Program was instrumental in helping me obtain my childcare license. Their step-by-step guidance made the entire process easier to navigate, breaking down complex requirements into manageable tasks. The coaching sessions were incredibly valuable, offering personalized advice and answering all my questions. The program also provided useful resources, from mock inspections to regulatory checklists, ensuring I was fully prepared for the licensing process. Thanks to GOFCC, I felt confident and ready, and I successfully earned my childcare license. I highly recommend this program to anyone pursuing a career in childcare.
I have loved working with GOFCC over the past year. They made the process of getting licensed so easy and smooth. From coordinating the trainings that are available to me and walking through the process of setting up my areas and paperwork and how to best communicate with different people in different situations, the guidance that they have provided has been priceless. I would recommend PG CRC to anyone who is working with children as the resources alone is so incredibly valuable. Thank you for all of the work you guys put into me and my daycare and for the endless value you have in my life.
I am incredibly grateful for their invaluable support in helping me realize my dream of opening a family child care. From the moment I reached out to them, they provided clear guidance, resources, and encouragement that made the entire process smooth and manageable.
Starting a family child care was something I always wanted, but the journey seemed overwhelming at first. They made everything easier by offering step-by-step assistance, from understanding the regulations to ensuring my space met all the necessary requirements. They also connected me with training opportunities and gave me the confidence I needed to move forward.
I just want to say thank you to PGCRC. They have helped me accomplish so much as far as my journey becoming a licensed childcare provider. I have been trying to accomplish this for 6 years and I've had multiple setbacks until I was referred to participate in the GOFCC program. Thank you to Ms. Tammy and all the staff who have helped us on the wonderful journey. They have been amazing at making sure and helping us get what we needed, classes, training, supplies. Just a wonderful line of support. So again thank you. You are appreciated. Keep up the great work. You all are amazing .
The Prince Georges Resource Center is a valuable resource to the child care community. They support and educate families, train and educate child care professionals, guide and inspire Center Directors and are leaders in the community. Greenway Learning Center has partnered with PGCRC for years. We utilize many of the programs provided-Project Win, Director's Coffee Hour, Professional Development and one of our favorites is their annual Child Care Conference.

The Prince Georges Child Resource Center (PGCRC)has trained and supported the Greenway staff for years and I look forward to many more years of training opportunities with them. 2020 and covid-19 have been difficult for all but it has hit child care professionals extremely hard. The PGCRC staff has been a life saver to many professionals in the county. They have provided support, guidance and love during these trying times along with keeping us informed on funding opportunities, virtual trainings, advocacy and much needed mental health checks. Keep up the amazing work and I look forward to thanking you in person when it is safe to do so.
This program has been extremely helpful. I have attempted to start my family childcare center two times prior to this time. The times prior to this one had not been successful due to lack of organization, guidance, and resources. This is now my third attempt and thanks to the resource center I am in my final stages of becoming a register family childcare provider! Not only has the program helped with guidance but also resources, classes, and everything I need to prepare me for opening my family childcare. Having Tammie as a point of contact has been the best part. She has been there to answer every question that I have had throughout this process. Thank you Prince George’s County Resource Center!
As an aspiring family childcare owner, I was connected with the Childcare Resource Connect to participate in their childcare coaching and licensing programs (GOFCC). Throughout the process I had mentorship to ensure I understood the processes as I embarked on this journey. Whenever I had additional questions my direct support contact was available and very attentive to my needs. Additionally, they provided support with courses needed for licensing ad well as startup material. I highly recommend The Childcare Resource Connect to everyone!
All throughout the years, PGCRC have been fundamental in helping us server our families and children in our community. From sending staff to assist our teachers in their classrooms to offering a plethora of training to teachers and admin, they do it all. We would not be where we are today if it was not for them.

