I have been associated with the Phoenix Rescue Mission and Hope for Hunger Food Bank for about 13 years as a volunteer. Their mission and accomplishments are second to none being Christ centered. At the men's campus I witnessed lives transformed from addiction and homelessness to men with a purpose and lives on based on a solid faith in Christ. Much credit goes to the well grounded teaching/mentoring staff. The Hope for Hunger Food Bank is equally well managed by Mr. Gary Rowlett who works tirelessly to arrange food deliveries, and delegates volunteers where best to serve the many needy families every day. What is inspiring also is that Mr. Rowlett starts each morning by sharing an inspiring thought and then having one of the volunteers offer a prayer for God's blessing for the day. It is a real blessing to be associated with both the Phoenix Rescue Mission and the Hope for Hunger Food Banks. Sincerely, Louis Green
I entered the PHX PRM{ was left outside) in nov 2013.i left the PRM in july 2017. I was a heavy drug/alcoholic for 26 years..

I implore anyone who wants a different path to send a heartfelt prayer to GOD and get in this wonderful place.i will also suggest that you should be transparent abot all and recieve the help that is waiting for you..

My family, church group, glass club and friends have participated in the Phoenix Rescue Mission for years. The work they do for the community as well as the people who need their services is impressive. I am a mentor at Changing Lives Center which is part of the Mission and can personally vow for the wonderful services they provide for those women and sometimes their children to sister in a new start. The outreach they provide to those in need is definitely God’s work.
Started as a client and needed to get involved with volunteering at Phoenix Rescue Mission Hope for Hunger food bank. The staff and volunteers are so caring and work together well. I enjoy our morning devotion before our starting shift. There is hope for all that are in need.
I am impressed with the Changing Lives Center for women and children. Their comprehensive, structured, loving program is a model for the industry. The staff is fully committed to their calling to help the ladies and their children heal and have victory. I enjoy going on campus and working with the children. It is a blessing!
I have been volunteering at the Phoenix Rescue Mission food bank for 2+ years now. The management there is wonderful, and they are very organized. You always leave feeling you have made a difference.
I have been a volunteer for last 5 years or so with Phoenix Rescue Mission. Initially, I would volunteer once or twice a month serving breakfast at the Men's Center. After a year of 2 of that I volunteered at the Women's Center serving dinner and also volunteering during the holiday season making cookies, which they sold.
For the past 2-3 years, I have volunteered at PRM Foodbank.
Every experience has been wonderful. At the Men's and Women's Centers every one of the staff and residents were very helpful and appreciated our volunteering.
The foodbank has been an even of rewarding experience because you are helping to feed less fortunate families plus you get to meet and interact with many residents in the Men's Center.
If you are looking for a place to volunteer and help others Pheonix Rescue Mission is the place to be.
Everything the Phoenix Rescue Mission touches is done with excellence. This includes their Men's recovery program, the Women's & Children's CLC center, Hope for Hunger Food Bank, Glendales Works and the Hope Coach. Hope for Hunger helps up to 900 families every week with fresh produce, dairy, meats and other items of excellent quality. The Volunteer opportunites are engaging and relevant and offer real chances to help others in the community.
I have been at the Food for Hunger Food Bank approx. 5 times since my retirement and plan to continue volunteering as much as possible. I think it's a wonderful blessing to be able to help whenever possible.
Thanks for the opportunity.
The Phoenix Rescue Mission is a great organization to serve with. I love how focused they are on spreading the message of Christ. The Hope for Hunger Food Bank is a fantastic place to serve. I really love serving alongside others who truly are passionate about helping out our neighbors in need.

The rooms and amenities are very nice compared to other places like this that don't chargeyour r insurance co. $30k-80k as the so called luxury places like this charge. They don't practice what they STRONGLY PREACHED & try to brain wash you that God is you answer yo EVERYTHING, I.E. THEY TRY TO BRAINWASH EVERYONE THAT GOD WILL MAGICALLY GIVE U A CAR, HOUSE, ANYTHING U WANT. IF YOU HAD YOUR CHILD MURDERED THEY WILL TELL U TO PRAY FOR THE MURDERER & PRAYER 4 THEM! THEY WILL HAVE U SIGN UP FOR FOOD STAMPS & THEN FRAUDENTLY TAKE ALL OF YOUR FOOD STAMPS, WHICH IS A FED OFFENSE TO USE ANOTHER PERSONS FOOD STAMPS! THEY WILL LUE ON WRITTEN FORMS THAT U TESTED POSITIVE FOR A DRUG WHEN U SAW FOR YOURSELF YOUR DRUG TESTS WERE ALL NEG & U NEVER TOOK DRUGS, EVER! APPARENTLY THEY GET MORE MONEY FOR CLIENTS IF THEY LIE RE DRUG TESTS! THEY ADVERTISE THEY ARE FOR TRAUMA VICTIMS THATS ANOTHER LIE, THEIR 1 YR PROGRAM IS FOR ADDICTION, ALL THE CLASSES ARE ABOUT ADDICTION! THERE'S 4.5 HRS MON THRU FRI. OF BIBLE STUDY! YOUR PHONE IS TAKEN AWAY FOR 1 YR! IF U SAY 1 THING THAT UR NOT AN ADDICT UR HERE FOR DONESTIC VIOLENCE AND TRAUMA, THEY WILL KICK YOU OUT INTO THE STREET IMMEDIATELY! PRM IS A BRAINWASHING CULT LIKE PLACE! THROWING AN ABUSED EOMAN INTO THE STREET & FRAUDENTLY TAKING USING UR EBT IS FAR FROM THE JESUS PRINCIPLES THEY PREACH!!
I have served at all three locations while doing my undergraduate studies and I really enjoyed myself . I was blessed in so many ways and will definitely volunteer again
