I loved seeing Diana Wooley work with our students at Hunt A+. She knows how to keep our little ones engaged through positivite redirection and fun learning opportunities. Thanks Lamb Arts for your dedication to our school!
We are so lucky to have LAMB in our community! My kids have taken classes from toddler to senior in high school. We have enjoyed LAMB EWE in the summer and evening class options as well. The productions are top notch and we can’t wait for more!
My children have been at LAMB since they were newborns! They began with the KinderMusik program which allowed our whole family the opportunity to attend and support their education in the arts. My daughter has attended the Broadway Babes classes and is currently involved in theatre troop. The classes have given her confidence and have provided her with a structured yet fun atmosphere in which to spread her theatrical wings at her own pace and direction. She has attended the Summer Lamb Ewe program for five years and eagerly awaits yet another opportunity his coming year. Our sone was diagnosed with Autism at the age of three and LAMB has given him an outlet to his creative and musical soul. While he lacks some of the control and focus needed for some of the staff work; the staff and peers at Lamb are accepting and kind allowing his singing and dancing to bring us all joy. I thank Lamb for their dedication and acceptance of our children and helping children in the community become successful in their own unique goals with the arts.
LAMB has been a part of our lives for over twenty years! Both of my kids grew up taking classes, music lessons and summer LAMB EWE. Now as adults, my kids and I still love attending shows, participating in fundraisers and supporting LAMB in any way we can. We have introduced many people to LAMB over the years and those people have become season members and enrolled their own kids in classes. We are very lucky to have this caliber of talent in our community.
Lamb Arts Theatre does a tremendous job of providing top quality plays and musicals for Sioux City and the surrounding areas. They also teach students in a variety of performing arts areas and provide them with meaningful experiences they will carry into adulthood! I’ve had the pleasure of working with the talented staff and have learned so my! I’ll always be grateful for Kanb!
lamb Theatre created a nurturing family atmosphere for me when I was experiencing a difficult time. Expressing myself on stage with my Lamb family helped me to build my talents and my confidence. I believe my experience there helped me to be successful in my education and in my career. I owe a great deal to everyone at Lamb and I’m grateful to be able to serve the theatre today as a board member helping to support all that they do.
Lamb is an invaluable asset to the Siouxland community. The productions they produce are top drawer and their education program is truly remarkable.
I’ve been associated with Lamb Theatre for more than 40 years, both as an actress and audience member. They’re known in the region for consistently high quality productions on stage, as well as an arts education center that has impacted the lives of many Siouxlanders of all ages over the years. We’re happy to support them now during their major campaign to move to 625 Douglas in downtown Sioux City…a next logical step for this wonderful organization.
During the last year, LAMB has navigated the various intricacies of providing a high quality live theatre experience during a time where inviting patrons into the physical space of the theatre was constantly changing. Allowing patrons to safely view theatre, implementing new ways for people to attend, including virtual options, and providing programming that fueled a desire to “get back to some normalcy” was not easy for even large organizations - but the staff worked tirelessly to provide this much-needed respite to the greater Siouxland Community. As a patron, I felt grateful that these performances were available. As an actor, I felt grateful to be able to work to provide these performances to the community!
I can't imagine anyone more committed to the world of arts performance and education than Diana and Russ Wooley at Lamb Theatre. For more than 40 years, they've been pointing a beacon of light at the importance of what theatre and music can do for people of all ages, whether it's participatory folks like actors, directors, designers, costumers, students and crew people, or those folks who make up the all-important audiences for the productions. Now that they're undertaking an enormous fund-raising effort to make a move to an historic venue in downtown Sioux City, they need the support of the community more than ever. Count us in!
Lamb Arts does SO MUCH for the arts community: wonderful quality plays and musicals, involving actors and actresses of all ages; learning opportunities with classes for all ages; and outreach into the community by bringing theatrical arts activities to various organizations around town.
LAMB has been a wonder place for all of our children to experience theater as a performer. This experience has helped them to grow into more well rounded young adults.
I have been involved with LAMB's summer camps for the past 12 years as a student and 2 years as a staff member and have loved every moment I get out of it! The Wooley's are always organized and ready to welcome any new faces to their programs. Their shows are also phenomenal and give their actors and audience members unique opportunities like meeting the playwrights. Their range of shows each season always blows me away! I strongly recommend stopping by to see their shows or sign up your kids for their classes during the school year and/or summer.
LAMB provides amazing classes and programming for kids of all ages. My theater loving kids feel at home here and always have fun while learning and gaining confidence. The quality of theater productions they provide to the community is always fantastic.
