I have been volunteering at In Harmony With Nature for 14 years. This has been one of the greatest blessings and opportunities in my life.

I was a teacher and an assistant principal in Orange County schools for 35 years. Once I retired, I wanted to find a place to volunteer. With my background in education and leadership I was able to recognize the invaluable traits of leadership that the director, Kim Kapes, exudes. Not only does she have a heart for the animals and volunteers, but her background in animal training and in firefighting has set her up to be a successful director of the sanctuary.

Kim works tirelessly at the rescue 24 seven! I have never seen anyone with the dedication that she has, not only for the animals and their quality of life, but also for the volunteers and their safety and satisfaction.

Not only do we serve the animals in our sanctuary, but we also work with OCAS in the rescue of animals and also with other counties, when emergencies come up. Our networking within the state is quite expansive.

As the volunteer trainer, I have had the opportunity to work directly with Kim, in not only training the volunteers, but also in grant writing, animal rescue, and in maintaining the facility standards required by the Florida fish and wildlife that are required for our sanctuary.

I have also been trained in feeding the animals. We get our food from second harvest in Orlando and trust me when I say that our wolves and Wolf dogs eat better than I do! They get quality roast, steaks, ham, hamburger, chicken and fish! And this quality food is given daily!

As the volunteer trainer, a program has been developed that requires 50 hours of basic training to be a new volunteer. The volunteers are also required to pass a safety quiz. We are very serious about the safety of our volunteers and the quality of care our animals receive, therefore our program reflects this intent.

In Harmony With Nature is a wonderful 501(c)(3) nonprofit! I am proud to call In Harmony With Nature my second home❤️

I have been with IHWN for over 12 years as a volunteer! IHWN is a sanctuary nestled under a canopy of oaks in Orlando, Fl. This organization provides a safe and loving environment for wolves, wolf dogs, dogs, cats and tortoises. The cadre of volunteers are dedicated in providing a clean and safe environment for all the animals. When given the opportunity, the organization provides educational learning situations for the community. This is a sanctuary that not only the volunteers are proud of, but the community is glad to call their own.

I volunteered at this sanctuary for a little over 2 years, and would still be there if I hadn't moved a little too far away. I still donate money when I can and send supplies through Amazon on occasion. These wolves and wolfdogs are well loved and cared for. They aren't bred as someone else said and they certainly aren't fed food from the dumpster. Those are blatant lies. The director and all of the volunteers take good care of these animals, providing love and enrichment for them. I miss them dearly.

This sanctuary is amazing! Kim and all the amazing volunteers there have a deep love for this beautiful God given animal. It shows in the hard work and relationships they build for the wolves and being apart of that for a time when volunteering is one the highlights of my life. So blessed to know and always be connected to his wonderful community.

I volunteered at IHWN for 11+ years and have never met a group of people more dedicated to the good health and well being of animals, not just at the sanctuary, but everywhere. If you ever get a chance to meet the animals and the people that care for them at this amazing place you will be forever blessed.

I previously wrote a review several years ago when I started volunteering. I would like to expand on that. I volunteered with In Harmony for close to 8 years and 1000 hours before moving to Colorado to advance my career. In my last year of volunteering I drove almost three hours to continue volunteering with the people and animals I developed the most special bond with. In my time there I never saw any breeding of animals and especially not "involuntary breeding " as suggested in a couple recent reviews. The animals definitely did not eat "dumpster meat" as also suggested. In my time volunteering I never felt unappreciated for my work and if I did I would have not continued to volunteer for as long as I did. If I still lived in Florida I would still volunteer. No matter what was going on in my own life I was never made to feel like I wasn't valued. Kim has dedicated her life to the love and care of these animals and to helping the volunteers with whatever resources she can. Any negative review of this organization has been fabricated by people who have no idea what goes on on the property. There have been no abuse investigations by the county in my time volunteering and any previous investigations were disproven nearly a decade ago. This place saved my life and mental health on numerous occasions and the animals are the loves of my life . The animals receive the utmost love and care by everyone connected to tbe charity. Any negative reviews are posted by people with personal ill intent and have been falsified and are not a representation of this organization whatsoever.

