Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Human Services, Sports, Sports Associations & Training Facilities

Mission: Golden Gate was incorporated in 1952 as a settlement house for immigrants and is now the only comprehensive community center in a vastly under-served area. A dedicated, professional staff serves the community in a 22,000 square foot facility, including a gym and specialized program areas. We are a safe haven for children and adults in a very rough area. Many of our clients are newcomers to the U.S. and appreciate our help in becoming acclimated to a new life and culture. Our mission is to provide programs and services that improve the quality of life for children and families in west central Phoenix neighborhoods.
