspired. They do so much it would be hard to list them all.
KXRW Vancouver 99.9FM could not be happier to partner with such a worthy and wonderful organization as NWCAVE.

NWCAVE 10/09/2020
Thank you Susan and to KXRW for the wonderful friendships, support and being voices for justice! Much appreciation for all that you do!
Amazing training fir me and my staff on sexual harassment, exploitation, etc. amazing connections with law enforcement and community.
NWCAVE is dedicated to the community by way of several programs. I got to know it through Washington Says No More, a program with a mission to end domestic violence and sexual assault- which just recently saw State legislators support the bill to test the backlog of rape kits and shorten the time the kits are in the system before they are tested. Already; arrests are happening because of this testing.
Finding CommUNITY was a bonus of joining this team. And all of our work with other groups only deepens our commitment to the greater causes we serve. Please join us!
My company has chosen to sponsor NWCAVE because of their critical contribution to our community. This organization is focused, results oriented and relentless in their mission to end violence and exploitation against those who desperately need our help. We were most impressed with the dedication and acumen of the board. The skills they bring to the table from their "day jobs" are leveraged to make NWCAVE that much more powerful.

NWCAVE 04/25/2019
Thank you for the kind words, CWC Advisors! We appreciate be chosen as your nonprofit choice this year and look forward to our continued partnership!

Over the past several years, Michelle Bart and NWCAVE have been tremendous partners with the Vancouver Police Department in a variety of ways. From their effort to assist us in locating missing children, addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, or other related crimes against women, and as a member of the Chief's Diversity Advisory Team, NWCAVE has served our community immeasurably.

Michelle Bart works tirelessly to provide support to women who have been victimized or exploited. It is heartbreaking to think that in this modern nation there is a need for such work, but there is, and that need is critical. To hear just of few of the stories from women Michelle and her organization has helped will, or should, drive you to support her in her courageous work.
The world is already a difficult place, and it would be far worse without the important work of NWCAVE. Michelle and team are diligent, devoted, and tireless in their pursuit of justice and representation. I am proud to be a friend and supporter.
NWCAVE is THE source for the prevention of violence and exploitation. Their dream of a world without violence is not only real, everything they do embodies that mission. I've seen first hand the good work they're doing in the local community and on the National stage. NWCAVE is a core member of our community and deserves our support to continue their mission. I am proud to be a donor and supporter of NWCAVE.
Michelle Bart and team at NWCAVE are tireless advocates for those that often can't speak for themselves.
Proactive, hard-working, and widespread, NWCAVE is vital to our community. The nonprofit and its organizers have all been nothing short of exceptional — working with them is incredibly rewarding. Without a doubt, NWCAVE is an essential advocate and incredible partner to collaborate with.
NWCAVE put on a Human Trafficking Victims Advocate training that was absolutely fantastic. I learned so much and was so excited to be a part of that experience. Even though I wasn’t able to pay, living on a student income at the time, they gave me a scholarship to attend. Their organization is so dedicated and passionate about their work. As a now Masters level social worker, I will be taking that training into my professional life. I feel honored to know them and am so glad they work in our area!

NWCAVE 05/04/2018
Thank you for the review! As a nonprofit, the trainings and conferences we host have tight budgets, we are always happy when we can provide scholarships to survivors and students. Glad you were among them. Keep up the great work and glad you are our there making a difference!

Dear Writer, thank you for the the review and kinds words!
NWCAVE presented information to over 250 registrants at the Louisiana APCO/NENA Annual Training Symposium. This is over 250 Telecommunicators, supervisors and managers from all over Louisiana. Their expertise and passion for eliminating Human Trafficking and Sexual Violence was so evident in their presentations. Thanks for all of the information and for taking the time to train our dispatchers.

NWCAVE 05/04/2018
Thank you Jack for the review! It was our pleasure presenting at your state-wide symposium. The hospitality was awesome and the gators were too cute! Thanks again and we are here when you need us in the future.
As a local physician and mother of 3 school aged children, I am always looking for the most up to date information and training on exploitation and violence against women and children to better inform not only my patients but my community and family. I have been an active community supporter of NWCAVE for 3 years since moving from out of state. The level of professionalism and up to date information that I have obtained and experienced with this non-profit has been off the charts. I am so very grateful to be supporting this organization and having the opportunity to share its strengths to my community.

NWCAVE 06/13/2017
Thank you guys for the kind words. It was a blast working with you on the Mother's Day Beer Fest and Bra Pong event! Looking forward to working with you again!
As many have said, the dedication of Michelle Bart and NWCAVE is unmatched. I recently attended the No More Summit and was absolutely impressed with the speakers, trainers and participants. Michelle actually organized two conferences as the original dates in January were canceled at the last minute, due to weather. I'm not sure where Michelle gets her endless energy for the cause of ending violence and exploitation. She makes herself available whenever there is a need - I've never met a more tenacious individual. THANK YOU!

NWCAVE 06/13/2017
Thank you for the kind words. We are happy you enjoyed the No More Summit. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
A moving closing to the No More Conference was keynote speaker Brenda Tracy. Our team remained behind together for a full hour afterward to process what Brenda Tracy had shared with us. Each of us, dealing with our own traumas, collected ourselves and became more resolved than ever to do our part to prevent sexual violence on the Linfield College campus and in our community. We are empowered and energized. Thank you NWCAVE and all its sponsors for putting together this phenomenal weekend of speakers and workshops.

