My daughter really enjoyed participating in Leading Ladies of Legacy's mentoring program. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to expound upon opportunities for their daughters to learn more about themselves and showing respect to others.
Leading Ladies of Legacy brought a mentoring program to our school that was amazing! The club met once a week and the girls learned life skills, how to be a lady, public speaking, had social outings, and learned about girls who were changing the world. Our girls left testimonials that they learned so much about themselves and their place in the world (these girls were as young as first and second grade!) Hearing that our students were so excited about an enrichment program enhances our school culture as a whole and makes our students excited about the school day. Everything that we stand for. Can't wait to see this program continue to grow and enhance our girls lives.
This organization was founded on the premise of changing girls lives, especially those of color who tend to be more underrepresented. There are so many girls in our community who are looking and are desperately in need of role models, mentors, friends, and this is a great organization to come and be trained on how to transform lives. Our curriculum is specifically written to address the challenges, strengths, and stories of girls of color and to help mold the adversities they may one day have to face. I don't know of any of other place that focuses on the legacy and leadership of our girls like Leading Ladies of Legacy Inc.!
I heard about this organization five years ago and signed up to volunteer. Although I haven't volunteered in a while because of my schedule, it was a great organization with a great vision. I hope to get back to being able to help the mission.
I interned for Leading Ladies of Legacy for a semester and learned a lot about nonprofits and marketing. The owner cares a lot about people and pushed me outside of my comfort zone by helping me find my voice. Yes, it was for college credit but it was also more than that. They are building leaders and helping women and girls find their voice and build confidence. I'm grateful for the experience.
