Mission: The organization's mission is to: (1) improve student learning, (2) increase the choice of learning opportunities, (3) create professional opportunities that will attract new teachers to the public school system, and (4) encourage different and innovative learning methods.
Programs: Basic educational services: the purpose of offering basic educational services is to provide the foundation, education and instruction for students in grades pk through 12, as prescribed by law by the state of texas. Basic educational services also include the functions to evaluate, place and provide educational service to students in honors, college preparatory and advanced placement courses.
improving basic services: the purpose of the improvement program is to help poor or disadvantaged children and consistently provide that all children have the opportunity to meet challenging texas state academic standards. A key objective is that the performance of economically disadvanted students will improve substantially in reading and methematics. Furthermore, another goal of the program is to develop different and innovative learning methods and use them to assist improvement efforts in other schools.
special education services (services to students with disabilities): the purpose of the special education services is to evaluate, place and provide education and/or other services to students who have individual education plans (iep) approved by admission, review and dismissal (ard) committees. These plans are based on students' disabilities and/or learning needs. The intended outcome for each child is that he or she will be provided an education that prepares him or her for further education, employment and independent living.