They have supported us in many different ways by providing resources, human capital, and knowledge to support our existing programs. They continue to do so in many different areas and are a staple in our childcare community.
I highly recommend the prince George's Child Resource Center as a resource for your childcare center. The expertise and guidance that is provided through the resource centers employees have been instrumental and aiding and assisting educators as well as children. I have used this program many times, and will use it many more times in the future. Families benefit greatly from the resource center due to the active involvement and communication between this program's staff and the families they serve. Teachers also benefit from this program as many classes are offered to build on educators prior knowledge and to help them stay up-to-date on the latest practices. This helps educators more effectively serve children and their families.
Greetings! I represent Level Up Learning Center here in the Mississippi Delta, where I serve as the Chief Executive Officer for a NonProfit Organization. My colleagues and I provide in kind services and together we are also responsible for Level Up success! Dr. Shaw and Ms. Blunt, and I have pooled personal resources and leverage personal assets in which we have been blessed to remain open for almost four years, we have 30 students on roll (max capacity), we have 40 children on a "waitlist", and we stand in need of help to sustain. Of course you know, traditional banks do not like to offer loans to non profit organizations, so we am consistently seeking grant opportunities and we have been fortunate enough to continue leveraging resources to educate families with job training, high quality childcare, community engagement and support. We amplify the voices of people and communities struggling against inequities and lack of access to Economic Opportunity. We opened in the middle of the pandemic to help families and children with continuing education. The virtual world was horrible for students and children of all ages here in Mississippi. Scores were already low and our children have not caught up as of yet. Level Up Learning Center provides a safe space for children ages 8 weeks and beyond. Many of our families cannot afford childcare tuition and childcare facilities are closing across the country. To help us break the cycle of intergenerational poverty, being community led, and focusing on family, children, and youth, we greatly appreciate any financial sponsorship or any additional support so that we may continue to provide a safe educational space! We will continue to build up opportunities for children and families in our community to thrive in school, work, and life here in the Mississippi Delta. We are humble servants here in the Heart of The Delta and would like to thank you for your time! You can check us out at

Thank You For Your Time and I look forward to Future Possibilities!
Each year the Resource Center provides family support services to over 1,500 families and training to over 2,000 child care providers, parents, and human services workers potentially touching the lives of nearly half a million children since 1990. This work is accomplished through home visits, child development education, links to community services, and adult education.
This Center embodies IMPACT. From the mission, to the effective leadership, to the amazing staff, to the responsive programs and training. The focus on healthy children and healthy families is vital to a resilient, well-functioning society. I am consistently impressed by the Center's work and their reach and impact continues to grow each year. Even with their continued success, I admire how the leaders want to continually improve how they serve the community and support staff. I will always promote and support this Center!
I first came into contact with PGCRC in 2002, I recently relocated to MD with a newborn baby and after two and half years I was ready to return to the workforce, so I thought PGCRC would serve as a resource to locate childcare, as I did not know anyone else in the area. A couple of years later I mom whose daughter was in pre-school with my daughter who served on the board recommended me to the Executive Director to serve on the board. After an interview and a vote I was afforded the opportunity to join the board of directors.
Great staff and resources for the community! Check out the newly renovated office and learn more about us!
I have worked with PGCRC for the past 10 years. They offer excellent services to support children, families, child care providers, and the community to ensure children have the best care and are ready for school. They have providers and parents/families be the best caregivers possible. The staff is amazing and wonderful! Be sure to learn about this amazing agency and how you can support them.
PGCRC has a special relationship with child care providers in Prince George's County. They go the extra mile to ensure providers have what they need to care for children and families. They also do so much for families so caregivers and parents can support young children's growth and development. Their staff have deep expertise in the field and that experience comes through in how they deliver programming. Definitely a bright spot in Prince George's County and the broader Washington, DC metro area!
I have had the opportunity to work firsthand with this organization and am continually impressed by their dedication to the individuals they serve. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure that they have the right resources to serve their patrons in the best way possible. The individuals and the organization at the whole are dedicated to the mission and leave a lasting mark on Prince George's County.
We have seen PGCRC's team respond to front line concerns and needs of childcare providers in such a thoughtful way time after time. They are a real asset to Maryland, Prince George's County and to the early childhood sector.
When I've needed assistance with anything dealing with my childcare business, I would call Ms. L. Terrell or her peers and they would be right there to assist me and or walk me through what was needed. I have informed other providers to call when help is needed dealing with childcare.