Kim and the In Harmony With Nature family go above and beyond to save lives. I have experienced multiple instances where animals with no hope, facing death, were saved because of Kim's endless compassion and because of the absolute dedication of In Harmony. When all hope has seemed lost, I have personally witnessed In Harmony do whatever it takes to come up with a solution to ensure the animals involved have a chance at the wonderful life they deserve.

In Harmony With Nature Wolf Sanctuary is one of the most inspiring and compassionate places I’ve ever had the privilege of visiting. The care and dedication shown to the animals here is absolutely unparalleled. Every resident, whether wolfdog, wolf, or any other species, receives top-tier care, enrichment, and attention.

Director Kim Kapes pours her heart and soul into this sanctuary, and it’s evident in every detail. She puts the animals first in every decision, ensuring they have species-appropriate diets, outstanding medical care, and the emotional and mental stimulation they need to thrive. Her commitment goes far beyond the basics—she truly understands these animals on a deep level and advocates for them with unmatched passion.

The environment at In Harmony With Nature is peaceful, respectful, and centered on what’s best for the animals. You can feel the love and intention behind every enclosure, every enrichment item, and every interaction. It’s not just a rescue, it’s a lifelong promise to give these animals the best life possible.

I can’t say enough good things about this incredible place. If you’re looking to support a sanctuary that truly walks the walk when it comes to animal welfare, this is it.

My connection to In Harmony With Nature was a huge disappointment to say the least! I was a volunteer there for a while. The owner definitely plays favorites with the volunteers who help there. Unfortunately, I was not one of them. I was sorely mistaken when I considered the owner, Kim Kapes, to be a friend. She is not, except for a few chosed people who volunteer there. Now, to be fair, she did do a few things for me: to wit: When I moved she took in a few of my cats that I was unable to take to my new location, two of whom I collected; there are two left. She took in two cats from another location as they would not have survived remaining after I moved. She helped with two veterinary visits, for which I instructed her to advise me of their cost so that I could reimburse her; On occasion, she provided me with some cat litter and cat foor (that she collects at no charge from Chewy in Ocala). Here is what I did for her and her organization: I DONATED A TOTAL OF $6,000 to her facility! I donated new fans for the cat room because the airconditining was so bad and inhumane for animals! I donated a freezer; a refrigerator freezer; a video surveillance set up (which she never installed); a weather radio which is necessary especially during hurricane season (which as of the last time I was there was gone!) I wanted the cats in the cat room to at least have some music as this is their home! But NO, it was gone! I donated a number of high end flashlights, for emergency use, and as of the last time I was there, they were gone! Everytime I went to this particular store, I would bring the owner a grocery store bag with many healthy food items that I knew she could never afford! Even though I get a discount on these things, it was money out of my pocket. THESE PEOPLE, PARTICULARLY THE OWNER, KIM KAPES, appreciate exactly NOTHING! The respect exactly NOTHING or the radio, fans, flashlights wouOh, and the inside of the building of the facility is a complete mess!! It was cleaned up one time since I had been going there, then it was back to a dump again. The owner, loves the animals, BUT she needs to have a little more respect for people, other than those few she calls her friend! Obviously, I was never one of them. Before you do anything for this organization, just know that you will never be considered a "friend"....they will take whatever you have to offer, but don't expect respect in return. If you're okay with that, have at it! Just to be clear, there is NO ONE, EVER, who can't find five minutes to let another human being know they exist! But not this woman! Another friend of mine asked "Does she eat? Doesn't she have a few minutes while she's eating?" Apparently not! My goal is to let people know what you are donating to and how you will be treated.

This is not a sanctuary. The owner carelessly allows the hybrid wolves and wolves breed and make new puppies that are not “re-homed”. This is a false sanctuary with wild animals who are kept in small enclosures and are fed expired food from Walmart dumpsters. Thanks to an insider close to the location/property there is photo and video proof. Very poor care and the animals cry all day and all night.

