Mission: The mission of the gene slay's boys club of st. Louis is to enable boys in the st. Louis metropolitan area, especially those who need us most, to realize their physical, intellectual and emotional potential.
Programs: Athletics, recreation, aquatics, character and healthy lifestyles - with over seven acres of athletic fields, a gymnasium, and an olympic-size swimming pool, along with a proven track record of athletic success, gene slay's boys' club is a great place for kids to discover and nurture their inner athlete. Recreation and athletic programs are designed to encourage practice, teamwork, healthy sportsmanship attitudes, physical growth, the development of fundamental skills, and a basic knowledge of the rules of the games. Gene slay's boys' club is also committed to helping youth make healthier choices for a lifetime. Focus areas include obesity prevention through nutrition and increased physical activity, conflict resolution, and safety. Gene slay's boys' club works to make the healthy choice the easy choice. Finally, the club offers programs that empower youth to become leaders, sustain meaningful relationships, develop a positive self-image, participate in the democratic process, and respect their own and other cultural identities. These programs enable youth to become good students, apply learning to everyday situations, and embrace technology to help them get and keep a job. Classes are held once a week throughout the school year: teen job readiness, financial literacy, character counts, and the power of choice.
