Mission: KPI, a public 501(c)(3) corporation was founded in 1995 to provide education, resources, referrals for professional care, advocacy and support to children, youth and adults challenged with AD/HD and LD to become self-advocates and reach their true potential, and to provide these to families who are financially disadvantaged, under-served and at risk.
Programs: KPI has monthly speaker and sharing/discussion groups for adults and their significant others; annual topical symposium, quarterly newsletter for members, multisensory lending library of 750+ books, audio & video tapes on every aspect of ADHD and LD across the likespan; give workshops to teachers and parents in public, private and parochial schools, private consultations, and appear on TV and radio and prepare print media to increase public awareness; annual giving campaign; quarterly Forum at local hospital to promote exchange between clinicians, researchers and academicians.
