Mission: The Dream Builders Project is a Los Angeles-based charity whose mission is to give back to the community, make a difference in the lives of others, and impact the world at large in a positive way. Through digital and social media outreach, charity events and galas, and fundraising campaigns, The DBP focuses on raising awareness about many of humanity’s key social issues including child abuse and neglect, poverty, homelessness, and severe illness and disease. The Dream Builders Project is not restricted to any particular group or cause, but is purely dedicated to the improvement of humanity. We pursue this mission through action-based events and campaigns, such as: -Charity events that bring hundreds of volunteers together to offer relief and aid to a group of people within the community. -An Annual Charity Gala benefiting the Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. -Building relationships with orphanages and care centers to offer our services and assistance, including donations of food, clothing items, sanitary equipment and toys, as well as infrastructure repairs and remodeling. -Community involvement by staff and volunteers at social occasions and other charity events to support and further the outreach of other worthy causes. -Spreading public awareness of key social issues through an extensive database of contacts, social media campaigns, and an internationally recognized hashtag, #DBPLA.

This non profit in my opinion is changing the world of charity. By acting as a charity for charities the dream builders project is able to facilitate more events and more impact in a much more efficient manner then ever previously accomplished. Dollar for dollar they invest 100% of all proceeds and donation directly to all their causes. Their leadership is outstanding, with a staff so gifted and skilled, led by CEO and founder Mayer Dahan, who's ability and hard work are what seemingly have a made this nonprofit into the juggernaut it is today. They are supporters of dozens of nonprofits including kids in distress situations, Habitat for Humanity, lupus LA, Los Angeles Children's Hospital and many many more receiving benefits like grants and full-scale galas to facilitate their growth and progress. The Dreambuilders project is currently supporting the homeless community, young students in need, orphanages throughout the nation and outside this country, and abused and neglected children all over the US, human trafficking and many more. I began my involvement with the Dream Builders Project back in 2018 as the emcee for their gala, the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. It was an incredible experience working with the team and getting to know Mayer his story and all the things he's overcome.

I've worked with many charities over the years, but this one definitely is different. Many charities that the Dream Builders Project connects with aligns with all of my values. A couple of years later Mayer asked me to be a part of his board, to which I humbly accepted and was able to raise funds for the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.

It was a transformative experience. One that I've invited many others to take part in. I'm a true believer that the more you give, the more you create the capacity to receive the abundance the world has to offer. It is my belief that Dream Builders Project is something that you
should take part in at least once in your lifetime. The Joy, pleasure and happiness we get to bring to the children and families we support are some of the greatest feelings on earth!

To Whom it may concern,

My name is Tracy Resendiz, I am 54, I am a homeless college student with Covid. Before Covid shut the County of Ventura down, I also owned a business with 50 employees. Now, now I am living, if that is what you could call it, out of my car.I feel through all the cracks of the so-called funding that was out there for Covid, I did not receive any funding from our government, I am a taxpayer. I am mad, I am beyond frustrated, I do not have money, I am sick. I am also tired, very tired of asking for help. I am tired of being told to call 211 that they have help for the homeless. I am tired of being classified as homeless. I was quarantined for 10 days (about 1 and a half weeks) and the public health department had paid for that. After the ten days I was told to leave I was better. How am I better when the test results still come back positive? How am I better when I am still running fever, tell me? How am I better when I am still coughing up blood? I am not better! I cannot find the words to explain how I feel. Disappointed does not begin to describe how I feel. I am beside myself. I have called everyone in the county of Ventura to just be put aside and not herd. I have called everyone from COC to the homeless network to 211. There is no help there. I jumped threw the hoops for The Whole person care organization. I did everything I was told to do, they promised there were motel vouchers that would house me until the beginning of January. Joe Ann Hernandez, lied. I asked for help from Joe Eckles, from the turning point foundation, he had promised to help with 3 months of rent. After a month's tie .He lied I was put out when he only paid one month. He said it was due to me not turning in paperwork. Once again, he lied. I turned in all the paperwork. I applied for housing is key funding no help as of, yet I was put out of the house. Where is all the funding? I want to know where my tax dollars are going. I want to know what state officials are are doing to help the citizens of Ventura County. I want a place to call home again. I deserve that I have worked and paid taxes. Now I am sick, broke and still trying to overcome homelessness and covid. Someone needs to listen to me. I need help! I do not want another phone number. I do not want another empty promise. I am someone's mother, I am someone's daughter, I am a grandmother. I am out here in the streets alone without gas, without a home, without clean cloths, I am sick and tired. I work! Dam it! But I can't right now because I am still sic. Do you want to know what I was told by someone at 211 I was told it was probably better I had a car to stay in so I would not infect anyone. What about when I need to use the restroom? Is anyone listening? God forbid if one day you should have to go through what I have been going through. It is a dam shame that this letter should even need to be written. I need help. I need someone to HELP me.

