Mission: To teach blind people to tune, repair and maintain the high quality of acoustic pianos. To provide tuning and other services to the public as part of the training provided.
Programs: The training center teaches blind people to tune, repair and maintain the high quality of acoustic pianos. Students recondition pianos for sale and rent, and provide tuning and other services to the public as part of the training provided. Charges to the public for the sale and rental of pianos, tuning and other services, together with tuition charges, tools and other reimbursements and contributions from the public all help to defray the costs of providing this training to blind students.
after all assets were sold and all debts paid, the residual cash was transfered (donated) to the community foundation for southwest washington to establish the emil fries endowment fund. The foundation shall distribute an appropriate percentage of the fair market value of the fund for the benefit of blind or visually-impaired individuals.
