The best Shakespeare company in Florida. Their annual productions have world class actors and they’re always free for the community. You’re missing out on amazing theater if you haven’t seen one of them.

Shakespeare In The Park Miami provides South Florida with free Shakespeare shows. They provide essential access to Shakespeare to the community, many of whom will experience Shakespeare for the first time, and many of whom come back year after year for these beautifully and lovingly produced plays.
Miami Shakes is one of the best Shakespeare companies in the USA!! I had the pleasure of enjoying the productions over the past 5 years. My husband and I even travel from New York to come see the shows. The actors are top-notch and the sets, music and surroundings are very well done. You feel transported in time. The art + stage direction + overall flow of the show are magnificent and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys theater, especially Shakespeare.
The experience we've had with this organization has been incredible. Exposure to live theatre and community building opportunities while working with incredibly talented people. Everyone should have the fortune to experience organizations such as this one. Our family has attended and participated as volunteers and donors over ten years and we have loved every performance.
Shakespeare in the Park Miami changes lives. It changed mine! It gave me an opportunity to act in front of an audience with professional actors all while leaning about Shakespeare. I learned so much about Shakespeare that I wished I’d learned at school! And the best part is that Shakespeare in the Park Miami brings theater to audiences for free, something that is very rarely found today, especially in a big city. Sitting in the audience, under the stars, enjoying your picnic, is an unforgettable experience. This nonprofit is a gem.
I've been watching free performances put on by Shakespeare Miami since I was in high school (so for a little over a decade), and absolutely love the company. Their mission is to bring professional-quality productions of Shakespeare's works -- all of them, not just Hamlet and Macbeth -- to the public in South Florida at no cost.
As someone whose first experiences with Shakespeare were the performances put on by Shakespeare Miami, I know firsthand how meaningful and impactful this type of exposure can be for young viewers and the lifelong passion for the arts that it can inspire.
Always a great evening when we see a Shakespeare play at the Pinecrest Gardens amphitheater. Last year's performance of Merchant of Venice--a challenging and controversial play--was movingly acted by a young, enthusiastic cast along with an experienced Shakespearean actor from Canada. Even better, there is no charge for tickets making live theater an accessible outing for families. Can't wait to see Hamlet.
Shakespeare Miami’s mission is to produce professional productions of Shakespeare's plays and present them to the public free of charge. This admission policy is unique since, in this case, “free” actually means “free.” Many major festivals claim to be free for all but, in reality, reserve a large percentage of available tickets to donors.
Best of all the level of performance is very high.
The plays are presented in venues in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties and give audiences throughout South Florida an opportunity to see trained professional actors performing the classics.
Shakespeare Miami also provides an opportunity for young actors and backstage volunteers to gain experience in the classics--a rare chance in South Florida. I'm very much looking forward to Hamlet in January 2018.
