My first experience with LAMD Foundation was so positive. The work this team does for people with intellectual challenges is remarkable. Countless hours going into the planning of any fundraiser to ensure the event runs smoothly. 100 percent of profits to to this worthy cause. Money has gone to training teachers, lay people in non denominational churches that provide religious education. The program has been open to receiving request from all organizations. And so much more!

I was part of the first crawfish boil we ran in our local KofC council 7186 in Apex. This fundraising event provided 100% of our profit to our local community for people with intellectual difficulties. Even more import was the support we received from the various Churches of all denominations and non-denominations. This what appeared to be a simple fundraiser for OpLamb turned out to ignite a passionate community of faith.

The LAMB Foundation of NC is an amazing organization with a unique ability to help people with intellectual disabilities across the state as well as in our local community. I am proud to lead the fundraising efforts in my local community on their behalf as our goal is to tangibly impact those with intellectual disabilities in the areas of faith, education, and quality of life. In the past, we have supported organizations that provide music therapy, Yoga therapy, horse riding therapy, and much more. Helping those in need - that's what LAMB's about - and that's why I volunteer my time for them!

The LAMB Foundation of NC is an outstanding charity! As local director in Apex, the thing I love the most about it is that we are helping our local community as well as the entire state. Most of the money comes back to our local community as our goal is to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families in the areas of faith, education, and quality of life. It's very rewarding to contact worthwhile support organizations and ask them how we can help further their mission in supporting people with intellectual disabilities! We've helped young people by donating to local schools and churches. We've helped adults by providing equipment to organizations that employ people with disabilities. We've helped youth and adults by defraying costs of some therapies. It's a great way to both engage, and give back to our local community.

As a member of the Knights of Columbus in North Carolina for 38 years, I have worked as a volunteer for over 37 years collecting donations at grocery stores for The LAMB Foundation of NC, Inc. Our council has participated in our Operation LAMB Tootsie Roll drive every year since 1982 and our 10 beneficiaries in the Johnston, Sampson, Harnett and Wayne county areas rely on the donations we receive. Many write our donations into their annual budgets. We have helped purchase many items and have funded many programs for these recipients. In addition to our brother Knights, many of our beneficiaries work side by side with us during our street drives. People give freely and recognize our bright yellow and red aprons. The citizens of our area know that the intellectually disabled in our area are supported and loved. I feel the LAMB Foundation is the epitome of what it means to "love thy neighbor"!

My husband has been volunteering for the LAMB Foundation for a number of years.

During this time I have had the opportunity to visit some of the facilities and programs they help support. The impact of the LAMB Foundation is impressive!

As the LAMB Foundation is composed entirely of volunteers, it is refreshing to know that almost 100% of the funds they raise go directly to support those with intellectual disabilities.

The work I've seen completed by the LAMB Foundation of NC, Inc. has been through our local Knights of Columbus council. They are certainly making a difference in the lives of others! They have raised and donated money in support of those with intellectual disabilities to school programs, music and yoga therapy, church inclusion and faith formation programs, training of facilitators, and special needs employment to name a few. There's nothing better than caring for others and this nonprofit fits the bill.

I'm happy to work with the LAMB Foundation of NC, Inc. via the Knights of Columbus Council 7186. I've assisted the LAMB Director for this council for almost 2 years and have seen the appreciation of those to whom they're able to donate funds. Raising money for this cause is very rewarding. Recent recipients have used the money to benefit both individuals and groups, including increasing awareness and creating web resources for the Diocese of Raleigh to aid with inclusion. What a wonderful cause and how easy it is to participate!

As a special education teach the Lamb foundation has allowed me to create special activities where in the past 3 years we have worked alongside high school students who were designing Eagle Scout projects and the money Lamb Foundation gave my department allowed us to create and outdoor garden where we have grown many vegetables, outdoor easels, and outdoor adapted picnic table with benches so our students would have backs on bench to not fall.

