This non profit in my opinion is changing the world of charity. By acting as a charity for charities the dream builders project is able to facilitate more events and more impact in a much more efficient manner then ever previously accomplished. Dollar for dollar they invest 100% of all proceeds and donation directly to all their causes. Their leadership is outstanding, with a staff so gifted and skilled, led by CEO and founder Mayer Dahan, who's ability and hard work are what seemingly have a made this nonprofit into the juggernaut it is today. They are supporters of dozens of nonprofits including kids in distress situations, Habitat for Humanity, lupus LA, Los Angeles Children's Hospital and many many more receiving benefits like grants and full-scale galas to facilitate their growth and progress. The Dreambuilders project is currently supporting the homeless community, young students in need, orphanages throughout the nation and outside this country, and abused and neglected children all over the US, human trafficking and many more. I began my involvement with the Dream Builders Project back in 2018 as the emcee for their gala, the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. It was an incredible experience working with the team and getting to know Mayer his story and all the things he's overcome.
I've worked with many charities over the years, but this one definitely is different. Many charities that the Dream Builders Project connects with aligns with all of my values. A couple of years later Mayer asked me to be a part of his board, to which I humbly accepted and was able to raise funds for the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
It was a transformative experience. One that I've invited many others to take part in. I'm a true believer that the more you give, the more you create the capacity to receive the abundance the world has to offer. It is my belief that Dream Builders Project is something that you
should take part in at least once in your lifetime. The Joy, pleasure and happiness we get to bring to the children and families we support are some of the greatest feelings on earth!
Was a beautiful experience volunteering, Mayer and crew have a real passion that made feel double blessed to be there. ... for the good deed and a blessing to get to know good people like Mayer
I volunteered with this organization this year for the first time. The work that they’re doing to give back is very impactful and I had a great time getting to know like-minded people.
I have worked with this organization for a few years. I have volunteered at many of their events, and it’s great to spend hands on time making a difference in our community.
To Whom it may concern,
My name is Tracy Resendiz, I am 54, I am a homeless college student with Covid. Before Covid shut the County of Ventura down, I also owned a business with 50 employees. Now, now I am living, if that is what you could call it, out of my car.I feel through all the cracks of the so-called funding that was out there for Covid, I did not receive any funding from our government, I am a taxpayer. I am mad, I am beyond frustrated, I do not have money, I am sick. I am also tired, very tired of asking for help. I am tired of being told to call 211 that they have help for the homeless. I am tired of being classified as homeless. I was quarantined for 10 days (about 1 and a half weeks) and the public health department had paid for that. After the ten days I was told to leave I was better. How am I better when the test results still come back positive? How am I better when I am still running fever, tell me? How am I better when I am still coughing up blood? I am not better! I cannot find the words to explain how I feel. Disappointed does not begin to describe how I feel. I am beside myself. I have called everyone in the county of Ventura to just be put aside and not herd. I have called everyone from COC to the homeless network to 211. There is no help there. I jumped threw the hoops for The Whole person care organization. I did everything I was told to do, they promised there were motel vouchers that would house me until the beginning of January. Joe Ann Hernandez, lied. I asked for help from Joe Eckles, from the turning point foundation, he had promised to help with 3 months of rent. After a month's tie .He lied I was put out when he only paid one month. He said it was due to me not turning in paperwork. Once again, he lied. I turned in all the paperwork. I applied for housing is key funding no help as of, yet I was put out of the house. Where is all the funding? I want to know where my tax dollars are going. I want to know what state officials are are doing to help the citizens of Ventura County. I want a place to call home again. I deserve that I have worked and paid taxes. Now I am sick, broke and still trying to overcome homelessness and covid. Someone needs to listen to me. I need help! I do not want another phone number. I do not want another empty promise. I am someone's mother, I am someone's daughter, I am a grandmother. I am out here in the streets alone without gas, without a home, without clean cloths, I am sick and tired. I work! Dam it! But I can't right now because I am still sic. Do you want to know what I was told by someone at 211 I was told it was probably better I had a car to stay in so I would not infect anyone. What about when I need to use the restroom? Is anyone listening? God forbid if one day you should have to go through what I have been going through. It is a dam shame that this letter should even need to be written. I need help. I need someone to HELP me.