The thought, consideration, and attention to detail that the staff and leadership of Prince George's Child Resource Center put into every aspect of their work is readily apparent, and the reason they are such a wonderful partner and resource for the families of Prince George's County!
The work that all members of PGCRC is amazing and in complete service to their wide-ranging community. The wealth of programs and services provided is shouldered by the wonderful people who prioritize their participants and trying to serve to the best of their capacity. Beyond good intentions, the professionalism, empathy and care from the family support specialists and facilitators bring effective and efficient support to whoever knocks on their doors.
Thank you to everyone at PGCRC for making the world a better place!
I have been familiar with the work of Prince George’s Child Resource Center for a very long time. As an employee of another local nonprofit I turn to the Resource Center for resources for expecting parents and family support services. I know that Prince George’s Child Resource Center is committed to the families of Prince George’s County and is committed to fulfilling their mission of creating healthy and nurturing environments for children
PGCRC has been and continues to be an integral part of my professional growth. The staff there is very knowledgeable and always willing to help.
I am a professional consultant and PGCRC used to be one of my clients. During our work together, I had the pleasure of learning their history, their staff, the programs, and their impact directly from their Executive Director and Communications Specialist. I was regularly impressed and humbled with their commitment to serving the people and children of Prince George's County. Through their example, they taught me the critical importance of wrap-around services, and the impact that dedicated, experienced staff can have when they are able to build long-term relationships throughout the community. Prince George County is a demonstrably safer, healthier, and more equitable because of the work they've done over the past 30 years and I'm grateful to have been able to witness it.
PGCRC provided training to my staff and I in support of our after school program at a local arts center! So glad to have completed our training here and to have their staff as resources!
Their staff is so knowledgeable. I have used their resources to find services for both of my children and everyone’s child in between. Additionally I have used them to determine if I wanted to begin my own childcare business. I don’t know what I would do without Prince George’s Child Resource Center, Inc.
PGCRC is a first rate nonprofit! My affiliation with them began in 1993, when I first worked for PGCRC. For over five years, I was part of the of helping young parents find and choose licensed childcare. Later, I gave technical assistance to child care providers and centers as they sought to improve the quality of programs for families. I could see the passion of the team from the beginning. When I became a nursery school teacher I was able to access their mental health consultant for my classroom. I was given support that assisted a particular child in need, but was beneficial for the whole classroom. At the present time, I work with the library system and have teamed up with PGCRC in many ways to support the families, children and child care providers in our county. PGCRC has been a wonderful place to work for, receive support from, and partner with! I highly recommend their programs and staff. It is a true pillar of our county.
Prince Georges Child Resource Center Wow! When I was introduced to the great staff at the Prince Georges Child Resource Center my job as a Director became more rewarding. That was not the end of it allowed me to network with provider is such a fantastic way. My center was selected to be a part of the Early Learning Reading First grant and the help and support we received was amazing. The students, staff and parents were truly Blessed. Prince Georges Child Resource Center cares very much about the support of families, providers and the community. As previously stated my job as a Director has been rewarding but not only that I became an advocate for Early Childhood Education and everything I'm experiencing is because of the Prince Georges Child Resource Center. The Prince Georges Child Resource Center has no respect of person and will help anyone who desires assistance. I encourage providers to utilize this organization you will benefit from the information provided. The Prince Georges Child Resource Center is dedicated and committed to its purpose whether we use it or not and that is true advocacy. I have attended advocacy meetings where there may have been five providers but the meeting was conducted as if we had 30. I am very pleased with the support, encouragement, knowledge and experience the Prince Georges Child Resource Center has provided for me and my program!!!!!
Prince George's Child Resource Center truly cares about the child care providers in the region. Time and time again, I have seen staff go out of their way to work one on one with providers needing services. The staff is incredibly professional. They are exceptionally organized and attentive to all requests. They truly care about the quality of the trainings provided and seek to plan workshops that most fit the needs of the community. The also quickly meet the requests for onsite technical assistance from providers. The quality of child care in the region has benefited in so many ways from their attentive and dedicated work within the community!
I have found the Adelphi/Langley Park Family Support Center very useful and life changing. I really appreciate the Center's management and teachers. With such great and practical courses like English reading and writing, Employment Readiness, Cooking Matters to name a few; I have enjoyed the teaching methods and materials.
We moved in 2017 from a non-English speaking country, and I tried a lot to find a place where I could learn English. I found Prince George College where I passed the exam but the issue was my two years old daughter. I could not afford a private child care center. My family’s immigration case was with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and it was my case manager who enrolled us at the Family Support Center. Besides leaning to read, write and speak English; more importantly, I have learned how to better take care of my children. I have learned how to make each of them a better person to the community and how to build their awareness of things around them.
My daughter is growing very well and she has learned a lot of good lessons such as how to name colors, color pictures, read ABC to Z, count numbers, have basic English conversations like how to greet, and say thank you and welcome.
By attending classes at the Center one change that I have made in my life is how to communicate with others in the society without waiting for my husband or a neighbor. Now I can make doctor appointments and speak with others when I go shopping or any other place of business.
The Adelphi/Langley Park Family Support Center is the only place where they gave me the opportunity to not waste my time by sitting at home and doing nothing due to my two years old daughter. They accepted me and my daughter as students at a very difficult time in my life when I had so much tensions and stresses about my upcoming life after moving to a new country where everything was different from my home country. Adelphi/Langley Park Family Support Center helped me to be independent and run my life smoothly. I have not keep these things I learned to myself, but share them with family and friends every chance I get.
Finally, we appreciate the staff at the Center for what they do every day. We really appreciate the organizations and people who established such great centers and are helping families to change their lives and the lives for their children.
I had the pleasure of volunteering with Prince George's Child Resource Center this past summer and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. The staff greeted me with open arms and it was great to hear all the great things they are doing in the community. They ensure the needs of diverse families are met and create life-long partnerships among their organization and the community.
Prince George's County Child Resource Center is the go to place for early childhood care and education providers in Prince George's County for training, networking, resource materials, technical assistance and early childhood mental health services. My staff and I have been members for 30 years! I love the professional, caring team that goes above and beyond to help members of the community. They provide forums for ground floor advocacy for children, families and the early childhood profession. So glad to have this nonprofit as a resource!
I just love the PG Resource Center. Everyone down to Jodi, Paul, Sheila, Yenny, and Jennifer are great professionals who are always available as a reference or resource to us. I am so grateful for this organization, they provide interactive Director's coffee's, annual childcare conferences, and monthly training for educators. I would definitely rate them 20/10 with the wealth of knowledge and expertise they all have. In addition, I will continue to use their services and would recommend them to any childcare program, provider, and/or ECE professional.
Prince George's Child Resource Center does such outstanding, impressive work for their community and creates such powerful relationships that achieve lasting change in Prince George's County. They are excellent at what they do and they have blown me away, time and time again, when I hear about what they are doing and what they've accomplished.
I find the Prince George's Child Resource Center, Inc provides high quality services to the Early Childhood Education community in the county. The staff genuinely cares about the work they are doing with those they are serving. Their commitment to improving the quality of the Early Childhood Education system in the county.
Learning about and becoming Sefel Certified is life changing for me in how I view, care for and respond to the children that I teach, my own family/children and my community!
I will never be the same and I know my work and life will flourish as a result of the Prince George’s Child Resource Center Inc.
So grateful my Director Mrs. Miller at Little Smiling Faces Day Care Center signed me up for Sefel!

