I would like to take this opportunity to thank Freedom in Recovery for providing a safe and welcoming environment for the 12-step meetings I attend at Freedom Hall. Several years ago I was a resident at a nearby halfway house and began attending meetings there due to its proximity to my residence. I have since moved away from the area, but I continue to attend meetings and continue my involvement at Freedom Hall because of my deep affection for, and my gratitude to the people there. My life and my sobriety today has been greatly enriched thanks to my friends in recovery at Freedom Hall.
Again, thank you Freedom in Recovery!

I have been attending meetings at Freedom Hall for about 7 years. It fills a great need for me. I previously attended meetings in downtown Phoenix at the Arid Club, which tragically burned down after many years. Freedom Hall is in a midtown location, which means that I can attend meetings around my work schedule. There are halfway houses in the area whose residents require a lot of recovery support. At Freedom Hall, these newcomers can connect with oldtimers like myself who need to carry the message to fellow alcoholics to insure our sobriety. I am very grateful for this meeting place and don't know what I'd do without it.
FIRI offered me a chance to be free of alcohol, which I thought was impossible for me. I first came to Freedom Hall in 1994. I had never heard of AA before. This hall has always been there for me, especially when I need it ( just about everyday). This corporation has given me a fellowship of sobriety, many friends, and a new perspective on life. For many years I drank on a daily basis and realized I could not quit drinking. Today my life is totally different and I am grateful for this hall. I hope it will always be here for me and many others.