NWCAVE 06/06/2017
Thank you for sharing your experience from our #NoMoreSummit. We're glad Brenda was able to make a lasting impact on your journey and help you bring more awareness to the Linfield campus. We look forward to seeing you again!
After 16 years out of the life, I unexpectedly reunited with my groomer at a meeting. NWCAVE has be a huge advocate on my journey dealing with my triggers, referring me to resources to get mental and emotional help, along with helping me stand up for myself and put closure to my situation. I appreciate the honesty and willingness to help. They are making tidal waves in our community.
The NWCAVE organization is a needed force in our community on so many levels. President, Michelle Bart knows the pulse of our community. Her organization swoops in to save young lives fallen victim to sex trafficking, and other types of domestic violence and abuse when the regular system is overloaded and unable to follow up. Her tireless nature to fight for the rights of others doesn't stop with just her worthy organization, but she jumps in with both feet to help other worthy nonprofits trying to make a difference as well, like KXRW, Vancouver's new independent nonprofit community radio on 99.9FM. NWCAVE.org is the epitome of what a "WE" society looks like versus a "ME" society. They are an inspiring role model for all of us to emulate and repeat...repeat...repeat!

NWCAVE 05/02/2018
Thank you Susan for the support. We believe in KXRW FM and are so thrilled to be a part of bringing the station to Vancouver. Looking forward to seeing the radio station grow and prosper. Thank you for being a partner against violence!
NWCAVE has been an excellent partner and support to Children's Administration. They effectively promote their mission and the betterment of the community by supporting the children, families and agency's in and outside of our local community. I have personally had the privilege of working directly with Michelle in efforts to safely locate several missing and endangered run away children. It is truly an honor to work closely with Michelle in serving the families of Clark County.

NWCAVE 05/02/2018
Thank you Eric for the support and kind words. We look forward to our continued partnership with the State of Washington and are thankful you have joined our team to help bring missing children home!
NWCAVE is an excellent partner to other organizations. They effectively promote their mission and the betterment of the community by supporting the work of groups partnering with them.
They consistently see the big community picture as they also work effectively and efficiently on their own programs and services. NWCAVE makes a difference for the individuals whose lives they touch in times of horror and despair. NWCAVE makes a difference for our communities by their outreach of hope and support.
When we started NWCAVE never could we imagine the impact we have had for women, children and families. We have helped to find missing children, educated on violence in our society, collected over 12,000 bras for women and girls, trained media on how not to re-victimize victims when covering their stories and continue to be a resource for the community on keeping our kids and families safe.
We continue making a difference in Washington, Oregon and California and we could not do our work without the support of our volunteers, partners and donors. We thank all of you!

I am in awe of NW CAVE, Michelle Bart, her organization and her volunteers. She relentlessly works to help end the violence and suffering of so many that don't have a voice... and ALWAYS with a smile and a burst of energy that is contagious. For example, during the Pacific Northwest International Women's Festival earlier this month, she lent her hand, her voice, her expertise to spreading the word, increasing attendance, and making the event energized and vibrant. If she's in, she's all in! Thank you Michelle, for being you.

This is one of the most pro-active organizations I've ever seen when it comes to defending and protecting women and children from violence and sex trafficking.
Being an investigative professional for over 25 years I have had the unfortunate experience of seeing first hand how women and children are exploited and NWCAVE not only teaches, advocates and deters abuse but it also actively changes peoples lives in profound ways.

NWCAVE works tirelessly in the community of Clark County, Washington, to find missing children, provide education on domestic violence and sexual exploitation of women and children, and partner with local law enforcement and media for proven results. I have had the opportunity to work with NWCAVE over the past few years, and the leaderships passion for protecting and serving their community is unparalleled.
The statistics of human trafficking are staggering, and while they are working with what can be the saddest demographic they have a very positive approach. These women are joyful educators, that jump into action on behalf of women and families at a moments notice.
Michelle and hear team are truly impressive pillars of the community. The service that they provide is invaluable!

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you so very much for the wonderful review! Your support and continued partnership is much appreciated!! Thank you and keep up the good work you do too!
Michelle Bart is phenomenal working with high risk youth and her resources are far reaching - many I had not heard of before, and I've been in the criminal justice field for 30 years. She was the first person I called when a 16 year old sexual assault victim was missing. She was able to meet with myself and the family within hours of my call. The youth is safe at home again, yet Michelle continues to have regular contact with myself and the family. Her passion is quite obvious and she works harder than anyone I know. This organization is a critical part of the Human Trafficking Task Force and we are very fortunate to have the headquarters here in Vancouver, WA. This is a non-profit very worthy of support.

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you for the kind review! NWCAVE appreciates the partnership with our collaborators including the justice departments and attorneys we work with, thank you for the support and we look forward to our continued partnership only getting stronger in effort to bring home the kids and get them all justice! Thanks again!
This organization is amazing! I attended their last event at the Hilton Vancouver Washington and learned so much along with meeting great people. There is no way to measure the value of getting a child back to their parents or helping those in violent situations. Michelle Bart is my hero!