MY UNEMPLOYMENT RAN OUT, I NEED SOME FUNDING TO PAY FOR THE MOTEL I AM IN UNTIL JANUARY 2022. SO, I CAN GET BACK ON MY FEET AND I WONT NEED ANYONE OR ANYMORE HELP. THE WEEKLY RENT HERE IS 450.00 A WEEK. WHAT ARE ALL THESE EHG AND SNAPS VOUCHERS FOR WHO IS USING THEM? OR IS THE COUNTY OF VENTURA STILL SITTING ON ALL OF THE FUNDING WE NEED?
I do not want an email back with another phone number from an office that could care less about the homeless people here in Ventura County. I do not want an email back with empty promises. I do not want an email back with an appointment that is going to end up nowhere. I want help. I need help by next Thursday or I will be staying in my car again with Covid.
I also forgot to mention I am suppose to start a job in 10 days
This nonprofit plays a big part in making LA a better place. The employees are hard workers who aim to help others in many different ways. It is wonderful to see mothers, fathers, and children smiling because of The Dream Builders Project’s mission.
I have been a volunteer with the Dream Builders Project Los Angeles for four years. In that time I have seen how much they have done for the community and especially children’s Hospital.
I like participating in the care package events in west Hollywood and also the back to school events. Dream Builders makes so many people in the community so happy.
The Dream Builders Project has really worked hard to make a difference for the students that we serve at After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles.
Their team is not only involved, but actually interested and enjoy giving back.
Our students who have the greatest of need and the fewest of resources have been able to receive donation items that include new school supplies as well as holiday gifts and fun experiences to help lift their spirits over the years.
Thank you Dream Builders Project for your care of our youth in Los Angeles. Thank you for making a difference!
The Dream Builders is my favorite nonprofit to support!! Such an amazing cause and an amazing team!!
I have been working with dream builders for a number of years now. They do many different events throughout the year including back to school and homeless care packages. It is a well organized and well run nonprofit. I have enjoyed seeing the children’s faces at the back to school event and the number of people who participate grows every year. The care packages is a very inspiring event also where they go out and help the community. I look forward to working with them in the coming years!
This is an amazing nonprofit that's mission is to not only help people in need but to support other foundations with this same goal!
I helped The Dream Builder Project during their Gala and it was such an amazing event! Sophie is incredibly kind and she is very organized! I hope to continue working with them as a volunteer!
DBPLA is an incredible organization!! Mayer and Sophie are so kind, knowledgeable, caring and friendly. I’m so grateful to be a part of this organization!!
Love this organization!! All the staff members (especially Sophie) are so welcoming and kind. the altruistic coordinators and volunteers are what makes this non-profit special. They will do absolutely anything to make every person, regardless of age, feel like a part of the cause. I will definitely be attending future events!
Dream Builders are truly focused on what matters and have a passion for giving back. Thank you for all you do!
The Dream Builders Project is a wonderful organization that prioritizes taking care of the community. Keep up the great work!
Working for the Dream Builders Project was a really amazing experience. You can tell that they genuinely care about the people they work for and that they are very passionate about the causes they support. If you ever have the opportunity to volunteer with them please take advantage, you won’t regret it!
The people at Dream Builders are a dedicated group. Their goal is to help the helpers, which is a lovely idea.
The Dream Builders Project focuses on the needs of truly helping people. Mayer and Sophie Dahan are compassionate souls and use innovative strategies to increase awareness through their social campaigns.
They continue to raise the bar, increase funds for nonprofit organizations and create memorable events where everyone is able to give back to those less fortunate.
I’ve witnessed The Dream Builders Project change the lives of so many people and inspire others through their dedication to lessening the impacts of major local issues. Their Care Packages for the Homeless and Back to School Supply Drives provide support to the homeless communities of LA and LA schools facing disparities within the education system. I’m so honored to be apart of such a dedicated and inspiring organization that genuinely makes a difference in the community!
THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE CHARITY THAT TRULY PUTS EVERY OUNCE OF WHO THEY ARE TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE. I AM A VOLUNTEER AND ANNUAL DONOR.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT ORGANIZATION TO GET INVOLVED WITH - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE DREAM BUILDERS PROJECT!
