Programs: The child advocacy center is a place for abused children and their non-offending families to receive child forensic interviews, trauma-focused treatment, medical services, victim advocacy, family advocacy, multidisciplinary case review, and case tracking in one physical location. The child advocacy center served 798 children and 525 of their non-offender parents.
richmond court appointed special advocates provides child advocacy services to abused and neglected children referred by the richmond juvenile and domestic relations court judges. Casa accomplishes this by assigning carefully recruited, trained and supervised community volunteers to work "one-on-one" with abused and neglected children and their families. Approximately 217 children were served by volunteers.
the circle preschool program opened in february 2011. This program provides early childhood education and mental health treatment services to children who have experienced trauma. The program served 17 children and 17 caregiviers.