I'm pleased to say that my family and I have been involved with Prince George's Child Resource Center for the past 9 years. Initially, as a child care provider, PGCRC provided supportive services to my Program and families. As a provider, I took a majority of my continuing education through them. For the past 5 years, I've had the honor to serve on the Board of Directions. We have provided support to the families accessing services through the Holiday Helper program and volunteering in the Early Childhood Classroom at the Family Support Center.

I've worked with Prince George's Child Resource Center for the past 7+ years. First as a provider who was able to take a number of courses for my continuing education. I received services in my business to help children and families through the WIN program as well. For the past 3 years, I have serviced on the Board of Directors and I'm honored to do so.
The best group and non-profit organization who cares for the families and children of the immigrant community! This organization makes a difference in Prince George's County with committed staff who values the empowerment and education of children and families in general. Thank you for all you do and for keeping our children and families in a safe and learning environment.

We are very blessed to have a committed group of people that empower women and educate toddlers in both languages, English/Spanish. I had the honored to work and serve as a Board Member with Adelphi/Langley Park Family Support Service under the leadership of Danitza Simpson. Since the first day I met this group, which has been more than 10 years, they have impressed me with the dedication to provide a safe and healthy environment to parent and children's, as well as opportunities to expose them to trips and visit places that they may have never known about it. We have partnered and adopted families for Thanksgiving and Christmas occasions making the families comfortable, loved and safe. This organization serves low income immigrant families and continues to lead women to success. Very proud to be part of this Advisory Board Group of more than 30 people who work together for the benefit of the underserved population in Prince George's County, MD.
Great group working not only for the populations they serve, but also to unite the community as a whole by collaborating with other organizations and sharing resources.
I am really not sure what I would have done without the support of the Prince George’s County Resource Center. My son was going through a very difficult time in his daycare and the resources and support the resource gave me helped me to make the best decision about his mental health. Our consultant, Taylor, was by my side helping me to advocate for my son. If I didn’t have the support from the resource center I don’t think I would have had thee resources or information to make the best decisions. This is an absolutely amazing program!
One of the best non profits in Prince George's County. The Best for Training, the best for Family support services.
I highly recommend the Prince George's Child Resource Center as a trainer of child care providers and a provider of services to vulnerable families and their children. The organization is very well managed, impactful, and collaborative. PGCRC makes a significant difference in the lives of children and their families, as well as the Prince George's County community.

