I was more than excited to get my civil rights restored but nothing compared to being able to vote for the first time in over 38 years. I had given up on being able to be a full citizen but I contacted NLT and everything was done in a matter of about 2 weeks. I'm forever grateful.
I’ve been volunteering with NoLeft Turns for over a year. They really do care about people and will do anything to help. I don’t have nothing but good to say about them all.
We love our volunteers and graciously thank you for helping out!
I always get good help from Nolef Turns. I recommend them to anyone.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve!
I love the people doing the work, they really take the time to listen and help me where they could.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you!
No one else would help. My family needed a second chance and I went to a few places that wanted me to wait 7 yrs to get a job or get paid$7.25. That don't take care of the bills and I'm not scared of hard work, I just wanted something that we could survive off of. I made mistakes but I don't deserve to pay for them forever. It was a blessing to find a group of folks who understood what I been thru
Wow, we’re happy to help where we can!
What can I say. I was frustrated with trying to get some help. I couldn’t find a job but Nolefturns was able to help and it didn’t take long. They had me do an intake form and asked what skills I had and pointed me in the right direction.
Thank you for allowing us to help you! That's what we were built on, getting people back to work.
I can always count on getting the help I need, no matter what my issue is. I got the help I needed to get my drivers license reinstated after DMV said I wasn’t eligible. Running back and forth was exhausting and I almost gave up but I got it! Thankful
So glad to hear that! Thank you for sharing.
I was referred to this org from a freind who was lcoked up with me. I needed all kinds of help and they worked wih me to find a job and got my voting rights back. I'm working on finding a permanent place to live now but I'm forever grateful for Noleft turns and the people who help out.
Thank you for the opportunity to help!
When I came home from prison, I didn't know what to do. They helped me do my resume and got me hooked up with a job. All I needed was a chance
It was our pleasure and congratulations on all your accomplishments. Thank you for being patient through the process!
They helped me to get my voting rights back and I'm eternally grateful!
This isn't just our job; it's our duty! Thank you.
Always a good experience. They're a hard working and dedicated few who really care about folk.
Thank you for sharing!
The ladies who work at this nonprofit are the best. I absolutely love how they help the community and people who are really down on their luck. I went in for an intake interview feeling down and they treated me like a human being without judging me. I couldn't remember the last time someone had looked at me like I was worthy of praise. They helped me to get a job and find stable housing. Now, I'm looking to start my own business so I can help others. I highly recommend Nolef Turns. They're fighting for some changes in our criminal justice system.
There are gentlemen as well, but thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you were able to turn things around.
I love ghe work they do in Richmond. There aren't too many places that help individuals with barriers to employment and especially housing. I know it's difficult being a grassroots organization but they make the impossible possible with little resources and help. Hats off to Noleft Turns. We need more people like this.
Thank you for your kind words!
Helpful and passionate, I recommend using them. They really care about little folk
I found this organization via 211 Virginia and was really impressed with the way the young lady treated me. she took the time to find the info I needed be cause i wasn't having any luck. She helped me with a few personal items and job resources. Even though I haven't found steady employment yet, they keep me hopeful.
Thank you for allowing us to help! Don't give up hope.
I’ve volunteered with plenty of organizations but grassroots efforts are dear to me. At NLT, I was amazed at the passion all of the volunteers had. We were treated respectfully and I definitely will be going back for mentoring.
Thank you for helping out! YOU are greatly appreciated and necessary to keep us going.
I started working with Nolef Turns last year after being charged with a felony. I was able to get help with some things for court that allowed me to avoid being convicted. I completed some community service hours and my charge was dismissed. I learned so much during the times I helped out and the people who work for Nolef Turns really are passionate about helping people. I'm glad to help out anytime I can.
Thank you for your story. We really appreciate you.
I work for Social Services and needed help with helping a client with resources for housing. It took a while but they really took the time to find something suitable. They do great work for others.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve
I love this organization. They were willing to help me out when a lot of places shut doors on me. Grateful
Thank you for allowing us to serve you during your (and our) transition.
Always willing to help whenever I call, I love this group. They are doing some good work in the community.
We're happy to help. Our community needs people who are willing to forgive and allow a person to grow.
This non profit is amazing! Ms. Williams has been through just about everything I've went through and she's helped me out so much! I recommend that if you have a background come here cause they will help you!
Thank you for your kind words. Our personal experiences were the reason we started this journey. Stay positive!
I'd recommend this organization to anyone looking to find resources who have a felony conviction. They helped me out a lot.
Glad to have helped!
It's helping those who are judged on a crimson background gain their lives back . Not only are the participants getting jobs back , there gaining the rights again . It's very hard for someone of a criminal background to adjust to the world again but this nonprofit definitely helps others . This non profit is an opportunity to change someone's life . Nonprofits also put young professionals in touch with influential executives who work on their boards, as well as donors and sponsors, government officials and social activistsThey could improve with better advertising so others can find this .
Thank you for your comments. We're working on spreading the word!
