Mission: The mission of hatchery arts is to spread an appreciation for the performing arts through our local community in los angeles. Hatchery arts is responsible for producing the hollywood fringe festival, the largest performing arts festival west of the mississippi river. The festival is "open access", meaning any who register may perform with no risk of censorship. 100% of all revenue from tickets sold is reimbursed to the artists. In 2015, hatchery arts hosted over 300 shows from around the world in southern california. Hatchery arts also produced projects aimed at developing and sustaining appreciation for the arts amongst students through our family fringe program.
Programs: In 2018, hatchery arts hosted the largest festival to-date (our ninth annual hollywood fringe festival) with almost 400 shows and 2,000 performances in dozens of independent venues in hollywood, ca. A record sum was returned to artists through our ticketing program. Dozens of local business participated in our "hot spot" service in an effort to drive patronage to the local community. We were featured in hundreds of articles in local/national/international papers and blogs. We received donations of services from clear channel, tickets today, kcrw, and many other local and national businesses. Almost 2,000 artists participated in the 2018 hollywood fringe festival.