This Amazing Organization does so much for the community in Prince George’s County.
Prince George’s Child Resource Center assists in creating healthy and nurturing environments for children by supporting their families and educating their caregivers. The partnership with Healthy Families also bridges the gaps in these types of nurturing experiences and lessons that will help our children everyday.
As the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Prince George’s Child Resource Center, Inc, we work tirelessly to ensure the financial and business acumen of the organization remains solvent. We do so much to provide impact in the community and our job is to continue to govern accordingly and grow the support of the community and team members. This is a great organization to work for. The PGCRC staff is talented, driven, and passionate about their vision for Prince George’s County. The organization is continuously looking for ways to serve families while always looking for ways to improve the experience for their employees as well. I am honored to be part of this team.
The training that is offered is relevant and current. They keep the sessions informative as well fun. They are able to go out to different centers and work with teachers, aides, and directors with the training they need too. They give you tools to better perform in the classrooms. Paul, Laura and Jodi have been helpful in supporting all aspects of the child care industry. The trainings at the White Mansion, and the Resource Center help keep this field going strong and current in regulations that change or are new.
Prince George Resource Center's classes, conferences and project win have provided my staff and me so many wonderful opportunities to grow as early childhood professionals.
Paul Armstrong has been a great mentor by showing us how we can improve everyday routines, activities and appropriate developmental opportunities for the children.
I am happy to know that I have a great organization right there for us any time we need them.

We attend meetings and opportunities to network at their location. They support our profession by advocating for children, families and providers and teachers and they support Directors especially! I count on them and the excellent staff who work there. They go above and beyond the call of duty. The Prince George's Child Resource Center is an absolutely wonderful organization. I have personally volunteered with this organization and have witnessed positive changes in the lives of children and their families. I believe in the mission of The Resource Center which is to help create healthy and nurturing environments for children by supporting their families. I will continue to support this organization and look forward to the years ahead.
Outstanding service to the community. I have been working with the Center for over 10 years. Customers referred are always happy with the services.
We have been using this center's resources for about 10 years and have been extremely happy with their workshops. Their staff is always very pleasant and helpful when we're planning our training. The instructors are top-notch and very well-liked by all our staff members. Whenever there are new requirements, they even remind us so that we keep up to date with state standards.
Prince George's Child Resource Center has been a consistent partner in educating my staff. From the 90 Hour Preschool class to all of the required courses like the ADA and the Basic Health and Safety, PGCRC has provided excellent instruction. Even more importantly, project Win and Paul Armstrong have helped us navigate challenging behaviors. My staff of 40 was virtually transformed by Paul's CSEFEL training and our students have benefitted tremendously.
The Prince George's child Resource Center has been an invaluable resource to our early childhood teachers for their professional development. They have given workshops to our teaching staff for 5 or 6 years now, on topics ranging from dealing with disabilities, managing stress, better reading strategies, creating a great outdoor environment, creating a great foundation in mathematics, and so many more topics. We have had groups of 20-25 teachers.
All the speakers are extremely knowledgeable and professional. They use a lot of hands on techniques and varied approaches to teaching. The coordinator is always so accommodating and willing to work with our requirements. I can't recommend them more highly.

I have been working with the Prince Georges Child Resource Center Inc. since 1995. Words can not express my gratitude for working with this great team of people. This is my go-to place for the best training and professional development that I have seen over the years. They have a genuine love and passion for what they do and it shows every time they come out an train my staff. I do not know what I would do without them especially when it comes to training regarding special needs children.
The PG Resource Center is just that! It is a resource for us! We call there all the time to get information about classes, for behavioral help and for new resources that may be available. The staff is very helpful and encouraging!
Project Win is located at the Resource Center. Paul Armstrong, who runs the program, has become a very precious resource to us as we navigate through and with children with behavioral issues.
I can't imagine running a daycare center without the help of the resource center!