I love animals and another volunteer told me about In Harmony with Nature! I was so excited to meet the wolves and see the facility when I got my tour and introduction to the venue! The volunteer coordinator was very thorough and explained all aspects of the facility. The director is very knowledgeable about all animals and the wolves respond to her like she is the Dr Doolittle of wolves! It’s a wonderful facility ran by a director that is caring of not only the wolves but the volunteers as well❤️

I have been volunteering here for 8 months. I love IHWN, as it is a safe haven for wolves and wolf dogs (and cats!) as well as the volunteers.

This place is so special for a variety of reasons. I love being able to support an amazing cause that truly cares about the wellbeing of the animals, the care and nurturance, as well as the importance of education.

It is a gift to be able to connect with and care for these very special and fascinating creatures. Everyone that volunteers here has such a big heart, and helps in supporting the mission to be more in Harmony with nature.

Kim’s attunement and diligence in caring for the animals is unparalleled. She has fostered such a unique experience here and she has such a big heart for this work.

I am so grateful to be part of this team!

Our director, Kim Kapes, is a highly trained and experienced wolf, wolf dog, dog and cat person. Our goal is to not only provide a loving and safe environment for our animals, but to educate the public when the opportunity presents itself. I have been fascinated by wolves since I was a little girl. My best friend told me that the rescue she worked for had gotten a wolf dog and he was going to In Harmony With Nature. I Googled them and saw they had volunteer opportunities. At the time I was using a walker but I applied and was accepted in to the Pack! I now have 500 volunteer hours. This opportunity has brought me much joy and enlightenment. I will never be the same!

You would never think that going to a sanctuary with so many wolves, dogs, and cats would be so peaceful. But it really is so quiet there! The philosophy of being "In Harmony with Nature" makes for a calm secure feeling for all of our fur babies. Every animal there has love, shelter, proper food, and most of all safety and security. In harmony has such a calm and welcoming environment and you can tell by how happy the animals are by the way they welcome you into their pack. It's not your normal animal sanctuary it's one that takes care of animals with special and specific needs. From blindness to wolfdogs that need a different kind of care from normal dogs. Its a lot of hard work taking care of the animals their pens and the land but so worth it when you make the special connection with all the animals. Especially when they give you a thank you with a very big and very wet kiss across your whole face.

I first learned of In Harmony With Nature from my cousin who volunteered there. When we decided to adopt another dog, we found our Fiesty there. He was a scared little puppy who tried to go back into the shelter as soon as my cousin let him out to meet us and our dog Starley. When Fiesty met Starley, though, they bonded instantly and played together while we talked to Kim and my cousin. We found out that Kim had rescued Fiesty from a high kill shelter and she knew that since he was a black pitbull mix, even though he was just a puppy, he would not last long at that shelter. We will always be grateful to Kim for that, Fiesty is an amazing, loveable dog who is now part of our family. Kim and the volunteers work hard every day to make a home for the animals they have rescued and In Harmony With Nature is a wonderful sanctuary.

IHWN is amazing. I signed up to volunteer extremely nervous, wanting to help animals but with little experience beyond my own pets. I was warmly invited to the sanctuary to safely meet the wolves and other animals, learn about the sanctuary’s mission, and decide whether volunteering was right for me. I immediately knew that it was. Since then I have been welcomed into an incredible world where everything is done with heart and safety in mind. It is amazing to be able to volunteer and put the needs of an animal before my own, to be taught by such kind people who value not only the safety and well-being of the animals, but the safety and well-being of their volunteers. Every day that I volunteer at this sanctuary I feel that I am enriching the lives of the animals I help take care of, and in turn they are enriching mine.

Over the years I have sponsored wolves..watched documentaries..bought lots of calendars..but I have been given the most extraordinary wolf gift of all by being allowed to care for them . I am supposed to be enriching their lives but they are enriching mine.