Patient, Children's Hospital Los Angeles Honoree
I interned for this organization last summer and the Dream Builders are truly an amazing group of people! They worked non stop in order to exceed the limits for their Charity Gala and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to be apart of it.
Dream Builder's Project really focuses on helping smaller charities that don't get as much notice/representation and/or funding and I think that's really great. They are able to reach out to every part of Los Angeles locally and to every one that's doing something important no matter how small and help build their dream a little bit bigger!
I have volunteered with my family for this organization. The care package event was so much fun and a great way for my kids to get involved. It's been difficult for me to find a nonprofit to get my children involved in (ages 5 & 7) and I have happy to get them working hands on for a quick event giving back to our community!
An amazing organization!! I have participated in their Care Package Events for the homeless and more recently I was at their Back to School event. Every member of the organization is so involved and eager to help. Not to mention the events are so much fun!!!
I truly believe The Dream Builders Project is one of the best nonprofit organizations out there. Since they deal with a wide variety of causes both in LA and around the world, they are an ideal organization to get involved with. With an amazing staff of volunteers at its core, DBPLA helps improve their community every day.
Highly relevant to its community, The DBP helps other organizations and nonprofits forward their different advocacies by maximizing reach and impact through events and partnerships. It has been awesome being part of the team!
Interning with The Dream Builders Project has been one of my most worthwhile experiences so far. I have been with The DBP team for almost a year and I have learned so much about myself and gained an abundance of experience. Being a college grad I needed an organization that will give me the tools and self confidence to become successful in my future endeavors. Here at The DBP we are more than just a "charity for charities" but we believe and actually make a difference in our communities! The team I work with is very passionate and hardworking and love what we do here. We are just beginning and excited for the opportunities that will come our way.
I volunteer with The Dream Builders Project, and I see how impactful they are with the many causes they support! The entire staff is very passionate about helping others and is very dedicated to what they do.
I volunteered for the first time for this non-profit at their Care Package event for the homeless, and then again at their Back to School event. Both experiences left me feeling like I first handedly made a positive impact on my community.
The Dream Builders Project channels their efforts directly into the Los Angeles community, and gives those that live in the community a chance to do the same. Thanks Dream Builders!!
This amazing organization is not bound to a single cause, and helps improve the community in any way they can! The staff members are super passionate and dedicated to what they do.
It is awesome see a charity raising awareness for so many causes! I can't wait for their next event!
The DBP is an amazingly versatile organization that has positively impacted both its volunteers and the groups they help! Every event I have attended has been professional, well-organized, and fun! The DBP's commitment to giving back to the community is so inspiring and they make it easy to get involved.
This place has great potential but has a hard time following through and producing real change, I'm not sure how they choose their causes but they have way too much going on for the small staff to handle. Honestly feels more like it exists to benefit the company that owns it, probably tax wise and for a good overall corporate image, not to mention the CEO really tries to sell you on how good of a person he is (when nobody's asking) and it all just feels so.. shady? Not sure how it has so many great reviews.
Mayer and his team are truly dedicated to their work at DBPLA. Serving the community is truly their mission and it shows- DBP makes such a positive impact on everyone they serve. A great charity!
The Dream Builders Project is an amazing organization and I am so thankful to be apart of their success. DBP is passionate about helping the community, giving back to others and inspiring others to do the same. Being apart of DBP has changed my life personally and professionally and I look forward to the many, many years of their success! Keep up the great work!
The Dream Builders Project is one of the most impactful charities I have had the pleasure of working with. There are countless ways in which DBPLA is making a difference -
*The "Flash Mobs" that help the homeless and supply children in need with school supplies
*Volunteering at orphanages in Tijuana and helping to build houses for those in need
*The amazing "A Brighter Future for Children Gala" to benefit The Audrey Hepburn C.A.R.E.S. Center at Childrens Hospital Los Angles
*The campaign to end Human Trafficking and Sex Slavery.
The Dream Builders Project works tirelessly to better our community, help those in need, and change the world. I am honored and proud to be affiliated with such an amazing organization.
I came for the poker tournament beginning of March for the first time. On top of having a great time, I found the videos and brochures on the dream builder project very well done and very informative. The organization of the event was a perfect mix of making people aware of nowadays challenges and a well organized, fun event... Big thanks to everyone involved for putting up such an event and everything they do throughout the year
Everything about this charity feels right! Great team of caring people! I donate overtime I can, and know that my money is getting well spent!