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Hero? Wow, thank you for the kind words, but in all reality we are just doing our part to bring kids home and be a voice for justice against the evils that prey upon society including those that do harm to our kids; the victims and survivors are our heroes, but thank you for the kinds words and review!!

Hello my name is Irma Magana , I would like to have this non profit recognized as one of the best when it comes to helping families finding their children. They have responded very efficiently to the needs of of the clark county community and also support them through out the process. They show compassion and reapect on all they do. I find them to be the Best! Thank you NWWCAVE! :)

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you for the kind words and review Irma! The feeling is mutual and we so appreciate our strong partnership with the YWCA Clark County. Being able to partner on having a voice for missing youth that are undocumented has been a new territory the past couple of years and so appreciate the collaboration with you to bring them home safe! Thanks again Irma, keep up the great job too!
NWCAVE is fully active in the community. Members participate in numerous civic and community events. By getting to know us, agencies and individuals know they can turn to us for help and support. We are fighting for a world free from violence!

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you birdseed for the kind words and review, much appreciation!!
I met Michelle Bart (Co-founder of NWCAVE) at a community event and was moved to tears when she told me of the exploitation and violence happening around us, largely unseen. Two months later, I saw a "Please Share, Missing Child" post on Facebook (Vancouver, WA) and then contacted the missing child's guardian. She had no experience in how to publicize a missing child, so I called MIchelle and asked her to get involved. The next day, the photo of that 13 year old girl (Patience Freimuth) was on the local TV news and featured prominently in the hometown newspaper. The girl was found safe and returned home. Words cannot express the value of knowing there is a resource that MAKES THINGS happen. This difficult work requires the involvement and contributions of the entire community, and the leadership of an organization like NWCAVE.ORG

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you so very much Bruce for the kind words and review! We were happy things ended well for that family, as you know, we're not always celebrating a homecoming so this case put a smile on our face. Thanks again for calling us about it and for your continued support! Thanks Bruce!!
It's been our pleasure offering space to NWCAVE so they can further their mission. The new Community Resource Center will now be home to the new Vancouver radio station KXRW and with both NWCAVE and the team at XRAY / KXRW FM, Consign Inn is happy our building and space could be a benefit to both organizations and the community we all serve.
Keep up the great job NWCAVE !

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you Donna and Consign Inn for your continued support and providing us with the office and Community Resource Center. This has been a great partnership and we look forward to a great 2017!
Thank you so much for the work that you do in our community and nationally. We appreciate your willingness to attend our Faith-Based Coffee meeting to share information about your organization as well as how the community can engage with the work that you do.

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you for the kind words and review! We appreciated being invited to speak at your group and look forward to attending another meeting in the near future! Thanks for all you do to make a difference in the lives of the kids in our community too! Thanks again!
NWCAVE is an inspiration to many who work with us and those we touch. From our conferences in Vancouver, WA to Ontario, CA, we have informed and educated over 200 attendees every year on sexual assault, human trafficking, bullying, internet safety and more. Locally, educating hospital staff on human trafficking and children on internet safety, we strive to save more children through awareness at a younger age. Our Missing Persons Division has found several children over the past couple of years with positive results. It is personally rewarding to be involved in this organization when we find or save another child from perilous situations.

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you Wanda for the kind words and review! It has been an honor of ours to have you on our team all of these year and we look forward to continue moving mountains with you to end violence in our society and to bring more kids home safely! Thanks for all you do Wanda!!

I have worked with NWCAVE and Michelle Bart through their conferences and have found them to be most informative when it comes to human trafficking and especially their work with missing children. Michelle is an expert with social media and has the wide spread network to make the difference in finding missing persons. She is passionate and caring and has the biggest heart to bring the children home. It is a pleasure to work with her and NWCAVE.

NWCAVE 10/31/2014
Thank you Wanda for the kind words! We're so thrilled you are on our team and thank you for all that you do!
NWCAVE has been a vital part of Clark County's Human Trafficking Task Force. They have sponsored tracings for members. They have been the support for families of children that are missing and endangered. They provide the link between the media and law enforcement in getting the word out in a way that does not cause further danger. Their involvement in the community is passionate, with gift of lift, feeding the homeless and creating child safety awareness.

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you Kay for the updated review and kind words, your continued support and partnership is much appreciated! Thank you for all you do to help the kids in our community too. You rock our friend!!

NWCAVE has been active in the fight against violence against women in our community. They have provided training for fighting commercial sexual exploitation of women. Michelle worked very hard and closely with law enforcement to get the media coverage that was needed to get one of our local youth rescused. They keep the word out on women that are missing, not letting their stories die and fall silent in the cold case file. I have learned so much from working with NWCAVE and am so thankful they are here in our community. However, they do not limit their work to our community. Michelle is a pit bull when you get her on a project and I thank them for all they do!

NWCAVE 10/14/2014
Kay, thank you for the review! We have enjoyed working with you the past four years on the Clark County Human Trafficking Task Force and look forward to our continued partnership on the task force and other services as we continue working together to combat violence and human trafficking in Clark County, WA and beyond! Thanks again for the review.
NWCAVE is very active and committed to education and bringing awareness to the nightmare of Sex Trafficking, missing children and domestic violence and it's effect on children! There is no one more involved and committed to this than NWCAVE who is very visible in our state. They advocate, they help find missing children and do seminars that include many tv and movie stars who were victims of abuse and rape sharing their stories and adding to the visibility needed to bring this to the public's eye. To bring the awareness that's needed to bring change in laws and perception. Excellent role models, great Non Profit. You Can Stop Domestic Abuse turns to NWCAVE often and appreciates all they do to educate on a constant level the police and justice system.

