Programs: Bolt residency is a one-year residency program that offers up to 11 visual artists dedicated studio workspace and a solo exhibition at cac, customized professional development, and community- building. Bolt offers a unique opportunity for working artists who can benefit from the program's services while also maintaining jobs and personal lives in the city. Bolt provides space to experiment and create new work within a supportive peer-community, and valuable exposure through the solo exhibition in cac's gallery. Bolt organizes studio visits with 20-25 of chicago's preeminent arts professionals throughout the year, including established artists, curators, gallerists, and arts administrators. Bolt artists have free access to all field/work training and workshops as both participants and alumni.