Lamb has been an important part of my daughter's life. She was struggling to find her niche and needed to build more confidence. Lamb has given her both of these. My daughter says, "it's the only place I can be myself." It's a positive environment where kids can grow and learn.
Finding Lamb theatre and their amazing youth classes finally gave our daughter (now 15) a place to truly belong. The amazing teachers at Lamb mentor and inspire Nessa each year through each class. When she performs on stage it is pure joy for all of us.
We also enjoy attending every show of their season. They pick the best shows and they are always well done.
Lamb Arts is absolutely a Jewel of Sioux City, IA. The city is fortunate to have a professional theater that is locally owned and driven by the expertise and talent that lamb is. Over the years Lamb Theatre is a reliable theater experience for any show they put on, and does so much to continue the growth of Art in the Sioux City Community.
So I first became involved with Lamb when Diana (elementary music teacher at the time) came into my classroom in the early 1980’s and suggested that I audition for Godspell which was being performed at the Hilton. She told me that rehearsals would not be a huge time commitment and that scenes would be staggered so that I wouldn’t have to attend rehearsals every night. Well, I took the bait - hook, line, and sinker! Rehearsals were nightly and carrying flats up the hotel escalator was hard work. But Diana’s invitation began my long standing love affair with the Lamb family. Not only did I perform often when I lived in Sioux City but when I moved to Norfolk, NE, I drove up nightly after work (150 miles round trip) for 3 months to fill my soul and to honor my commitment to the Lamb cast of Company. My devotion to Lamb has grown into a passion for our family . The first date for my husband and me was to attend Evita at Lamb. My mother, a theatre director herself, spent time rehearsing and performing on the Lamb stage; a memorial scholarship fund in her name has been established at Lamb to provide theatre opportunities for young people. My daughter, who is currently living in NYC and has a degree in theatre production and management, spent every summer at the Ewe-niversity singing and dancing her way to happiness. The Wooleys have given us as a family and Siouxland as a community an incredible gift...the awe of live theatre performed at a most professional level. We feel immensely proud and lucky to be associated in some small way with this amazing theatre company.
I have done a few shows at Lamb over the last 5 years and each has been a wonderful experience. I have made wonderful new friends and reconnected with some old ones. Lamb has direction. They are always moving towards new and exciting goals. Their ability to challenge their students, audiences, actors, crew, and themselves is what I admire most about the organization. Lamb's drive is unrelenting.
I'm a playwright who makes his home in NYC. I've had the good fortune to work with many theatres in my career and Lamb Arts is one of the very best. They do top flight productions of timely, thought provoking, and sometimes just purely entertaining shows. Often all at once! I know that when I give them one of my scripts, they will always make me look like a better writer than I am, which I love. I'm impressed with them professionally but also personally. Just excellent, down to earth people whose drive is always to present quality performances and a positive learning atmosphere. They are all about the greater good and as such, are pillars of their community. I cannot recommend them enough!
I have watched Diana and Russ Wooley's live theatre and arts school enterprise grow and flourish in our metro area over the past 30-40 years. It brings me great personal joy when attending performances. I so look forward to them! Diana and Russ are an incredibly talented, authentic and hardworking duo who can bring people together like no other! It is easy to want to be of support to them! The talent they secure, teach, and keep is so great! My friends and I marvel at and are so appreciative of all that Lamb brings to each of us personally as well as to our entire community. Their vision for their new downtown venue is extraordinarily exciting! They have certainly been working hard at it inspite of Covid striking in March, 2019. Their continued success is paramount!
I have been incredibly active in theatre and drama my entire life, but it wasn't until a couple years ago after a bad car accident that I got involved with LAMB. They were an instant fit for me -- they were patient with me while I was recovering and worked around my schedule, and were always so supportive of me. Since then, I have been active in any way I can be -- acting, helping backstage, and now even teaching! Everyone who is a part of the theatre has a heart of gold and only want the best for everyone; Russ and Diana are incredible people in business, on the stage, and as a whole, Brock is an involved, invested, and caring Theatre Administrator, Donny is wonderful to work with for choreography and music, Lindsay is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I am so proud to have been (and will continue being) such an invested part of their community!
LAMB has been a wonderful part of our family! We have attended shows, had our oldest daughter in shows, and now our youngest is involved as well. They are always trying to continue activities in the community - even through COVID they adapted and added summer virtual classes. Fabulous people!
I went to my first LAMB production in September and was so impressed with how kind and helpful the volunteers & employees were. It was a well directed show that kept me laughing & even brought me to tears at the end. Beautiful set in a theatre that made me feel a part of the show. Loved my first experience, can't wait to go back for the next show!