I LOVE the resource center. Particularly the Monthly Director's Coffee Meetings. Attending on a monthly basis keeps me up to date with current and upcoming events. I am thrilled that I have the opportunity to engage and interact with other directors and share our stories. I also like that on several occasions we can interact with people from the Office of Child Care, Excels, Credentialing and many others knowledgeable individuals. The Resource Center also give us multiple resources. Best of all, the staff is GREAT! They are always ready and willing to assist us in any way they can.
Child care providers would be lost without the Prince Georges Child Resource Center. Their professional, caring and knowledgeable staff provides training for licensed child care homes and centers in PG County, they offer training to centers on how to deal with children with challenging behaviors and they are an important resource and support to parents and families in the area. Our center relies on the PGCRC extensive training opportunities to meet the requirements set by the Maryland State Department of education for child care providers in Maryland. The staff has been working together for many years and are like family to many of the providers they train, teach and support. Hats off to the awesome staff of the Prince Georges Child Resource Center.
Prince George's Child Resource Center is an excellent resource for children, families, and professionals who work in Early Childhood Education. This nonprofit has a staff dedicated to supporting anyone they can! This nonprofit organization has made their mark by providing professional development opportunities for Early Childhood educators and families who need support. As a professional with expertise in the field of Early Childhood Education, I recognize the impact of resources that this agency provides and how beneficial they have been for those that use them. This agency provides an array of additional supportive resources, like Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation and hosting continuing education/professional development. These resources help individuals enhance their own knowledge and learn about ways to advocate for themselves and children! The opportunities for professional developmental also encourage developmentally appropriate practices in classrooms and child care programs! It's an excellent nonprofit and I fully support their mission!
I am a child care provider. I have received 98% of my "quality" training at the Prince George's Child Resource Center since 1999. The folk there are like family! Recently, I converted from a home day care to a child care center. The overnight change was...and is overwhelming for me. I went from being with the children full time (which is the enjoyment of this for me) to paperwork, expenditures that I can't meet and deadlines! It seemed like everybody wanted a piece of me...NOW! After 19 years of child care service and only 8 months of the conversion I was ready to walk away. I was chatting with Ms. Laura, one of the coordinators at the Resource Center about how I felt. I was stressed to a financial, physical, mental and emotional point. That talk resulted in her throwing me, what I feel like a life preserver in the middle of an ocean! Just a week later, I heard from her and she had arranged a meeting with myself and several other directors and director/owners (as I am); Ms. Laura and these directors were not only supportive to me but offered to be mentors to me. I didn't realize how a good portion of my stress was dependent on me not feeling like I could go to anyone who would understand, more less get ongoing 'real' support. I was always aware of the Resource Center's outreach, guidance and assistance to the various parents who sought their guidance. Funny, but I considered myself as a 'helper' (like the Resource Center) instead of one that needed help. I am so thankful for what Ms. Laura and these directors did (are doing) and can't help but wonder how much they are doing for these parents who come to them for help and the relief they must offer them...if just one meeting made me feel like I could go on. Thank you all!
This is a great place to work. Many staff members, including myself, have learned skills in their jobs and then been able to move up in the organization. The Administration and Leadership practices the same values with their staff as they do for their consumers and program participants. PGCRC supports many families in the community through their programs, partner with other community services, and workshops offered to child care providers.
Though presently a Board Member, my association with the Prince George's Child Resource Center started almost 20 years ago when I mailed my resume and was subsequently hired as a Director at a new on-site child care center. This job lasted 19 years. Being involved with the resource center as a professional in the field and as a Board Member has allowed me the opportunity to experience first hand the efficient & excellent delivery of high quality services to child care providers, directors and early education teachers in Prince George's County. From the monthly directors networking meetings, the Office of ChildCare roundtable disscussions, the advocacy project to staff training [which is second to none in the county] the resource center consistently provides quality events, resources and cutting edge information to educators which in turn enables us to deliver excellent services to the children in our care. The staff are professional, friendly and go over and beyond what is expected of them. I always look forward to visiting the center because it feels like "a home away from home" where my professional needs will be met.
PGCRC is a well run nonprofit that is always striving to improve how it serves its clients and how it operates. In the 10 years I have known the organization, I have observed it strengthen its internal operations, maintain outstanding service in the midst of variable funding, and adopt practices to grow its staff and strengthen its infrastructure. All of the staff are committed to the mission of the organization. I am impressed by the truly diverse population of families it serves. The organization and its leadership are role models for other nonprofits.
This organization delivers high-quality services to a broad array of clients, and has fantastic managment. They are responsive, smart, flexible, and are real leaders of the nonprofit community in the county.

