Mission: Excel educational enterprises, inc. Believes in the intrinsic value of all individuals, and in their right to equal services and access. As a result of this belief, we are dedicated to enhancing the welfare of at risk youth, their families and communities.
Programs: After school learning centers provide tutorial services to a minimum of 50 at-riskyouth (grades k-12), with an average daily attendance of 32 students. Workshops are facilitated eachsemester focusing on minority cultural activities intended ro raise aspirations and expectations throughrelevant minority cultural acitivities, history and accomplishments; to teach and encourage the development studyand job skils, and to improve parent communications with eduators. Financialincentive awards are provided to students for academic achievement as per established and board approved criteria. The secondary school tutor component employs at least eight secondary schoolstudents to provide educational assistance for students enroled in the program. Including presentations at various community & cultural events, aps &charterschools, basketball camps, youth conferences, churches, underage drinkingtown halls, neighborhood meetings, the after school learning center, and publicservice announcements through print and radio.
the summer program provided physical education during the month of june including a basketball camp and nutritional education.
the reintegration pilot program provided education and training to people coming out of the correctional system.