I purchased a season membership to Lamb Theatre this season. My first play to see was Miracle on South Division Street. I was not disappointed! The play and cast was so good!! I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to seeing more plays.
Talented directors who are able to work with people of all ages to create wonderful stage presentations! Special needs actors of all ages can find a place on the stage as well.
Russ and Diana Wooley have worked hard for many years to build a theater that provides excellent plays suitable for all ages. They also work with actors of all ages. The children's theater offerings are of the finest quality. The young people are encouraged to grow as actors and leaders in their schools and community. Some of the plays are on the cutting edge and very provocative. What a gift! Lamb Arts LTD also offers acting and music lessons for persons of all ages. Siouxland is SO blessed to have this organization in our area. The Rev. Del Olivier
Fantastic opportunities for kids to learn and participate in theater. Wonderful variety of productions for everyone to enjoy as well.
I love LAMB Theatre! There are always quality shows being performed and the staff/employees are so friendly. I enjoy coming to this Theater and I will attend for many years to come!
Lamb is not only a great local theater but also a breeding ground for talent. The alumni of the Lamb school are amazingly well trained for futures in music and theater, whether professional or amateur.
My daughter found her “thing” So thankful for the positive influence Lamb has had in her life.

We can't thank Lamb enough for all they have done! Such a great organization. My daughter has gained so much confidence and independence over her time spent with Lamb. She has met many new people from different schools, people she would have never had a chance to meet. We're so grateful for your program! Thank you, thank you!
I took part in the summer "EWE-NIVERSITY" theatre classes at LAMB every summer throughout middle school and high school. At the time we had no idea that this kind of opportunity was available, but it helped me more than I could ever have imagined. I didn't know it at the time, but I was since diagnosed with autism, and communicating with others had long been a struggle for me. LAMB helped me in a couple ways with this. First, it introduced me to other people who share the same interest as me, so I didn't feel isolated from my peers; I felt like I was part of a group and I belonged there. Secondly, LAMB helped me find a new way to communicate via the theatre. I discovered that while I struggle with one-on-one, spontaneous conversation, the theatre is a different way of communicating since everyone has a script and a set part. This the uncertainty out of communicating and helped me, as a person with autism, to communicate with others. We all need to share our passions and communicate with others; we just don't all do it in the same way. LAMB gave me a great outlet not only at that time, but beyond high school. I have since graduated from Morningside College as a mass communications major and a theatre minor, and LAMB was my first time discovering what a valuable tool the theatre can be.
Wonderful for our community to have a theater of this caliber, offering regional and even world premiers of many plays.
Terrific school for aspiring thespians, as our public school system lacks in the theater arts department.
My kids have been involved in the Lamb Theatre school since they were toddlers. The oldest is graduating form high school this year. The skills and confidence they have both gained is immeasurable. The professionalism of the shows, whether children's theater or main stage, is incredible for such a small city and adds so much to the quality of life in Sioux City!
My son started with Lamb school and summer programs a little over a year ago, when he had just finished 2nd grade. He has found a great niche and loves all of their programs. All of the staff is great!
My son has taken theater classes for the last year and a half and absolutely loves it. He enjoys acting, producing and working on different productions. Great teachers - enthusiastic and energetic!
I enrolled my grandaughter in the summer school session 2 years ago and she absolutely loved it. She wanted to then go to the entire season that corresponds with the scool year. One thing I noticed in the classes she attends, all the kids come out at the end of class beaming - sometime singing in the halls and dancing as they leave for the day. I highly recommend these classes to any one with a child. This has exposed her to a new world, and we now go see all the musicals that come through Sioux City. Her favorite so far is West Side Story. Go figure my 9 year old would enjoy a new side of dance and music!
Four of my children have participated in the Ewe-niversity summer camp every year since they were 6 years olds. My oldest is now 16 and it is one of the highlights of her summer. Finally this year, she has had the opportunity to take an acting class and was in her first main stage performance. Seeing the excitement my children have when going to Lamb, makes me smile. Not to mention all the shows I have attended and enjoyed.
LAMB Theatre and School has been a part of my family’s lives for over 10 years. My children have grown into confident individuals no longer fearful of the stage or public speaking. I can’t thank the instructors at LAMB enough for the top notch work they do!