The Lamb Foundation of NC has helped us tremendously in our endeavors to serve individuals and families with disabilities . Our nonprofit, The Arc of Harnett County , provides these families and individuals with workshops, day classes, special events, dances and holiday parties throughout the year. The Lamb Foundations helps us to help them become an active part of their community by contributing to our fundraisers with their time and monetary support.

As a Special Education Teacher I have seen the need for funds to support our special needs students. Sometimes the funding from the school system and the government are not enough. It is a sad oversight of those in power. In the past when I heard that the Knights of Columbus LAMB program was able to support the needs of our students in our school directly, I asked for support. They replied with a check for $1,700. My Principal, colleagues, students and myself were overwhelmed. We now had much needed funds for special needs material and we were able to use some of the monies to take our students to a restaurant and teach them how to order food, pay for it, receive change and give a tip to the waiters. This was truly a life skill training that most of our students in the past were not able to experience. We were also able to buy some clothing for our students who did not have proper clothing. God has truly placed the LAMB program where they are needed. Thank you LAMB.

I work with students with disabilities who have deficits in communication, social skills and functional play. The LAMB foundation provided my classroom with a light table and magnetic blocks! These materials supported my students sensory experiences and communication skills. They have worked together to build structures and were motivated to play and communicate with their peers. These materials has supported and motivated my students to improve their play and social interaction skills.

The foundation is very focused on delivering Quality of Life grants to agencies supporting those with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities. Organizationally, It is an all volunteer group, no one receives a salary. The grant process is very straight forward and is primarily focused at providing funding for local community efforts. As a board member for the O'Berry Foundation the LAMB Foundation has for years provided funds to improve the lives of many individuals in need.

L.A.M.B. is a great organization that helps people with intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics is on the organizations supported by L.A.M.B. Very little of the monies collected to to nonprofit overhead. The vast majority of the funds go to those organizations like Special Olympics that need the support. As a Knight of Columbus (Grand Knight for Council 13488, MCAS New River) I stand outside the local Golden Corral for several hours once a quarter collecting for OP L.A.M.B.

Project LAMB is a great program. They have supported our program Hopes N Dreams for over 7 years We support children and adults intellectual challenged and disabled an our Wounded Warriors. Because of project LAMB an there donation we are able to continue our summer camps, dances, Hooked On Fishing, social events an more. With out Projecr LAMB donation we could not offer these programs at little to no cost to our special needs population. Project LAMB is very important to our community. We are proud that they are part of our family. We are adding a picture of our childrens Christmas party for our toddlers to 12 year olds. With the help from the LAMB foundation we could off this event at a cost of a Big Smile. One of many events we have though out the year. Thank you LAMB foundation we love you all.

My name is Danielle George. I am an exceptional children teacher at Hobbton High School. I teach students with disabilities from grades 9 - 12 in all educational areas (self -contained classroom setting). Operation LAMB has helped my classroom tremendously. This fantastic group has sponsored my classroom with learning opportunities for my students in the community. For example, we were able to attend outings (also named Sampson County Champions Program) with other students with disabilities in the county to activities like bowling, movies, etc. These outings are teachable moments for students that others may take for granted. Without Operation LAMB sponsorship, these outings would be costly for my students. Thank you Operation LAMB for all you do!

I've witnessed first hand how the LAMB Foundation of NC has benefited the special needs population of Haywood County N.C. Having a special needs son myself I can testify that financial struggles can compound the challenges of improving everyday life for special needs children and adults. The LAMB Foundation has help financially to the educational and social networks of our child's life and these contributions have made a dramatic difference in the quality of assistance. I encourage the public to donate the change in your pockets to the Knights of Columbus when you see them at public festivals and church fairs holding out the very familiar yellow LAMB drive jars. Your small donations make a huge difference!