We are also held up to standards for our and the animals safety. But also have the chance to bond with all the animals and learn how to understand behavior of such majestic creatures. Helping animals is what they care about and it shows as soon as you get there.

This is a wonderful place to volunteer at. The owner and all of the volunteers create a great and pleasant atmosphere while always putting the animals first. I’ve learned a great deal about the animals I work with in the time I’ve been volunteering. I truly appreciate the chance to experience working with these incredible animals first hand with the support of a highly knowledge staff.

I always knew that I had more waiting for me... Being fairly young, disabled, and with not but a few house chores a day, I was lost and without purpose. IHWN helped me get a sense of joy back. I now have something and many someones to look forward to. Thanks for giving me a sense of purpose back.

Hello, I’m a two time cancer survivor I found In Harmony with Nature Animal Sanctuary thanks to my husband who met a volunteer at a environmental function. He knows I love wolves but that was more than two years ago. I have found such peace and positive experiences working with Kim and the animals it’s changed my life literally. I would go every day if I could. It’s such a wonderful place for humans and the other animals.

Although the property is a stone's throw from a major road intersection, it's quiet, shaded by numerous tall old trees, and feels like your elderly grandparents' back yard. This shelter houses wolves, wolf dogs, pigs, tortoises and a large group of cats. The cats, for all intents and purposes, have their own house. All the canines have enclosures big enough for them to run a bit. The staff are loving, patient, passionate and dedicated. The residents receive medical care, love, good food, play, enrichment and love. They do all this with an all-volunteer staff and a miniscule budget. The best thing to see there are the expressions of love and happiness on the facss and in the behaviors of all the 2- and 4-footed denizens. Every resident is able to live a safe, healthy and stressless life until iit's time to cross the Rainbow Bridge.

I have been a volunteer at this amazing place for 2 years now. I cant speak enough about how important it is to educate the public about the requirements and needs of exotic animals like wolves, tortoises, or even piggies. And how they also need to have a place to go when someone decides that owning one is no longer something they are willing to commit to. The people who volunteer here believe in supporting these animals by providing them the best chance with love, patience, and respect. This is a small non-profit, but it has an important message and a lot to teach its community and volunteers.

We adopted a kitten so out other rescue cat would have a friend and they were matched up perfectly! I wish we were able to adopt other animals because I know their coming from a place that has made them feel safe.

In Harmony with Nature is really a special place. It is run off of donations and volunteer work. Not only is it an amazing place for wolves and wolfdogs, there's cats, dogs and tortoises that have made home here. Volunteering has been so much fun, it's really a loving environment for the animals. But it's also not just good for the animals, it's a good atmosphere to volunteer in. I've made some great friends a long the way and you can tell the people really care. I am proud to call myself a volunteer at the organization.

It's hard to believe I have volunteered at IHWN for 8 years!! This is an amazing Sanctuary that focuses on the natural well being of the animals. Wolves, dogs, cats, tortoises and even a pig!!
The animals are cared for and loved for the duration of their lives. The facility is a beautiful area tucked beneath Florida oaks and provides the animals with a shady, serene environment. The director, Kim Kapes, is dedicated 24/7 to overseeing the welfare of the animals. From the smallest lizard to the largest wolf..... each animal receives 5 star care!

I adopted two dogs from In Harmony With Nature Animal Haven. Both of which went on to be service dogs. The first dog was trained by Kim over 4 years ago to help with my disabilities. I came back looking to owner train a second dog and Kim helped me find a dog that clicked with my personality, was well mannered, and would be a good service dog candidate. Both dogs have been a true blessing that I wouldn't have found without Kim and In Harmony With Nature Animal Haven's help.

I started volunteering at ihwn several years ago. On my first day I adopted a husky and two weeks later I adopted another both from the rescue. When our director started the rescue we were the only wolf dog rescue in central Florida. We have rescued so many wolf dogs and wolves over the years who would gave otherwise been euthanized. We strive to have a peaceful beautiful place where wolves, dogs, tortoises, and other wildlife can live harmony with their humans that take care of them. In Harmony is that place. I am proud to be a part of this amazing rescue.