I have been a supporter of LAMB for a number of years . Not only have I never been disappointed with a production, but, my expectations are most often far exceeded. I appreciate that LAMB presents a variety of theatre experiences from thought-provoking to pure enjoyment. I have attended a number of productions featuring the LAMB School students and their enthusiasm and talent are incredible! It seems apparent that LAMB is providing them outstanding education and opportunity in the theatre arts. We are very fortunate to have this marvelous showcase for local talent. I feel very proud that our community offers theatre of this caliber both for students and audiences!
I have had the honor of working with both Diana and Russ Wooley over the past year and both have such a passion and love for the arts and the stage. They have been able to grow in the community and contribute such a beautiful form of art to anyone who wants to be entertained and also be a part of a family who loves giving back through all aspects of stage performances. Sioux City needs this gem that has been established because of Diana and Russell's vision to bring art to life. Everyone that works at Lamb and to anyone who has given their time and work to make each show something special, I say thank you. Thank you for teaching the minds in the Lamb Ewe-niversity and giving children a chance to grow up in a world of wonder and amazement on the stage and find their own love in the theatre.
LAMB Arts Regional Theatre/School has been a great community partner for Hunt A+ Elementary. Through the partnership that has been formed between our school and LAMB, students at Hunt A+ have had the opportunity and will continue to have the opportunity to experience drama and theatre.
I was lucky enough to be cast in a production of Peter and the Starcatcher at LAMB. It was truly an amazing experience work with people who are professional, knowledgeable, invested and inspired by their craft and the worlds that they passionately create. If you get the chance to do a show, do it. Need classes for children, look no further; you will not be disappointed. Thank you LAMB for embracing me and I hope to join you again!
I can't say enough wonderful things about this theatre. From the actors, to the crew, to the staff, LAMB is full of incredible and inspirational talent. Such a great place to see live theatre and participate in live theatre!
I enjoy every experience at Lamb Arts - productions are high quality, the intimate setting means every seat is a great seat and close to the action. Special events and their education programs are top notch as well. This organization is focused on their mission and works to advance it in multiple ways that make sense.
I've been involved with Lamb over the last 2 years both behind the scenes and on the stage. I've not seen it done better; professional staging, respectful and focused actors and directors, and an incredibly loyal audience community. We're lucky to have this place!
We live in Minneapolis and trave to Sioux City to see the plays at the Lamb Theater. We have been shocked at the high quality of drama presented. This is a unique institution for the community and the area. The actors and the sets are all high quality.
I have been attending Lamb Arts Regional Theater for seven years now as a student and a patron. All of Lamb's shows are professionally done and have never disappointed me or my family. Lamb is a safe and fun environment for people of all ages. The classes are led by some of the most professional people around.
LAMB Theatre is an unforgettable experience as a student, actor, or theatre-goer. The Theatre always makes sure to put on a professional show that goes above and beyond the public's expectations. I would highly recommend LAMB to anyone interested.
I'm a professional freelance theatre artist - currently making theatre all over the country. LAMB Arts Regional Theatre was instrumental in my development as a young artist. The school fostered my love of theatre and challenged me, offering excellent preparation for my college auditions while giving me professional guidance. The Wooley's were the first teachers in my life to show me that a professional career in the arts was possible. Additionally, they continue to provide an enormous amount of value to the community around them: artistically enriching the lives of patrons, students, as well as artists in Sioux City with tons of talent that needs to be shared. Coming in contact with LAMB was, by far, the most valuable moment of my career. It gave me a solid foundation, investing me with the passion and skillset to keep growing.
I have recently become involved with LAMB Arts as an actor in Mainstage productions, as well as a volunteer on fundraising committees. LAMB continues to raise the bar on artistically produced plays and musicals that rival any seen at professional playhouses in major cities. They couple most plays in the season with a "Projects of Hope" night; an opportunity for other area non-profits to use the night's production income as a means to fundraise for their own organization. From infants to adults, LAMB provides a welcoming "home away from home" and a creative environment to learn and grow.
I have had the priviage to work with this organization for the last 8 years. The service they provide to the community is invaluable. The theatre and school are a place where kids and adults can come and feel apart of something important. People can come to explore and grow as individuals. I truly appreciate the safe haven they provide for children in the community.
Our daughter is 9 and has been involved with Lamb for several years already. She absolutely loves it! The environment is great for learning and welcoming to all who want to participate. We are donors as well - to keep this local gem going strong for our daughter and future generations.
Our involvement with Lamb Arts has been via our grandchildren's participation in theatre productions. The opportunity available to young people through Lamb is extraordinary. They can't wait to attend and perform with the superlative direction of Russ and Diana Wooley and their exemplary staff and volunteers. Vital life lessons of hard work, discipline and responsibility has resulted in gains in self confidence and pride being demonstrated by our grandchildren. Watching thirty plus kids and young adults clean the theater after the last performance was outstanding. What a team and how well they represent Lamb. Lamb is a community art cultural gem!
