Mission: In reach believes that all students should be in reach of a quality education, opportunities in their communities for development, and ultimately, their dreams. In order for us to be successful at helping students reach this goal, in reach prepares them for college, work and life.
Programs: After school programs - during 2017, in reach implemented two main direct service programs, the college and career ready 21st century community learning center ccr 21st cclc afterschool program for students in grades kindergarten through eighth and the youth ambassadors ya college access high school program at parkdale high school. The ccr 21st cclc served up to 160 students at three schools, two elementary and one middle school in prince georges county, maryland. It also operated a family academy for parents and families of students participating in its afterschool programs. The ya program provided 26 students with college and career ready activities and service learning opportunities.
outreach & public engagement - in reach is committed to raising awareness and engaging stakeholders in the issues that currently challenge its mission. We advocate by creating, collecting and disseminating information and uniting voices to speak on behalf of children, youth and their families. In reach continued to raise awareness about the educational needs of students in k-12 grades, families, and educators in prince georges county, md via its social media sites twitter, facebook, blog, website, youtube and other communication materials i. E. Newsletter.
special initiatives - in reach continued to collaborate and engage in initiatives to advance its mission and fulfill its vision. It partnered with local agencies, other nonprofit organizations and community leaders to promote a number of issues including child mental health and various educational initiatives.