The Child Care Resource Center is an excellent resource to parents and children in the county. They provide so much information, so much service and are always looking for new initiatives to serve county residents in a more comprehensive way. They wrap around the family to provide all kinds of services - food, clothing, enrichment and education for children and parents, car seat safety, health care referrals, assistance with applying for public benefits and so much more. All that they do is amazing and all of the staff are so committed to helping the community!
Prince George's Child Resource Center is an excellent source for information and services to families! In addition, the networking and collaboration opportunities has provided staff with numerous professional development trainings that has produced results where children, families and staff maximize the benefits.
The Prince George's Child Resource Center is one of those public resources that I keep in mind when helping my constituents. Their services connect children and families with those people and opportunities that create strong, healthy, and prosperous households. I could not be more honored to work with them to serve Prince George's County, Maryland, as we all roll up our sleeves to continue moving forward to a better future. Their efforts and investment in our children today will continue to build stronger communities for generations to come.
I've been involved with the Child Resource Center for a few years and fell in love with their mission from the moment I set foot in the door! I take my involvement as a volunteer very seriously, and I only get involved in organizations I believe in and who have set a strong example of leadership and community service. This program demonstrates both. They have a terrific leader who is compassionate about serving the community and engaging and retaining qualified, energetic and equally compassionate staff. Employees don't stay because they have to, they stay because they want to. If I were a client, I wouldn't want to be served by any other provider. Outstanding work!
The Prince George's Child Resource Center offers invaluable training to families and childcare providers. It provides helpful information to families seeking childcare. The staff are all exceptionally knowledgeable. It is a wonderful resource in Prince George's County!
The Prince George's Child Resource Center provides vital services to the families in Prince George's County. Their expertise in providing training to child care providers, educators, and parents are well known throughout the Washington D.C. area. With an outstanding Family Support Center they have offered education and support to thousands of families during the past two decades.
As a public library administrator, I worked collaboratively with the Child Resource Center to coordinate several literacy based programs for young children and their caregivers. My collaboration was ongoing for three years. Each initiative benefitted children and families in the community. The professionalism of the staff and the concern and commitment for children and families is superior. The Child Resource Center staff sought out partnerships and stakeholders in the community that would benefit their clients. Their collaborations always benefitted the children in the community, through their parents and caregivers. They are a tremendous resource for the parents and caregivers of the youngest population and they serve the young children of Prince George's extremely well. Although I no longer work at the library system, I still maintain contact with the Executive Director and plan to provide a financial donation, whenever possible to The Child Resource Center . They are making a difference in the community every day.
The Prince George's Child Resource center is the community hub for child care in Prince George's County. Whether their staff is assisting parents to locate high quality child care for typically developing children, children with special needs or economically disadvantaged families, they help for parents to find the best match. The center is the leading site for child care providers and early education teachers and directors to take training to meet the high standards required by the Maryland State Department of Education. The staff also provide technical support for new providers, anyone caring for children with challenging behaviors and other special needs. Additionally the center holds monthly Director Networking meetings to give professionals in the field an opportunity to meet others and grow professionally. Local organizations, such as the Prince George's Chapter of the Maryland Association for the Education of Young Children, utilize the center to hold community meetings. PGCRC supports a Children's Legislative Event in Annapolis that involves educating early education providers the opportunity to visit their legislators in their Annapolis offices, tour the state house and learn about the legislative process. They have fostered an advocacy program for more than a year, enabling child care providers to find their voice and work for change. This is the absolute best non-profit in Prince George's County!

The Prince George's Resource Center is my number one resource for staff training, networking with colleagues, keeping updated on research and regulations in the field of early childhood education. My families use the resources of Project WIN when children present behaviors that are concerning or challenging. The staff work hard and really care. They go above and beyond the call of duty!
I've been involved with the Child Resource Center since I received my Child Care License. I'm a Family Child Care Provider. I've received a number of services through them, from the classes I needed to maintain my licensing and credential, to services for children/families in my Program. I have first hand seen and received those services as they have helped me modify our environment, train staff, and work with children/parents to resolve issues. There are not words enough to share or express the successes we've had here, in helping children with significant issues, move forward and even enter into Kindergarten with those issues being manageable! I've recently been asked to join the Board of Directors to help provide a "Provider's perspective" and I'm happy to give back to such a great organization!
A fabulous organization to be associated with here in the Washington DC metro area. The staff are committed, capable and do amazing work. I'd recommend the Prince George's Child Resource Center to everyone.