I just enjoyed my first play at LAMB Theater when I went to see Fiddler On the Roof Jr. My husband and I had a wonderful time and look forward to seeing many more shows there.
I enjoyed my experience at Lamb Theater! The performance of Henry Herman was amazing!
Great plays, terrific actors and an awesome theatre experience. I've been a season ticket holder for several years and Lamb never fails to disappoint. Sioux City is very lucky to have such a wonderful theatre to call home.
As an individual that attends numerous plays during the year, Lamb Arts Regional Theatre continues to impress me with the quality of the students that it educates on a continuing basis. It is a great pleasure to see the growth in these students as they progress in theatre.
As an educator, I am so impressed and grateful to the teachers at Lamb Theatre. I have watched my children grow in confidence, skills, and have seen the love of the art of drama flourish within them. Only great teaching can make that kind of a difference. It is a wonderful, safe place for children to learn how to express themselves through acting, music, and dance.
I never cease to be impressed by the caliber of students coming out of the LAMB school. Their intelligence, professionalism, respect for the craft and dramatic traditions is remarkable. The passion and dedication demanded of the staff to achieve these ends is nothing short of miraculous. I have a hard time imagining a Sioux City without LAMB.
Lamb Arts has been providing an outstanding place for youth to learn more about all aspects of theatre and bulding their own self confidence for years. Our son participated in their summer camps about 20 years ago...now he takes his baby to the kindermusik.
I LOVE attending theatre, and am never disappointed in the quality of the shows and talent it it's a Lamb show!
I love attending theatre productions, and appreciate the professional performances (especially when I can "forget" that I know the person on stage, because they "become" the role!) I especially love watching the young people as they grow and mature with their roles. I won't miss a play at Lamb!!Shay G
I have been volunteering at Lamb for over 7 years!! The entertainment is spectacular!!! I bought a season ticket the 1st year and have not missed 1 show in all these years. I have seen the students mature through their classes, vocal lessons and just life lessons!! I am a House Manager on many shows so I hear the publics comments on all the shows they see...which are very positive. I also volunteer with the costuming and have gotten to know and love the all the actors!! Lamb is a great place to be involved, meet new people and totally enjoy a night at the theatre! I plan to volunteer as long as I am capable!!!
In 2006, my son started taking voice lessons at Lamb Theatre....That is when my association started. I volunteered alot of time there...I helped with costumes, I ushered at the shows and I worked the concession stand...my son stopped doing shows when his college life took him too far away to do a show, but I continue to give them my time. I house manage alot of shows now and have become a Season ticket holder. I have seen the growth in so many actors, young and old, and KNOW the staff at Lamb Theatre has had everything to do with it. They are very caring, honest, hard working and ALWAYS there for someone in need. As long as I can, and as long as they need me, I will be there for them in any capacity that is needed.
Our middle school daughter joined the Lamb Musical Theater class and also took their 3-week summer camp this year. She gained more self confidence from Lamb than we could have ever hoped for. It is as if she feels like a whole different person. It was quite a transformation for us to watch. We are very happy with all that Lamb has to offer. Extremely professionally run and the teachers are caring, competent professionals that love teaching kids. The productions are very well done and the set design far surpasses what even most adult community theaters would do. The staff is highly organized and good at communicating with parents.
I never review things but decided that Lamb is worth spend time letting people know about.
The difference that Lamb THEATRE has made in our lives is profound. Our teenage daughter was looking for an outlet for her acting and singing that was not to be found anywhere else in Sioux City...Lamb filled that so perfectly it is hard to find words to express our gratitude. Our daughter had the raw talent but Lamb gave her focus and incentive to be so much better. The owners and staff are above talented themselves, are encouraging and know what they are doing to help children through adults lead a creative life. They GET these children and adults who need to create through music and acting and then provide a wonderful environment for them to share their gifts with Sioux City and the surrounding area. Our daughter has been given an amazing gift to be able to perform at Lamb and we cannot recommend it highly enough! This school has given her the education that could normally only be found in major cities. And we have it RIGHT HERE!
We have been enjoying the classes and productions at LAMB for several years and they never cease to amaze us with their devotion to each and every play and each and every person who walks through their doors whether they are their actors or their audience. They strive to share this experience of live theatre and the magic that is produced onstage with everyone. The Sioux City area is beyond blessed to have LAMB Theatre available to them!