This company has helped me open my eyes and help those in need. Such kind hard working individuals that have helped me evolve my own personal growth so much. Thank you for everything!!
The DBP is truly inspiring and I'm so proud to be a part of it. Giving back and making a positive difference in the community has never been easier or more fun. JOIN US!
We love DBP! It is a family affair to give back to our community. I attend all their flash mob events with my kids to teach them the value of giving back and showing them tangible ways to impact the community. We help support and contribute to their toy drives and get to put smiles on kids faces. We attend and support the Gala events, which are top notch and show what kind of amazing impact they can make for kids in need. We love DBP, it is an organization that exudes passion for change within a community. Each and every one of the staff members and volunteers are quality people working hard to make a difference. We love DBP and enjoy supporting their events and encouraging others to do the same.
This nonprofit is setting the precedent for how nonprofits should operate! They are working on some truly great campaigns and issues and their annual gala is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend.
This charity is great! The staff is really nice and they are genuinely nice people who are about the community. They give their %100 to every event they plan!
Oh my gosh! The whole staff at The Dream Builders Project is amazing. I really love what they are trying to accomplish. It's cool that they find local charities and try to help them with their dream. Like how admirable is that? Truly astonishing.
What sets Dream Builders Project apart from the crowd is its leadership. The CEOs mentality is such that he would give you the shirt off his back to help those in need, and this philosophy permeates through the rest of the organization and its staff. Addressing a wide range of social and environmental issues through action-based community development and fundraising, I strongly stand behind DBP's as a premiere LA nonprofit that is driving high-impact in increasing access to resources for the disadvantaged.
Great charity! Sincere and loving. Truly a charity for charities! Not a charity seeking a bunch of PR or marketing opportunities. The DBP team is committed to the greater good, especially helping those who are less fortunate. I have had a blast meeting new people at these events and seeing how much each and every volunteer genuinely cares about making a difference in the community.
I have been volunteering with the DBP for almost a year. I love that they do so many different things and help so many different causes. Everyone there seems to really want to help people and has a great time doing it! If you want to really make a difference in LA, volunteer at the DBP.
The Dream Builders Project is the most genuine, fun and modern way of doing charity. Volunteers are really able to make a difference in their community and with the ability to be diverse in its events, The DBP is able to touch on many social issues that effect all of the members of our population. I highly recommend keeping up with The DBP, its campaigns and participate in their events. They are the new, up and coming charity that WILL make an impact on our society.
I am so proud and honored to be a part of his amazing group and team of humanitarians and philanthropist.
With all these fun back to school initiatives and the feed the homeless events we are trying to stop hungry and alleviate a child's pain as much as possible.
The purpose to to get the whole community and country involved.
This organization is so caring and genuine. They are working constantly to help support our community!
I just began interning and I can't wait to volunteer for the next charity flash mob. Giving back is extremely important and I'm glad to be apart of a company who truly cares about their community.
I was walking my dog one day at the park and saw an event going on. I was really curious to what was happening and so I asked. It turned out to be a "charity flash mob". They were creating survival bags for the homeless people and passing them out. That was super awesome to help out the needy, so I did my research and it turned out they do this almost every other month! I signed up to attend their future events and so I can give back to my own community myself and earn good karma points. What an awesome Non-Profit organization and I'm looking forward to attending their next events.
This charity is awesome, I especially love their Flash Mobs! It's a great chance to meet others, give back to the community, and feel great. The Dream Builders Project puts great effort into their events and don't just have one specific cause because they want to help out everyone.
If you want to have a fun time while giving back, no doubt The Dream Builders Project is a perfect fit.
If you want to have fun, and help those in need, follow and join The Dream Builders Project next time.
I was a volunteer at their event March 15, had fun and meet a lot of people, and it feels better when you
know you help those in need.
Had a chance to get involved to one of their BIG events last MARCH 15. And I didn't experience anything but FUN, GRATEFULNESS and LOVE. This is an up and coming Non-Profit organization that I believe would change the "game" of being a helping entity. I am looking forward to volunteer and work with the people behind this Organization. :) And BTW, their founder MAYER DAHAN is not only good looking but one heck of a nice guy. :) Way to go DBPLA