This organization is truly amazing and inspirational. Kim Kapes, the founder and director, is incredibly knowledgeable about the behavior of animals, specifically wolves, wolf hybrids, and dogs. The way she and all of the volunteers work, puts out a great atmosphere for the animals living there, filled with plenty of enrichment and activity and safety. I have been volunteering my time there for a little over a year and I couldn’t be more proud to share this nonprofit with the greater Orlando area and world. They take the safety and care of the animals first and foremost which is truly awesome to see; always making sure each volunteer is well prepared before assisting in any way and that every enclosure is completely secure at all times. All the volunteers that I have worked with are so kind and care so much about the animals and people, always going above and beyond to make sure everything gets done around the property. As a nonprofit, fundraising is so extremely important and is always appreciated, so if you can’t find the time to volunteer maybe think about donating even just a couple dollars to help us keep the animals happy and the enclosures secure.

We adopted our dog Jake Blue Eye from In Harmony with Nature and could not have asked for a more supportive and positive adoption experience. They also included us on events so we could get to know their organization better. It is very clear that their primary concern is for the animals they place and they want to make sure that they end up in a forever home with the best possible outcome.

IHWN is a haven in Metro Orlando. They are stewards of not only wolves, but also a variety of other animals in need. There are so many kind hearts that work tirelessly to ensure their safety and comfort. Although dependent on donations for continued success, the most abundant and obvious supply on hand is the love that is freely given and shared by all who step through the gate and witness the chorus of howling wolves welcoming you to IHWN. May they experience abundance for many years to come.

I began volunteering at In Harmony With Nature after meeting Kim Kapes when she trained my dog. I had been looking for an animal no-kill shelter I could support and volunteer at for some time. After reading Kim's book, and observing her work with my dog, I decided her organization was the one for me.

I remember thinking the first time I was there how happy and well cared for all the animals were, and how much work it took every day to care for them! I was a little overwhelmed, but with help from Kim, and the other volunteers, I felt I could handle anything. Everyone there does share a wonderful bond. We all love the animals, and work hard to keep them happy and safe, and to find them forever homes. When one of our wonderful furry friends finds a home, it is such an incredible feeling. Those are the best days for me.

I feel very fortunate to be part of In Harmony With Nature.

I have been a volunteer at In Harmony With Nature Animal Haven for over 3 years. At first I was just taking care of our cats - of which there are quite a few. Presently I am also the Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator. Further on I realized there was so much more to be done on a daily basis with all of our wolves, wolf dogs and other animals at the "Sanctuary" as we refer to it. We are a closed facility - not open to the public. The need for donations is crucial to our continued help and safe and secure facility. When I meet Nokie for the first time, we hit it off from the start. This is a one of a kind pooch. She is nothing but a big bundle of mushy love. It has taken a while for her to fit in, but all is finely coming togather with my other 2 furchildren.

IHWN works and takes on the animals that no one seems to not want. Nokie came to IHWN with her sister Sokie, that is still looking for her for ever home and will not give up until she finds her forever home.

Big Boy showed up at a local shelter I volunteered at.... he was quickly labeled as a "wolf", although he is a Malamute/Shepherd mix. Being labeled a wolf is a quick trip to the back room at that shelter, they would only allow a "wolf" rescue to save him... and there was no local wolf rescue. In Harmony With Nature quickly stepped up and saved his life. I've visited with them numerous times, they are so caring about the animals, and the people who volunteer. Visiting with them is always a positive learning experience.

IHWN is such a wonderful rescue. They stepped up and rescued by Big Boy because he was deemed a "wolf" by my local animal shelter and the local animal shelter will not adopt any "wolf". In fact, they will only allow a wolf rescue to pull a dog they label as "wolf". It's heartbreaking to think my amazing non-wolf malamute mix might have been killed if it weren't for IHWN. He's the best goofy fun loving dog I've ever had and my life is better because of him. I've spent time at IHWN and they care about their animals and making a difference in helping people understand the wolf and wolf-dogs.