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you Kathleen for the kind words and review! The feeling is mutual, thanks for all you do in Vancouver too. We appreciate your support!!
The leadership within NW Cave is impeccable. Transparency and efficiency sum up their actions. The coordination with other organizations attest to the teamwork necessary to accomplish something so important. The help they give and awareness they bring to the community and around the country is phenomenal.

NWCAVE 10/30/2016
Thank you Erik for the kind words and review. You are appreciated more than you know and our community is so luck to have you and your business in our town. Thanks again for your continued support and partnership!
NW CAVE gets involved in places where no one else will help. The board is made up of people from the community who really care and get involved in places that others of us are not willing to go.

NWCAVE 04/27/2016
Thank you for the kind words and review! Your support is much appreciated.
NWCAVE is very effective at informing, educating and preventing violence and exploitation against women and children nationally and internationally. But their commitment to strong organizations does not stop with their own organization. As an active member of Washington Nonprofits, NWCAVE stepped forward to lead an effective conversation on how to engage the media in spreading your message. NWCAVE founder Michelle Bart and board member Natalie Brand led an interactive discussion that engaged nonprofits from across Washington. I deeply appreciated the practical knowledge and tools that they shared with organizations not working in the media space.

NWCAVE 04/27/2016
Nancy, thank you so very much for the kind words. It was our pleasure presenting Media Matters to the nonprofits on the call/webinar and look forward to doing it again soon! Thank you for all that you do too; WA Nonprofits is one of the best organizations we have joined since beginning NWCAVE, thank you!!
We have a DREAM!
I was raped on Halloween in 1992 in Denver, Colorado but totally moved on forgetting the power I had and should have used to report the co-worker that raped me. Fast forward years of working with and for nonprofits in Los Angeles it wasn't until moving to Vancouver, WA that totally made me appreciate my life.
In 2008 I was asked to represent a family of a missing 3-year-old child. Then in 2009 I met a 17 year old human trafficked survivor. Then later that year our efforts searching for a missing 14 year old black girl from Portland resulted in learn she was raped, beaten, shot to death and buried in two plastic bags by at 16 year old gang member that turned my vision of this world on its axel. I created a conference and program in 2009 that turned into a new lifetime dream...a world without violence and human trafficking.
In 2012 a few of us took the program and decided to create a 501(c)(3) national nonprofit called the National Women's Coalition Against Violence & Exploitation (NWCAVE). Today we are licensed in Washington, Oregon and California. Have helped in over 30 missing persons cases. Have conducted annual conferences every January again violence and exploitation. Launched a national training institute. Have presented at over 400 conferences, schools, and community groups (on Child Safety, Internet Safety, Bullying, Abduction/Stranger Danger, Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking). Produced a film on human trafficking. Formed a national journalism and humanitarian awards. And just this summer opened our first office and community resource center. All of this since 2008 with all volunteers and no staff and a very small budget.
We have come full circle with dedication, love and passion to keep kids safe, prevent abductions and kidnappings, empower women and girls and provide services that benefit communities in three states. Giving Tuesday is one effort we have support that past few years and this year we are nominating our organization and all of those we serve for this grant!
We Have a Dream...a World Without Violence & Exploitation and we hope you do too!
Review from #MyGivingStory
Danielle Hone (14 years old) left her home in August 2015. She was finally located in another state and returned in March 2016.
NWCAVE was instrumental in helping the Clark County Sheriff's Office in locating Danielle Hone. Their willingness to liaison with the family allowed me to focus my efforts on finding Danielle. They took the lead in getting the necessary information out to the media and public. They assisted in channeling the tips and leads to a single point to ensure efficiency.
NWCAVE was accessible 24/7 and worked within the parameters I needed as Law Enforcement.
Thank you NWCAVE for a job well done in bringing home another missing girl.
-Det. Scott Kirgiss, CCSO Major Crimes Unit

NWCAVE 03/29/2016
Thank you Detective Kirgiss and CCSO for your continued partnership. It's our honor and pleasure to work with the department on bringing these kids home! Keep up the great work! #MediaMatters.
Michelle came to our middle school career fair and delivered an amazing presentation about her experiences and amazing background. This is a wonderful organization and does a lot of good for the community. Especially for our youth and teaching them how to be safe in a digital age.

NWCAVE 03/29/2016
Thank you for the kind words and the great work you and the school district are doing to keep kids safe, educated and inspiring them to be change makers in the world!
I had the opportunity to work with FoxNews35 in Lake Mary Fl. during the Caylee Anthony case. It was during that time that I had met Michelle Bart, and coordinated with her to work on missing person cases.
I have dealt with Michelle on both a personal and professional level and I find her a caring and compassionate person and a joy to work with.
Michelle is a very caring and compassionate person and NWCAVE has been her dream for many years. NWCAVE is starting to make it's way into the public eye and and we want to keep ourselves there so families and individuals know we are just around the corner.

