Fidelis

Programs: Fidelis is a national catholic advocacy group founded to help best apply the authentic social teaching of the catholic church in american public life. Fidelis provides catholic citizens critical commentary and information on the foundational issues of marriage, parental rights in education, religious liberty and the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. In furtherance of this mission, fidelis education programs included over 2 million postal mailings and over 5 million e-mail messages to inform citizens of legislation, executive policy, administrative and regulatory and legal changes that impact the civil rights of american citizens, with a particular emphasis on the threats posed to the foundational right to religious freedom and the sanctity of life. Fidelis also worked to help catholics understand the critical issues involved in the 2016 elections, urging voters to inform their consciences and vote accordingly. As a part of this campaign, the president of fidelis speaks regularly to grassroots groups across the country.

fidelis operated a d/b/a commonly known as catholic vote or catholicvote. Org (cv), to educate, mobilize and influence public policy on issues of concern to catholic voters and all people of good will. Cv used online media programs, including video commercials, social media, and email messaging to inform voters of key issues of importance. In furtherance of this effort, cv used media placements on social media, web search engines, and commonly visited web destinations to provide commentary and educational information for likely voters. Cv engaged directly with key legislators with phone calls and meetings to promote greater collaboration among partners, elected officials and related parties seeking ideas on how to best address social, moral, fiscal and budgetary issues from a uniquely catholic perspective. The catholicvote. Org website operated as the 501(c)4 counterpart to the catholic vote education fund.
