Mission:
The Central Florida Haven of Hope Ministries is committed to assisting all HIV/AIDS infected and affected people in our community with practical needs for their bodies, spiritual encouragement for their souls and counseling for emotional support. We are also committed to training Churches and community based organizations in effectual ministry to the HIV/AIDS community to assist in expanding the scope of practice of care to those in need.
Programs: The HOH began providing food sevices to those that are HIV/AIDS infected in 1992. Healthy food and personal hygiene items are provided to these people in need. Because those that are served have an immune deficiency, it has been vital to provide the healthiest food products. When a client comes to our agency, a client file is created that include copies of there existing medical status as well as updates on future changes that need to be documented. If an individual does not have medical information they are given food and advised on what will be needed the next time that they access. Food is procured through the Second Harvest Food Bank and local in-kind donations.