NWCAVE 11/03/2014
Thanks for the review Shelley and thank you for being our National Missing Persons Division Director; we are making a huge difference for many families and its because of the leadership and expertise you bring to our organization, thank you!
NWCAVE is an amazing organization that helps women and children who are victims of domestic abuse. I am so proud of Michelle Bart and her dedicated team! NWCAVE is changing lives by helping others who cannot help themselves. This is an amazing non-profit that truly serves those who need it most.

NWCAVE 11/03/2014
Thank you Kami for the kind words and review. We are thrilled you are on our team and look forward to carrying Rita's vision forward as we continue making a difference in the lives of others.
NWCAVE is an amazing organization that impacts so many people with information and resources to help girls and women who have been victims of abuse. I have personally seen how their outreach has helped to spread the message of empowerment for victims through media and beyond. - Lisa Guerrero, Chief Investigative Correspondent at "Inside Edition"
NWCAVE and the people involved are professional and dedicated to this important cause. I have watched the team work tirelessly and with integrity and am proud to be associated with them. What they give of themselves to serve victims should be an inspiration to all. This is a great charity to support!

NWCAVE 10/31/2014
Thank you Athena for the review. Keep up the great work you are doing too. NWCAVE applauds you for your ongoing efforts in helping so many victims of human trafficking become survivors. Bless you for all you and James do!

Thank you Athena for the kind remarks! Thank you for supporting our mission and organization and believing in the DREAM! Your guidance, partnership and ongoing friendship is much appreciated by everyone at NWCAVE! See you in January!
I have been involved with NWCAVE from the beginning. After learning about the problem with Human Trafficking local and abroad I could not look away. The difference that this group makes in families lives is priceless. To be able to inform, educate and prevent violence is very powerful.

NWCAVE 10/31/2014
Thank you Carolyn for the kind words. So glad we're in this together! We both have a DREAM...and together with out supporters we will continue making a difference against violence and exploitation!
NWCAVE works to help the most under-served segment of our society, women, children who are trafficked and sold. Michelle Bart is a strong leader and advocate within our community to stop the devastating effects on the lives of individuals who become ensnared in "the life." NWCAVE has become a powerful voice against violence and trafficking. Keep up the great work.

Margaret, thank you so very much for an added review. We look forward to our continued partnership with you for SWCAT 2016!!

As a professional working with exploited children, most of my clientele being female, NWCAVE provides a venue for educating myself, the public, and professionals in my field with an understanding of how we can be a force working against exploitation of women, reducing violence in our communities, and how we need to organize to provide the appropriate types of interventions. NWCAVE is passionate, has expertise, and is a moving force in this effort to end violence and exploitation of women, and young girls.

NWCAVE 12/05/2013
Thank you MEvanow for the kind words! It's been a real pleasure working with you on the Southwest Conference Against Trafficking (www.SWCAT.org) and we look forward to seeing you soon! Thanks again!! NWCAVE
Wonderful organization. Michelle Bart lives and breathes to find and save trafficked kids. She is amazing and never stops fighting the fight.

NWCAVE 10/31/2014
Thank you Dee Dee for the kind words. Our success can only be measured by the support of others and without Alaska Airlines the past few years we would never be able to do the good work we continue to do with our trainings, conferences and events. On behalf of our entire leadership team, thank you and thank you Alaska Airlines!
I can not say enough about NWCAVE. My son was recently missing and Michelle Bart of this organization was with me from the first day until we found him. She was with me heart and soul and genuinely concerned for my family. She was THE driving force behind locating my son. She worked tirelessly until he was found and is still available to me now. I feel I have found a friend for life, and an organization that I am now permanently invested in. The organization was my saving grace, my comfort, my everything throughout the most terrifying and confusing time of my entire life. I could not have made it through this time without Michelle. NWCAVE was able to help locate my son before the police even began to work the case. Blessings to each and every family who has ever suffered the loss of a loved one.

NWCAVE 10/29/2014
Thank you Roots for the kind words and support. We are happy our efforts helped you to hear from your son and we pray he is safe and happy. We're always here for you and your son if you need any resources and support. All our best.
NWCAVE and Michelle Bart, are amazing at what they do! Michelle has her whole heart and soul into what she does. Preventing, advising, supporting and bring awareness to the community can be a very challenging task in today's society. These ladies are the prime example of doing what it takes to be completely selfless. I have never met people who have so much compassion for trying to help bring a positive influence to society. They are so compassionate and have so much passion for what they do, they actually involve their young niece's. Which in my world is the best way to start the awarness, at a young age. I love these ladies and would totally trust them with my life! Amazing, passionate, supportive, and compassinate!

NWCAVE 10/29/2014
Susan, your ongoing support with our programs and events continue driving us to continue doing the work our organization is all about. Its supporters like you that help us continue putting our mission into action to helping others! All our best and see you at the next endeavor!
I first met Michelle Bart whiling working as a journalist in Portland, Oregon, covering the high profile missing persons case of Yashanee Vaughn. Her passion and dedication touched me, and, I believe ultimately helped the case get solved. Since then, I've watched Michelle give hope to families and victims, time and time again. When no one else is willing to fight their cause, Michelle and NWCAVE give a voice to the voiceless...willing to step in with assistance no matter how great the challenge.
I didn't think twice when Michelle asked me to serve as a media liaison. The work of this group is critical to raising awareness and helping to fight violence against women, everywhere.

