Mission: To strenghthen the community through philanthropy
Programs: The community foundation of north louisiana serves as a powerful catalyst for building charitable giving and effecting positive change in our area. In our shared endeavor to build a more robust and vibrant community, we fund a variety of critical initiatives, inlcuding education, health, arts and culture, and poverty alleviation. The foundation has successfully stewarded the philanthropic interests of past donors and is poised to lead the next generation of givers to address the challenges facing our region.
give for good: a 24-hour online giving challenge to raise unrestricted dollars for the nonprofits in our community. The purpose is to build a broad and more engaged culture of philanthropy for our community by bringing as many people as possible together around giving, and raising awareness in the community about the many services our nonprofit community provides. Through this program, the foundation wants to build the next generation of philanthropists for the shreveport metro area.
community counts serves as a scorecard on the quality of life for the shreveport-bossier city area. The indicators used are categorized into six broad sections: (1) population, (2) economic well-being, (3) human capital, (4) health, (5) physical environment, and (6) social environment.
other program services include lincc - an online gis mapping website with nonprofit information for our community, and other miscellaneous programs.