I have been volunteering with LAMB for the past three years. It is one of the most worthwhile charities that I am involved with. The stories that the local teachers deliver at the annual fish fry that our Council hosts, brings tears to the eyes of those in attendance. One teacher actually used her funds to purchase a rug, so that her students would not have to sit on a cold floor.
Other teachers purchase learning tools for their intellectually challenged students. I bring my grandchildren with me to pass out tootsie rolls on some occasions. The experience provides bonding between family members and also teaches young children how to give of themselves in order to assist those less fortunate.

As a member of the Knights of Columbus, I had the opportunity to visit the Caswell Developmental Center in Kinston, NC. I would recommend anyone to visit the center. It is heart breaking to see the individuals but very heart warming knowing the Knights of Columbus devote their time and money to the center.
As a past LAMB Director for my council, I have conducted many LAMB fund collections. I personally know how important the collections are for LAMB. As a LAMB Director I lead my council to be number in the State of NC. It was an honor I will always cherish because I know how much it means to the LAMB Organization. I continue to donate money to LAMB so that it will always help the less fortunate.
The LAMB Organization deserves more credit for their efforts to help the less fortunate.

I've been involved with Operation LAMB for over 15 years. I've watch it grow from giving to about 10 charities to over 40! The money collected goes to the teachers of Cabarrus County. The teachers send pictures of their students using the classroom supplies and trips taken (community based training) with the money donated from the funds of Operation LAMB. The teachers are very grateful for the funds and can't wait for the letter from the Knights to request funds each year. It is truly a vision to see the smiles on the faces of the students and teaches when they receive the funds. I truly believe we ere making a difference.

This organization keeps all of its proceeds in North Carolina. In addition, 85% of all funds collected remain in the local community. All manpower is volunteer, so no overhead goes to cover salary expenses. If you know anyone with a special needs child, you know how much it means to see the community come together and provide support for education supplies, activities and skills training.

I have volunteered with the Lamb Foundation of NC for over eight years, the first three years as a helper and the last 5 years as a director. What a rewarding experience it has been! I have met the nicest people and have seen firsthand the goodness and generosity of the public at large. Our work and the donations we collect mainly go to support those with intellectual disabilities. As a director, I have met many of the people we support, people with whom I would otherwise never come in contact. This experience has opened my eyes to the challenges some people have and has helped me to become a more caring person. I would not trade these experiences for anything.

The LAMB Foundation has been a faithful supporter of our mission of loving, living and learning for the differently able for over 15 years. Holy Angels is a nonprofit 501c3 residential facility in Belmont, NC that provides specialized round-the-clock care for children and adults with intellectual developmental disabilities and delicate medical conditions. The LAMB Foundation, as well as the individual Knights of Columbus Councils, have dedicated their prayers and support to assisting us in providing the highest level of care for those we are privileged to serve. They have provided funding for adaptive equipment, mechanical lifts and transportation to name a few. They have always been eager to have their members come tour, learn more about our mission and develop a mutually beneficial partnership with our agency - because both Holy Angels and the LAMB Foundation strive to serve "the least of these" in all that we do.

For more than 15 years, the Lamb Foundation of NC has supported the Charles Lea Center's Landrum, SC group home for severely intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. Landrum is in the dioses with Tryon and Columbus, NC. The donation is used to buy Christmas gifts for the 16 residents and to celebrate the season with an event for clients, their families and staff. Given the extreme dependence on 24/7 care that the residents have because of their disabilities, trust between the families and staff is so important, especially for this group home. Through the years, Lamb Foundation donations have been used to purchase games and toys for the residents and outdoor items, such as a porch swing and gazebo to allow folks to enjoy being outside. The gentlemen who drop off the check each year seem so interested in the lives of our clients; they always want our folks to be home when they visit!

The NC Knights of Columbus support of Special Olympics North Carolina through the LAMB Foundation of NC is outstanding! The State Council along with many local Councils support SONC on the local and state levels with funding of approximately $100,000 annually while also providing tremendous volunteer support from Council members and their families and friends. We are so grateful for the support given year after year to support our mission to improve the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities through our sports and health & wellness programs.