NWCAVE 10/29/2014
Thank you Natalie! We are thrilled you are on our team. We knew when we first met you that you were a reporter that strived to be a voice for justice. Thank you for the support, kind words and passion to support our organization. Looking forward to our continued partnership and friendship!! Keep up the great work you do for victims and families!
Passion. That is what you get with Michelle Bart and NWCAVE. Her dedication to her mission and the people she helps is incredible and admirable. Once Michelle is on board, consider it done. I have been a reporter for 20 years and I have never met anyone with her work ethic. Weekends, holidays, middle of the night. I wish there more people like Michelle and organizations like NWCAVE in this world.

NWCAVE 10/29/2014
Itica, thank you for the kind words and review. Your words meet the world to us and I hope you know just how much we appreciate the work you do too! The offer is always on the table for you to come join our Media Council! You are a reporter making a difference and we are so pleased you are one of the journalists we call a friend! All our best!
As a new board member for NWCAVE, I have learned so much from Michelle Bart and the NWCAVE partners. There is consistent focus on education, awareness and advocacy to bring an end to violence against women and children. The conference against Human Trafficking (SWCAT) in Pomona, CA in January 2014 was the best I have ever attended with outstanding speakers on topics that left you wanting more information. The upcoming No More Summit in Vancouver, WA on January 17, 2015 has a list of speakers you will not want to miss. Michelle has done an awesome job of leading our NWCAVE team and inspiring us to see the bigger picture of how we can help the fight against violence in our community.

NWCAVE 10/29/2014
Thank you Wanda for the support and dedication of being on our board of directors! Having you on our team has meant the word to us and we know we are in good hands with you as our finance director! Thank you so very much for the kind words and riding this wave with us!
I have worked with this organization in reporting on missing women, and Michelle Bart has been an excellent and knowledgeable source. More importantly, she truly cares.

NWCAVE 10/29/2014
Thank you Lindsay for the kind words and review! Thank you for all of the support covering our case and having a voice for Kara Nichols. You are a great reporter and the offer is always on the table for you to come on board and join our Media Council, just let us know! Keep up the great work!
Michelle Bart and NWCAVE have done an impecable job serving this community. As a former reporter for a local television station, I relied on Michelle Bart for any issue related to violence and exploitation of women and children. Michelle and NWCAVE have been instrumental helping victims and/or families through extrodinarily difficult situations and helping relay the necessary information publicly. Reporters in this town can attest to her invaluable skills. Michelle and NWCAVE are a great resource for reporters and this community.-- Jessica Morkert

NWCAVE 10/29/2014
Jessica, thank you for the continued support and friendship over all of these years. Please know, you always hold a special place with us and the door is always open for you to join us! Congratulations on the new position; Multnomah County is now in good hands my friend!!

Have been, and are still there for my missing daughter
Kayla croft Payne
This organization has been extremely helpfull
In being that voice for my daughter
And has even been there for us
In a supportive role
This orginization fights tirelessly
For not only violence against women
But for missing/exploited children also
Thank you, Thomas v Payne

NWCAVE 10/14/2014
Thank you Tom. We just wish we could do more and bring Kayla home. We will always be a voice for Kayla until she comes home and we're always here for your and Karen and the rest of the family. Thank you for the review.
Michelle and NWCAVE have been invaluable in the search for a former student of mine who went missing two years ago. They continue to keep Kara's cause in the public eye and their support for her family and friends has been amazing- professional, yet loving and caring. I have worked with many social agencies in my career and endorse NWCAVE completely.

NWCAVE 10/14/2014
Thank you Dina for the review. We were hoping her parents would have more answers by now and that Colorado Springs Police would have the leads needed to lead to Kara, but we wont give up on her. Thank you for the kind words and thank you for all you have been doing as well to keep her case and face visible. Thanks again Dina.
I have helped at several NWCAVE events. The organization fills a very needed community service and serves with compassion and professionalism. The work that NWCAVE has done in the Washington and Oregon areas to educate and assist the community is beyond valuable. The level of passion and dedication is something that you do not see very often and that is the reason for NWCAVE's success. I am proud to work with the group in helping to end the plight of Human Trafficking.

NWCAVE 10/12/2014
Thank you Jody for the kind review and support over the years. Your ongoing participation and support are reasons we continue striving for a society free of violence. Thank you for being one of our voices for justice!
NWCAVE put together a conference in Pomona, CA in January 2014. The conference was very well organized, thoughtful, informative and fostered collaboration among participants. In fact, the connections I made continue to be partners. The conference had great speakers and was inclusive of Survivors of sexual exploitation, both as participants and presenters and the closing keynote. As a speaker, I was treated with the utmost honor and respect. NWCAVE is an outstanding non-profit organization dedicated to doing the work necessary to combat violence and exploitation. Thank you, NWCAVE!

NWCAVE 10/12/2014
Autumn, thank you for the ongoing support. Having the input and support from survivors is the utmost importance to why we do what we do. We look forward to our continued partnership and congratulate on your new International NGO for survivors of human trafficking! Keep up the great work!

