Causes: Arts & Culture, Ballet
Mission: To bring theatrical dance to the greater austin community in an entertaining and educational arena. To train & educate dancers in all aspects of theatrical performance, including technical preparation, lighting design, set design, costuming and choreography. To provide scholarships for aspiring performers to pursue training opportunities.
Programs: Provided dance classes and training in a variety of dance and movement styles, including yoga, pilates, world dance and ballroom dance. Student enrollment was approximately 25 in 2016.
produced peter pan, degas rehearsal, pas de quatre, les sylphides, and the choreography project in addition to our annual production of the austin children's nutcracker. Approximately 30-50 dancers participated in each production. Our many volunteers assisted in costuming, sets, and fundraising. There were approximately 10 crew members and 25-30 volunteers involved with each production. The combined audiences for the spring productions were approximately 600. Attendance at the nutcracker was approximately 1,300.
