Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: The chamber's mission is to improve the economic development of our business entrepreneurs and the communities for which we serve. The chamber serves as the cornerstone for educational training, resources and economic growth opportunities.
Programs: The chamber is focused on facilitating the economic growth of the greater phoenix business community by providing access to business resources and opportunities that add value through five pillars of service. 1) advocacy - the chamber fights for legislation that promotes small business growth, particularly policies that address the challenges of black business owners. 2) access to capital - capital access remains the most important factor limiting the establishment, expansion and growth of black-owned businesses. 3) contracting - our goal is to level the playing field by helping members gain access to business opportunites in private and public sectors. 4) entrepreneur training - the chamber is committed to helping black business leaders achieve stellar performance and growth through entrepreneur and business management training. 5) business development - the growth and development of chamber members, businesses and individuals is a core focus.
annual awards banquet - once a year we celebrate the success of the chamber in the community as well as highlight one corporation and one small business of the year. Awardees both past, present and in the future are true representatives of the mission of the chamber. They encompass the value of inclusion and working together for the greater good.
monthly networking activities - once a month chamber members and community guests gather to network amongst one another, as well as gain insightful information pertaining to the success of their business and our community as a whole.
leadership summits - these one day conferences focus on educating small business owners on how to become business ready: corporate employees on how to leverage one's skills to climb the corporate ladder; developing mentorship's with those under and over 40 in preparation to pass the torch; informing everyone about the latest public policy issues facing the valley and state; and most importantly presenting new business and investment opportunities to take advantage of.