In January 2014, I attended the NWCAVE Conference in Pomona, CA as a speaker. The conference was extremely well-organized, extremely well-thought out, speakers were treated with the utmost respect and honor. Attendees were excited and engaged throughout the conference. In fact, as a result of the conference, a coalition was formed to continue working on the issue of human trafficking in California. I wholeheartedly recommend this organization and conference to interested parties. I can't wait until the next conference!

NWCAVE 05/06/2014
Thank you so very much for the wonderful testimonial ARB$4$! Save the dates January 15-17, 2016 we will be back to Southern California! If you cant wait, come join us in January 2015 in Vancouver, WA. Visit www.NWCAT.com for updates. Thanks again for the nice comments!!
Our life was shattering, as parents my husband and I exhausted every normal avenue in trying to find our daughter. A whole community and multiple law enforcement agencies could not do what NWCAVE, and Michelle Bart did in such a precise, quick, and effective manor. NWCAVE came recommended by law enforcement , and from the first first moment I spoke with Michelle you could hear her passion and her expertise. By far the most worthwhile and productive non profit ever. NWCAVE knew at every step what the next one was, and every option that can result from every action. I can not express how knowledgable and caring they are. Our daughter is alive and safe.

NWCAVE 10/12/2014
Thank you Lynda for the kind words. We are thrilled our efforts along with the Vancouver Police and all of the channels were able to bring your daughter home. Our best to you, the family and most importantly Anji as she gets back on her feet!
When my daughter Michelle, president of NWCAVE, asked me to get involved in a conference on human trafficking in 2009 I never thought the one event would have sparked the start of something greater for our community and many families five years later. I have watched Carolyn, Michelle and their team of advisors take a seed and made it grow into a life changing organization that families of missing children have been able to have more hope and help in finding their missing loved ones. I have watched the tireless efforts made pitching and working with local and national media in order to get the conversation started about child and Internet Safety and human Trafficking. I have watched these dedicated volunteers travel thousands of miles in order to help find missing children, speak at conferences and present to students in schools. When I was asked to join their team, I immediately said yes.
I am honored to bring whatever I can to the efforts to bring more awareness, education and information to the public. Although many miles and strides have been taken to make a dent into being a part of the solution against violence and exploitation, sadly so much more needs to be done and I'm happy to be part of the solution and a part of NWCAVE.
I highly recommend our organization to our community and beyond.

NWCAVE 05/10/2014
Thank you mom for the kind words and support; glad to have you on the team!
Michelle Bart and NWCAVE were just amazing when our daughter went missing and police wouldn't do anything, but within hours of calling them they had us on television and we were able to have a voice 'Sue.' Their contributions in helping our family were unmeasurable and we will never forget what they did for us. Today, 'Sue' is home safe and although most considered her a runaway, she was taken away from someone she considered a friend, but that's history and we will always be thankful to Shelley, Michelle and their entire team at NWCAVE.org.

NWCAVE 05/10/2014
Thank you Soccermom for the support and review! We are thrilled our efforts helped your family. Be well and have a very Happy Mother's Day!
It has been a true pleasure working alongside the National Women's Coalition Against Violence and Exploitation (NWCAVE). We were introduced to the the organization's staff and founder, Michelle Bart, mid last year and it has been a true partnership.
We were invited to present a workshop on treatment options for commercial sexually exploited children at NWCAVE's Southwest Conference Against Trafficking in 2014. Needless to say we were appreciative of not just being invited to the conference but getting the opportunity to meet other local and national non-profits interested in helping sex trafficking survivors.
NWCAVE has a credible network of community partners that we feel comfortable in collaborating with in the future, and we attribute this reputation directly to the direct leadership and inclusive nature NWCAVE staff and their founder demonstrate.

NWCAVE 05/06/2014
Thank you Joyce and Martha, the feeling is mutual! We look forward to our continued partnership!
NWCAVE hits the "marks" for doing what a non-profit should do- they do on the ground work finding trafficked kids, they advocate effectively against the heinous practice of sexual slavery and human trafficking and they conduct effective training events. I am proud to be associated with them
Dawn Marie Lemonds
NWCAVE is an outstanding organization that supports individuals and communities expose crimes that have been minimized. The leadership continues to fight oppression and support others through adversity. This organization plays an essential role in increasing awareness and reducing violence/exploitation.

NWCAVE 05/06/2014
Thank you Savenia for your continued partnership and support in reaching the DREAM! We are honored to have you on our team!
I am amazed and always greatful about Michelle.
She created the first website for my missing murdered sister Jamie Grissim, who disappeared December 7, 1971. I am so touched by that and will always remember it.
She invited me to my first candlelight vigil for the missing, including posters of Jamie in the vigil. She invited me to another one too.
She supported me in the Clark County Sheriff's search for my sister in October 2009. She kept me company all day out in those chilly woods.
I always appreciate that she remembers my sister.
She is an advocate for the missing in our country and the abused girls and women in our country.
One couldn't ask for a better advocate.

