Causes: Homes for Children & Adolescents

Programs: Brantwood is a home for children who need one. We serve boys and girls ages ten (10) to twenty (20) years old who, through no actions of their own, have not received a fair start to life, and provide them with the same things that any parent would provide their own children. In addition to the basic necessities of food, clothing, and shelter, we attempt to instill a sense of normalcy and provide a caring, family environment for the greater than fifty (50) children who received our care over the past year. Brantwood may accomodate up to thirty-six (36) children at any given time.
finding a need for a more specialized educational program for our children, brantwood began educating our youth on-site in the mid-1990s thanks to a donation from the kiwanis club of montgomery, which was used to build our school building. The brantwood on-site educational program or bosep, as it is commonly called, allows our children a safe place to learn at their own levels. Having a lower student to teacher ratio allows us to account for the individual aptitudes, interests, and challenges of
the independent living program strives to provide children ages eighteen (18) to twenty-one (21) with the tools, skills, knowledge, and experience they need to secure and maintain employment and housing; assume responsibility for their health and nutrition; contribute to their community; and form rewarding relationships with their peers.
