I've volunteered my time to take part in a FASGI video project designed to encourage Filipinos to vote in the elections. I've seen first hand how the passion those in the organization, particularly executive director Susan Dilkes, serves a greater purpose for the Filipino - American community. FASGI support individuals in many ways and creates a stronger community, that ultimately, it is a benefit to all. I've experienced so much camaraderie during the video project, and I was encouraged to make a difference and vote. I've donated my old computer, furniture, household items to them and it gave me great joy to know that veterans housed at FASGI were able to make use of something I no longer needed. I'm grateful to have given what I can and see how much just doing my little part has gone a long way for FASGI.