NWCAVE 12/13/2013
Thank you Starr for the kind words. Jamie will always be in our thoughts and prayers; we hope closure will come in the near future for you and her childhood friends. We’re always here if you should need any support in the future in Jamie’s case. All families of missing loved ones should use your determination as a great example for never giving up on those you love. God bless you my friend!
Michelle is straight forward, and gets the attention we needed in helping to find our daughter. She is still missing, but we know in our hearts that whatever Michelle and her team can do, they would be right there. I think this organization is wonderful in every aspect of their work. I have learned so much, and have all the respect for the organization. Even when they decide it's time to back away from a case, I believe they do everything within their means, and will do whatever you need from them. Michelle has the knowledge and knows the people to reach in every corner if that is what she wants or feels is necessary.

NWCAVE 12/13/2013
Thank you Barb for the kind words. Lisa’s case will always be near and dear to our team and we hope those that took over the case will bring closure and answers to you and the family. We know people without a doubt knows what happened to Lisa, it will depend on the “powers that be” in higher law enforcement to continue to work towards a conclusion; Lisa deserves it and so does her daughter, parents, brother and all her friends and family. Our organization, although committed to helping your family, unfortunately found ourselves being asked to allow the higher authorities within the FBI and other agencies to take over where our investigation ended, so in the end we are hoping those agencies are assisting in bringing answers to where your daughter is and what happened to her. Shelley and her team are always here if you should need further support from our organization. What happened to Lisa is apparent to the evidence that was ignored, we pray the Senator and the agencies he enlisted will have more information for you in the near future. Our hearts and prayers are with you and Lisa’s entire family!

Thank you marvbroadhead for the kind remarks! Thank you for supporting our mission and organization and believing in the DREAM!
A few years ago NWCAT was my introduction to the issue of sex trafficking. It has inspired me to become an advocate and do what I can to increase awareness on this horrific issue.

Thank you Deborah for the kind remarks! Thank you for supporting our mission and organization and believing in the DREAM! Your support is much appreciated by everyone at NWCAVE and thank you for all of the referrals for the upcoming Southwest Conference Against Trafficking, you rock! See you in January!
Michelle and Shelley are amazing. My son went missing back in 2011 and without the help of this organization I would have never been able to find my son's body. These people are a god sent and I thank them with all my heart. The power they have with the media is amazing to keep my son in the spotlight in order to bring him home. Hopefully one day I can pay them back for all they had done for our family and they make me want to be a better person. Someday I would like to give back to this world the way this organization does. Thank you NWCAVE for all you do in this world to stop violence against women and keep our children safe. Love Kimberly Fox

Kim, your ongoing kind words over the years is heartwarming! Shelley and I were glad we could support you and your family in searching for your son. Your case will always be in our mind as we know the system let you and Charlie down, but in the end finding him was the objective and that was achieved. Although that can never bring his beautiful soul back, his smile is always looking down and guiding you in your journey on earth; to us, that is a comfort for all families who are reunited with their children. Sending you, your daughter and entire family our very best. Thank you again for the ongoing support!
I met Michele Bart through a mutual friend of ours. i was able to do some work for her on behalf of NWCAVE. Michele is very professional and nice. The work we did was able to help those and her staff! I'm glad I did it. I support this organization 100%.

Krystol, thank you for your kind words. Thank you for your recent support in writing the truth about our team members contracting brucellosis after searching for a missing person. They are both still very sick but are on the mend; your support getting their story out is much appreciated. While working with the late singer Whitney Houston in the 90’s she told me “…always be true to yourself Michelle and you will go far in life.” I pass those same thoughts onto you, be true to yourself Krystol and you will continue to go far in media and journalism. You are a “Voice for Justice” my friend! Thanks again!!
This organization is a true powerhouse. Their dedication and passion for ending violence against women and girls is inspiring.

Thank you for the kinds words tirose! Happy Holidays and thank you for inspiring us to make a difference too!
NWCAVE is an amazing organization whom you really can't put a label on because they go above and beyond their title! NWCAVE supported me mentally after I was profiled by the police in South Carolina and handcuffed because I am Black. They made sure I understood my rights as an American, helped me receive legal advice and were really the back bone to me specking out on what a issue Racial Profiling is in this country. Never was a phone call or email unanswered! I appreciate them always and I am open to help any way I can. Much respect and love Cherie Johnson

NWCAVE 12/05/2013
You are amazing Cherie! You and Dennis took a terrible situation of abuse and ended up having a voice for justice for all those that came before you and that will come after you; we just supported you with a few clicks and calls to the media that could help you in your quest for justice! Looking forward to seeing you on Dr. Phil today! Thanks again for the kind words and we look forward to working with you both in 2014!!
NWCAVE is an exciting concept in helping to bring violence against women and girls to make the public aware. When you hear about 12 and 13 year old girls being sold into the sex trafficing it makes one sick in the pit of their stomach. When you have known women who have been beaten by their spouse, you naturally want to help. Having been a victim of rape and mental abuse, my heart goes out to the women, girls, and boy who are forced into trading their bodies for money.
Helping to bring a child home to their family after being kidnapped is also very rewarding. The more these things are brought out into the open, the more hope we have making the world a more peaceful and better place to live.
Lastly, giving back to the community in which we live is a great feeling. The more one gives the better
you feel and gratifying feeling of helping you get.

Thank you Alsalt for sharing your story with us and posting this nice comment. You may have been a victim of abuse in the past, but today you are a survivor and warrior against violence to others. Thank you for your comment and NWCAVE is always here to support you and inspire you as you have us!