MY UNEMPLOYMENT RAN OUT, I NEED SOME FUNDING TO PAY FOR THE MOTEL I AM IN UNTIL JANUARY 2022. SO, I CAN GET BACK ON MY FEET AND I WONT NEED ANYONE OR ANYMORE HELP. THE WEEKLY RENT HERE IS 450.00 A WEEK. WHAT ARE ALL THESE EHG AND SNAPS VOUCHERS FOR WHO IS USING THEM? OR IS THE COUNTY OF VENTURA STILL SITTING ON ALL OF THE FUNDING WE NEED?

I do not want an email back with another phone number from an office that could care less about the homeless people here in Ventura County. I do not want an email back with empty promises. I do not want an email back with an appointment that is going to end up nowhere. I want help. I need help by next Thursday or I will be staying in my car again with Covid.

I have been a volunteer with the Dream Builders Project Los Angeles for four years. In that time I have seen how much they have done for the community and especially children’s Hospital.

I like participating in the care package events in west Hollywood and also the back to school events. Dream Builders makes so many people in the community so happy.

The Dream Builders Project has really worked hard to make a difference for the students that we serve at After-School All-Stars, Los Angeles.
Their team is not only involved, but actually interested and enjoy giving back.
Our students who have the greatest of need and the fewest of resources have been able to receive donation items that include new school supplies as well as holiday gifts and fun experiences to help lift their spirits over the years.

Thank you Dream Builders Project for your care of our youth in Los Angeles. Thank you for making a difference!

I have been working with dream builders for a number of years now. They do many different events throughout the year including back to school and homeless care packages. It is a well organized and well run nonprofit. I have enjoyed seeing the children’s faces at the back to school event and the number of people who participate grows every year. The care packages is a very inspiring event also where they go out and help the community. I look forward to working with them in the coming years!

Dream Builder's Project really focuses on helping smaller charities that don't get as much notice/representation and/or funding and I think that's really great. They are able to reach out to every part of Los Angeles locally and to every one that's doing something important no matter how small and help build their dream a little bit bigger!

Interning with The Dream Builders Project has been one of my most worthwhile experiences so far. I have been with The DBP team for almost a year and I have learned so much about myself and gained an abundance of experience. Here at The DBP we are more than just a "charity for charities" but we believe and actually make a difference in our communities! The team I work with is very passionate and hardworking and love what we do here. We are just beginning and excited for the opportunities that will come our way.

This place has great potential but has a hard time following through and producing real change, I'm not sure how they choose their causes but they have way too much going on for the small staff to handle. Honestly feels more like it exists to benefit the company that owns it, probably tax wise and for a good overall corporate image, not to mention the CEO really tries to sell you on how good of a person he is (when nobody's asking) and it all just feels so.. shady? Not sure how it has so many great reviews.

The Dream Builders Project is one of the most impactful charities I have had the pleasure of working with. There are countless ways in which DBPLA is making a difference -
*The "Flash Mobs" that help the homeless and supply children in need with school supplies
*Volunteering at orphanages in Tijuana and helping to build houses for those in need
*The amazing "A Brighter Future for Children Gala" to benefit The Audrey Hepburn C.A.R.E.S. Center at Childrens Hospital Los Angles
*The campaign to end Human Trafficking and Sex Slavery.

The Dream Builders Project works tirelessly to better our community, help those in need, and change the world. I am honored and proud to be affiliated with such an amazing organization.

I was walking my dog one day at the park and saw an event going on. I was really curious to what was happening and so I asked. It turned out to be a "charity flash mob". They were creating survival bags for the homeless people and passing them out. That was super awesome to help out the needy, so I did my research and it turned out they do this almost every other month! I signed up to attend their future events and so I can give back to my own community myself and earn good karma points.
