Causes: Education
Mission: Iamot is the only international organization whose mission is to advance state-of-the-art in the management of technology (mot) education and research. As such, the majority of our members are faculty and students of degree granting academic institutions. Iamot is dedicated to encouraging high quality research and education in the field of mot. It accomplishes this purpose through various activities, including sponsoring international conferences; accrediting the mot educational programs, publishing periodicals, conference proceedings, a book series, and a scholarly archival journal on mot and innovation ("technovation") beside its support of a number of other internationally recognized journals. Iamot acts as an information exchange hub on teaching and research issues in mot. The association has approximately 300 active members from 79 countries.
Programs: Iamot held its 25th annual international conference in june 2016 in orlando, florida at the wyndham orlando resort. The conference was well attended with 72 full members, 146 registrations from 29 countries and a well attended keynote speech presented by dr. Osman ahmed.
iamot provides periodic journals to its members.
iamot's accreditation board has created educational programs intended to give accredited members the professional skills needed to meet the current and anticipated technology management needs of businesses and government organizations.