The Prince George's Child Resource Center is an amazing organization. Staff are dedicated to the community and the individuals they serve. They make sure that every interaction with the organization is meaningful and positive. The Board members and management team are also a committed, mission-driven group with whom I am proud to serve. The community is a better place because of the work done by the Prince George's Child Resource Center.
THIS ORGANIZATION IS AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE TO THE CHILD DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY. THEY ALWAYS HAVE THE LATEST INFO ON ANYTHING RELATED TO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IN THE AREA. PERSONALLY THIS ORGANIZATION HAS HELP ME GAIN A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE IN THE AREA OF EARLY CHILDHOOD, THRU WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING. THE PERSONNEL IS ALWAYS HAPPY AND WILLING TO HELP WITH ANYTHING, SPECIALLY JODI AND FRANCINE.
The Prince George's Child Resource Center (PGCRC) provides training and support for child care providers, as well as direct services to families in need through the Family Support and Healthy Families programs. I have always been impressed with the level of dedication and expertise of all PGCRC staff with whom I've had the pleasure of working. In deciding how best to serve their constituents and clients, PGCRC consistently self-reflects and goes above and beyond typical expectations as they provide services. I personally know many families whose lives have been turned around through access to ESL classes and other supports. Also, I know of several child care providers who now feel they have the capacity to provide care for children with special needs because they received training and support from PGCRC. I was most impressed when, due to state and federal cutbacks, the staff decided to take a pay cut rather than cut services. That level of commitment is unraparalleled and should be celebrated. This is one of the few organizations that I support through donations because I know first-hand that the funds will be put to great use. This community benefits daily from the work they do.
Prince George's Child Resource Center saved me. I needed to find childcare services for my toddler and was able to call and find out the information I needed. Not only was the availability and promptness of the information wonderful, but also the accurate. I could not be happier with the selections and options that was available to me. If not for Prince George's Child Resource Center, it helpful and knowledgeable staff, I do not know what I would have done. Thank you Prince George's Child Resource Center!!!
Over the past 5 years we have been familiar with the organization and how they have dramatically made a difference in the quality of many lives in those of need. Price Georges Child Resource Center's impact by working with families and often single parents, are presenting opportunities that would not be ordinary available. Teaching self sufficiency and "Healthy Families" are the core values. Now, the reason i have joined the board, for our executive director and founder, takes our resources extends them with efficiency and professional guidance that i have not seen and is reflected in our financial statement. Thank you for your consideration; Harvey Maisel
The Prince George's Child Resource Center is a unique program that addresses the needs of the community that it serves. The Driector, Danitza Simpson, is always available to meet with community partners. This center provides services to the surrounding Latino community. Many of the participants are new to not only the community but also to the United States. The Resource Center provides comprehensive services to all of its clients. The Center has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere; where new immigrants feel safe to share any problems and/or concerns they may have. I have worked closely with the Resource Center for the last six years and I can attest my first hand knowledge of the superior programs and services that are provider by the Center. I truly cannot think of another non-profit that meets the standards of excellent that the Resource Center provides. Eileen Kaplan
This organization has teacher/caregiver trainings. They have gone outside of their facility to offer worshops and give workshops after hours for working adults.
The Resource Center helps create healthy and nurturing environments for at-risk children by supporting their families and educating their caregivers.
The Child Resource Center is a phenomenal agency who goes above and beyond to serve our community. With limited staff and funding it is absolutely amazing what CRC provides to support the child care community and families with young children. The Mental Health Consultation Program,Project WIN has enabled young children to remain in their child care environment through evaluation, consultation, and training of both the family and the child care provider This is in particularly important as our agency works with young children with developmental delays and or disabilities who can be at risk for expulsion from community programs and childcare settings.
There's no one like PCCCRC in the region! They are a do-it all group for early childhood and a good example of a Child Care Resource Center and a Family Support Center sponsoring agency for the whole state!
With an unmatched caring for humankind and a “yes we can” organizational attitude, Prince George's Child Resource Center is an essential part of the Prince George’s County. This organization is making the kind of difference that not only enhances the quality of life of children and families, but for the entire community. Additionally, they play a critical role in providing training for parents and caregivers throughout the region. As the supervisor of the Before and After School Extended Learning Program for Prince George’s County Public Schools, I have come to depend on their commitment and support with improving the professionalism of our staff and our delivery of quality services. Their advocacy role for better laws and regulations has made the state of Maryland a leader in the childcare profession. This organization is deserving of an “Above and Beyond” award for all that they do to make us better citizens.

I have had the honor to work with this organization for the past five years. I am so impressed with the work that they do on a daily basis to meet the needs of the children and families that they serve. They provide English classes for their parents while providing the young children with an educational learning experience. The Prince George's Child Resource Center provides its participants with classes in health education, nutition, pre-natal classes, and employement preparation. They also provide field trips and seasonal celebrations for their young children and families. The staff of this organization should be commended for their hard work and dedication.
PGCRC is great! I really enjoyed my volunteer work with them. Their staff and training are excellent.
As a former Prince George’s County Councilmember, the PGCRC impressed me when they worked with the existing community of childcare providers to get them certified. Their excellent reputation for training and direct services goes unknown to most of the citizens of the County, but is felt by those who daily drop their little ones off at a daycare facility. I have worked with the staff of the Prince George's Child Resource Center since its inception. They are caring and committed to the agency's mission. The trainings offered are exceptional, covering a variety of topics pertinent to childcare and parenting. I have always been impressed with the Resource Center's willingness to work with and collaborate with other organizations. They have an outstanding reputation within Prince George's County and it is well deserved.
The staff members are curteous, compassionate and friendly. They strive for excellence in all that they do. Their services that they provide are for childcare providers and parents in the community. They provide excellent workshops and training venues for childcare providers and referrals for parents such as special needs and English Language Learners. I have never been disappointed with anything they have done. It is a pleasure seeing them as advocates for their members and the children of our community.
