We have attended productions by the Marin Shakespeare Company every summer for nearly 20 years, and we feel that summer is not summer without our evenings of live theater under the stars at Forest Meadows Amphitheater! We trust them for consistently excellent and essential entertainment and we recommend them to everybody. If you enjoy live theater, you will not experience better in the SF Bay Area than the Marin Shakespeare productions!

I have followed Marin Shakespeare for almost 20 years and have continuously been impressed with the artistic quality of performances that need to be seen to be appreciated. I have also been to many Shakespeare centers such as Ashland, OR, and, although they need money for costumes, lighting and stage settings, the artistic performance is unsurpassed. I have been pleased enough to join the Board of Directors in order to help reach the goals of finding additional money and community awareness

I acted in one of their shows and also teach for them. This is a wonderful company, bringing terrific productions of Shakespeare's plays (and others) to the outdoor summer stage. The work is always lively, engaging, and very entertaining. And their classes for kids bring the joys of acting and Shakespeare to hundreds of kids all over the Bay Area year in and year out.

I love outdoor theatre at night, under the stars, so Marin Shakespeare Company makes many summer nights happy for me. Their productions are superb and unique from one to the other. I know I can trust the artistic excellence of directors and actors to put on a splendid show. MSC also has a huge educational emphasis that many people don't realize. They are a tremendous force in theatre for children of the San Francisco bay area, filling such a critical need.

The first time I went to Marin Shakespeare many years ago, I was blown away by the quality of theater available so close to home at Forest Meadows. Over the past 10+ years, my wife and I have continued to be delighted and entertained. Each summer brings delightful new treats!

The greatest risk in life is to never risk at all! The Marin Shakespeare Family of Artists support, believe and explore lifes daily challenges from conception to rehearsal to performance, as a siti working together. Their rainbow of life from the magical world energizes all inhabitants. Join MSC's siti on their next magical evening and share the energy of life among friends. The little eyes in the trees or in the woods haven't paid for their tickets, but support Shakespeare's players every day and night...don't worry they don't bite, vegetarians! Enjoy.

I've been attending the Marin Shakespeare Company performances for many years and watched these fine productions become fabulously outstanding. For my family and friends It's been a marvelous way to gather for picnic or an on site dinner & talk before the performance. Outdoors, in Domincan University's Forest Meadows we've seen rainbows and stars lend magical touches to the plays. . Now that I have the good fortune to be a volunteer I've come to realize that this great gift to our community has been brought about by talents and old fashioned hard work of Lesley and Bob Currier. They are the real magic, the genial forces that have given us this gift of remarkable theatre.

I have worked with this company as an independent artist for over a dozen years and have watched them grow in quality, organization and artistic strength. I also happen to live near where their youth companies hold their summer classes and it is a great pleasure to see how enthusiastically and professionally they train kids from grammar school and up in the theater arts. Working actors passing their craft and love of art to the next generation.

Marin Shakes is a special theater company because it touches so many diverse people in different ways. I was amazed at how they drew the entire community in to participate: from the children in 'Twelfth Night' and the school groups watching 'Julius Caesar' to the people completing community service hours watching avidly from the back of the theater. And, of course, working for Marin Shakes changed my life. I'll never forget that perfect summer, performing Shakespeare under the stars.

As a theatre goer and volunteer for Marin Shakespeare I see how hard and long they work to achieve their goals way beyond what you would expect. They treat their helpers who build sets etc with gret kindess, buying th em lunch many times as they realize that they don't have big saleries. My friends and I vie to hellp with ushering and hwlping with events etc. as we just like the energy and commitment they everyone has.

I have had the pleasure of serving on the board of Marin Shakespeare in addition to being a fundraising volunteer. This is a well run and fiscally responsible company that emphasizes strategic planning as well as artistic vision. I am also member of the public who deeply appreciates the generous and committed role the company plays in the community through their educational programs. It's great theatre and great fun.

I have been working with Marin Shakes for six years now and feel that I have grown tremendously as an artist because of it. The company produces plays that are professional, entertaining, and creative. I have felt respected and valued as a collaborator with Marin Shakespeare and will continue to look forward to working with them for as long as I am invited. I am proud of the work that I have created with Marin Shakespeare and have always been treated exceptionally well.

I am an actor who worked with this company in the summer of 2009. I was delighted with its dedication to professionalism as well as to the educational function of live theatre. Many of our performances were for elementary school children, who seemed fascinated with a live performance of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. I was particularly fascinated that the students stayed after the performances to ask incisive, and often surprising, questions about the play and the production.

My husband Bob and I have been working at Marin Shakespeare Company for the past 21 years. We are proud to provide the community with excellent Shakespeare productions each summer, and year-round arts education programs that reach 5,000 students each year. Many former students are working in the theatre as actors, teachers, and arts administrators. We are delighted that the experience at Marin Shakespeare has helped train a future generation of theatre artists.
