Mission: The christian center of park city (ccpc) is a christian, humanitarian community resource center that helps improve the lives of people and communities through meeting immediate and basic needs, serving as a leading networker of community resources, offering counseling and care support, and by giving hope to those we serve. Focusing primarily on summit and wasatch counties, ccpc seeks to meet people at their point of need. Ccpc is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We do not discriminate nor require any religious affiliation in order to receive our services. We provide services and programs to anyone in need regardless of race, creed, or gender.
Programs: The christian center of park city (ccpc) started in 2000 to serve as a community organization that sought to meet people at their point of need. Over the last 16 years, the center has started a multitude of programs, engaging hundreds of volunteers in thousands of hours of service projects, and helping countless residents secure the resources they need to survive. Food pantry: ccpc operates the largest food pantry in summit and wasatch counties. During the past year, ccpc provided approximately 25,303 visits for individuals receiving assistance through the center's food pantry and 129 individuals received emergency assistance funds.
thrift stores: ccpc operates two thrift stores and a boutique shop. The stores offer tremendous values on mens and womens clothing, housewares and small appliances, footwear, outerwear, and seasonal exercise equipment. They receive donations of furniture, household items, and clothing where the majority is given to lower income individuals and families. The rest is sold to fund this and other program services. Approximately 36 people received clothing assistance during the year.
counseling center: ccpc's counseling center provides a team of passionate, professional counselors dedicated to helping individuals move from the sticking points in life and learn more about themselves in the process. Counselors have a wide variety of specialties ranging from kids to adults in both english and spanish.
native american outreach: ccpc is working to address the health issues of obesity and diabetes facing the goshute tribe and other native american communities. Ccpc provides vital services to the confederated tribes of the goshute reservation each month in ibapah, utah. Back to school basics: ccpc provides a program taking hundreds of low- income children shopping for school clothes each year. Operation hope: this program provides toys and gifts for over 1,500 local kids in ccpc's christmas toy store. Healthy snacks in backpacks: this program provides kid-friendly food to low-income students who need extra food over the weekend. Ccpc serves all four park city elementary schools and ibapah elementary school (on the goshute reservation) and has now been expanded to ecker middle school. Bookstore: ccps maintains a bookstore which stocks books, videos, dvds and other resources that pertain to the educational and religious purposes of the center.
