I am a volunteer at this organization. I see them constantly working to find programs and resources that will be helpful to the members. Every program they offer is free of charge. Every year, they hold a Celebration of Life to honor loved ones in Heaven.
I don't know how I found From Grief to Hope, but I'm so glad I did! Outstanding resources, support groups that discuss profound topics that are complex and meaningful, offering guidance and tools for navigating the grief journey. Something for everyone. Mental health still carries with it such a stigma, especially for men, so this organization plays a vital role in breaking that stigma and truly delivers on its mission. The founder and counselors know grief intimately themselves, which takes grief support to a high level of knowledge and empathy.
It’s helping me with my grief. I love this group, there are very understanding and don’t judge, they only try to help you.
This is an amazing, thoughtful, and caring nonprofit. Estrella herself is truly an angel helping those of us who have angels surrounding us and in heaven. I cannot even express how grateful I am to have this resource. It is something to look forward to, with like minded people who truly understand the depths of grief with compassion and empathy. Together we weather the bad days, help each other climb out of the that slippery rabbit hole. We laugh, share stories of our loved ones and provide personal ways we all cope with our losses. Estrella and Susan make sure that we do not get lost in the grief and truly feel the hope. Estrella is always finding unique and very specialized ways to feel the love, through little gifts, ceremonies, guest speakers and honestly, just being there. From the bottom of my my broken heart, Estrella provides some SUPER glue filled with love and guidance. Thank you so much to this nonprofit. Love and light, always and forever! From the very blessed mother of Pickle aka Dominique Jasmine.
During a time when you’re overwhelmed with grief, finding From Grief to Hope was the missing link to set me on a path to healing. Prior to that is was literally experiencing uncontrollable crying and sadness. Turns out I wasn’t alone. More importantly I’m still not alone in my grief journey.
Very caring group so much information available for those grieving. The group has some really helpful zoom meetings with grief experts, mediums and members just needing someone to talk to. Estrella is a very knowledgeable kind person who is always there to listen. I recommend this group for anyone who wants to learn about the after life and share their experience with others who understand.
I have been a member of this non profit since its inception and I know that this group and its members have been the most helpful to me during my grief journey. My 29 year old daughter passed away 6 years ago and this group has helped me to feel not alone, but connected with others who understand. I especially resonate with the relatively small size of the group…feeling a closeness to others who are so understanding and available. This group realizes that everyone grieves differently and accepts all religions and beliefs. I feel members of this group are truly dedicated to helping others and much time is spent by the administration to make sure everyone has access to learning materials, relevant guest speakers, etc. to help us all to process our grief and find hope in this life-time journey of healing.

My daughter passed away suddenly 5 years ago, at age 29. I knew I needed help to guide me through this new and devastating experience. I did not find Individual therapy to be very beneficial for me. I was so fortunate to find this group, filled with such caring individuals who have had similar experiences of losing a dear loved one. I joined the group at it’s inception and have grown along with it. There are other grief groups, some more well known, but I so prefer “From Grief to Hope”, with it’s smaller size and emphasis on support and hope. I know this is a place I can always find a listening ear, encouragement and love. I have made friendships to last a lifetime as well as a knowing that I am not alone on this journey of healing. There are periodic guest speakers on various topics related to grief, ways to navigate through our pain, and avenues for a hopeful future. I especially like the personal feeling when our loved ones are honored within the group on the dates of their passing and birthdays. I feel encouraged and very comfortable sharing within this group and offering support to others.
I have found a lot of healing from this group! They have workshops (all online), medium readings, Q&A’s with top professionals in regards to grief and healing, there are meetups in person as well. They have all types of online groups that have Facebook live or zoom meetings and I’m honored to be apart of them! Everyone is accepting and understanding and willing to help, share, and guide with judgement or prejudice!!
We are all on our own journey! No one story is the same!!
We matter! Our grief journey does not end it evolves!!
We welcome all! Hope you find your place to call yours!!
This step was the best thing I could have done for my grief!

I was basically a sticky pile of goo the first year following my husbands sudden passing. Estrella became my grief mentor. She picked me up and dusted me off so that I could be of help to others. That’s what the journey of grief is all about. Love my sisters & brothers who grieve along side me every day.
This organization is very near and dear to me as my brother at the age of 66 passed, leaving me the only one left in the family. FRGTH offers peace, comfort, compassion, and closure. They are great!
I found From Grief to Hope when we unexpectedly lost our daughter in 2020. It is very helpful to know others are going through similar situations. They offer a lot of services and also post in remembrance of our daughter on her angelversary. Thank you for all you do!
From Grief to Hope is an amazing group of members who have suffered loss in their lives. We are on a journey through grief and having the support of such a amazing group really helps. I lost my son by suicide in 2018. Three years later in 2021, I lost my second son, also by suicide. I am beyond devastated! Through this group I have been loved and supported. I realize grief, great loss and suffering is a season of our life we cannot go around, we must go through the grief. My sons would not want for me to live the rest of my life in deep sadness and sorrow. They each made a terrible decision to take their own lives and I cannot blame myself because I did the very best I could for them! I am trying to look for the positives in each day and know that one day I will be happy again and smile. I will never forget my sons and will forever love and miss them each and everyday. Thank you From Grief to Hope for your love and support. Mother of Christopher, forever 31 and Stephen, forever 36
From Grief to Hope is a warm, welcoming community of people who support each other on their journey through grief. Led by its founder, Estrella Alvarez Tinch, there are no limits on the love and compassion with which each member is welcomed. I highly recommend this network of souls to anyone on their path through loss.
I absolutely love this nonprofit. It is from the heart for the heart. I look forward to chatting with the members, hearing our ups and downs, supporting each other. At times, life gets so busy but this is the one group I make time for. The founder, Estrella, is an example of a most beautiful soul, both inside and out. I adore her and am so thankful she has come into my life. Losing those we love so much just breaks us open. Estrella provides a bit of glue and a lot of love to help deal with that bottomless chasm of heartache.

I love this wonderful group! It has been a tremendous support in my healing journey. The grief of the passing of my beautiful daughter, over 5 years ago, was something that I couldn’t have imagined previously . I’m just so very grateful for the love and support of this amazing group ♥️ Thank you, Pam
Living in the aftermath of losing my only child to suicide is extremely challenging. It’s a time when tender loving care and support is needed more than ever to keep a parent getting from one day to the next and the administrators of this community rise to that occasion. They were the only group I am involved in who remembered my son and myself on the anniversary of my son’s death. They didn’t ask me for money, they didn’t ask me to volunteer they just cared. This has not been my experience anywhere else in my grief journey.
Caring organization that has given me hope and healing after the death if my son. All services received were free.