I have been volunteering at IHWN twice a week for 6 months and it is a breath of fresh air. The animals are so loved and well cared for and are, as a result, extremely content with their living situations and are good with people. They are so much fun to work with because most of them (all of the animals, including wolves, dogs, cats, and even the chicken) are so open to human interaction. I believe this is because of the powerfully positive energy within the rescue. I am honored to have found this organization and to call myself a part of it!

I took home a kitten from her establishment and I couldn't be happier. He is the snuggliest, sweetest, and well mannered little guy. He brings alot of joy to my household. I can tell they take very good care of their animals. I would definitely do business with them again and will continue donating.

I have had the pleasure of volunteering with IHWN for 4+ years. While volunteering, I have been fortunate to learn from Kim about animal behavior and the correct methods involved in animal care. Kim has exposed me to the successful ways in which we can relate to animals and have a better understanding to them as they can to us.

Whether it's cleaning pens/liter boxes, playing with animals, working events or watching the adoption process, the time spent at IHWN have been some of the most rewarding periods in my life.

IHWN is a great rescue with happy animals who enjoy meeting new people. Please take some time to meet us and our animals whether it's to share love with the fur-babies or find a new family member. It's an experience you won't forget.

I became acquainted with Kim Kapes several years ago through mutual friends in the animal rescue arena. Her IHWN, inc, rescue, adoption, and sanctuary facility is astounding and the animals are calm, happy, and very well cared for. She works tirelessly for the animals seeing to their every need so I was well pleased when she was willing to accept a position on our Board of Directors. In addition to her ongoing responsibilities with IHWN, inc, Kim has been insightful and helpful in her position with Darlynn's Darlins Inc. Her love of animals and dedicated work not only for wolfdogs, but all animals, is a real credit to the animal welfare and protection community.

I have been a big supporter of Kim Kapes and IHWN for several years. I have seen the great love and caring Kim takes for all creatures at the sanctuary. Her mission has evolved to specialize in wolf-dogs but she has taken in and cared for any number of other animals, tortoises, pigs, horses, cats, iguanas, birds, etc. It is her work with the wolf-dogs, which are neither and both and often misunderstood that really shows her work. I have watched her patiently work with a frightened animal and gain its trust so it can be rehabilitated and adopted. She is very perceptive not just with the animals but also people and works tirelessly to find the right fit for the right animal to have a successful adoption. I truly admire her abilities and patience to make a difference in each life she touches. Please support IHWN in any way you are able.

The world would be a better place if we had more non profits like In Harmony with Nature. If you're an animal lover, you can't help but to admire the work Kim and IHWN does on a daily basis. I came across IHWN while on a search to adopt a dog approximately 5 years ago. Kim's professionalism and knowledge of animals was top notch. Not only did I adopt 1 dog, but she helped me out on the search to find a second dog, was there every step of the way, as we introduced them and they became my fuzzy kiddos. :) If you're looking to adopt, don't look any further...

Thank you to Kim and volunteers for making IHWN a wonderful addition to our community!

I volunteered once at this facility (as I reside all the way in Tampa). It is very well run and they do an incredible job. They are filling a role that is badly needed and deserve everyone's support.

I met Kim a few years back after many mutual friends said we should meet. Being that we both run non-profit animal rescue organizations that are both local to our area, it was a wonder we had not met before. Kim brought some baby raccoons to our facility, Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge and our friendship began. I soon after had my first opportunity to see the work she and her crew do firsthand as well as meet a few of her "kids". We seemed to connect pretty well right off the bat and it was obvious we had very similar ways of thinking about many things. I have read Wags to Riches myself and can feel the love and compassion in her words. She gives an opportunity for her readers and IHWN supporters alike to become aware and hopefully open to better ways to have a relationship with your companion pets creating an avenue to understand how they process information and hopefully the reader as well. Meeting Kim was much better than the book. I found her charming, passionate and empowering just as she shows in her book. My years being a part of and running a wildlife refuge, I hope that I am able to share and offer my experiences to Kim to help IHWN if she needs it b. We all need each other to succeed and grow and we need to share our strength and weaknesses alike. I am very impressed at what Kim had accomplished and proud of her for everything she has done to educate and care for some of the most amazing creatures on out planet. Education is the key to saving so many of the amazing animals in our world. We must support each other and support organizations that give back and give everything they have and are to make a difference in this world. I believe in IHWN and I hope you do too! I will do what I can to assist Kim in her endeavors and help make the work a better place for all of us and for all of the creatures that inhabit this beautiful earth we call home.

Years before the economy crashed in 2008, I was at an annual EXPO in town watching this entertaining woman happily pair up doggies & kitties with their new Mama's & Papa's. She found great joy hustling up a storm to help the helpless animals. After 2008 IHWN was overflowing with even more animals needing care and new loving homes. Kim Kapes to the rescue- she is a true Superhero! Her love for all animals and gifted ways with them are supernatural. Kim's heart of gold fuels her tireless work year after year. We are blessed to have her in the community, and IHWN is a gift in every way possible. Support IHWN however you can, as she is one of those special people on Earth who dedicates her life to helping our beloved animal friends.

Kim knows more about animals, particularly dogs, than most people I know. The animals in her care at In Harmony With Nature animal sanctuary actually thrive instead of just survive. I met Kim at an event several years ago - she was promoting IHWN and I was promoting my alternative care business for dogs. We immediately hit it off and have been friends ever since. Kim truly has a way with animals. She promotes the positive aspects of training and care for dogs so that dogs willingly cooperate with their humans instead of being forced into doing what the human wants. The result is a healthier, happier dog, and a better bond between both dog and human.

In Harmony With Nature is a great and friendly animal rescue! Kim always shows high levels of care and responsibility with all of the animals whilst staying at their temporary haven, and goes above and beyond by providing a lifelong home for animals that do not get adopted.

I first met Kim Kapes several years ago when she came to Naples to check out our facility. I was impressed with her energy and demeanor and have worked with her many times in the intervening years, having had my first impressions confirmed. Kim is very knowledgeable in animal behavior and adept at dealing with clients. The care of her animals comes first. She's always ready to help an owner keep their pet with suggestions and tips on behavior management (more applicable to the people than the animals *g*) and has a positive upbeat attitude. I've worked many rescue situations with Kim and have nothing but positive experiences to report.

I began volunteering at IHWN over 2 years ago. I have always been impressed by the level of care and respect given to each animal that enters the facility. Kim Kapes truly does things differently and has a way of inspiring people while bringing out the best in everyone. Currently it is a small organization making a big impact and is only showing signs of improving and expanding in its effort to help companion animals and the people who love them.

I found Kim Kapes 2 years ago now, whilst looking for a kind trainer to help me with one of my rescue dogs. Since then I have learnt so much, gained confidence and knowledge, and I am learning more every day. In Harmony with Nature is a great place to volunteer, and is the most rewarding and enlightening experience I have ever had in my life. I am very fortunate to be a part of In Harmony with Nature. Thank you Kim

Kim Kapes took me in and taught me how to help the animals that come to the rescue. She taught me how to regain their trust and respect. Taking a dog from being afraid of humans to being a loving and gentle pet and companion is a great experience. Once you have taken on the challenge and seen the results you are hooked. To see one of these animals go to a new home where they will have a good life and bring happiness to all they touch is a incredible feeling. In Harmony with Nature will always hold a special place in my heart and soul.

I found In harmony With Nature, while looking for my future dog. i wanted to rescue one from a shelter, and wound up staying week after week to volunteer. I loved all the animals I met while volunteering, and now I can't go more than a few days without visiting them.

Strange how animals affect us like that.

the wonderful thing about In harmony With Nature is that it's a no kill shelter, and while animals come and go from here, all animals that wind up at the doorsteps are welcome to stay as long as they like.

All animals are fed, cleaned, and have plenty of room to play, and socialize.

The Director, Kim kapes is a certified dog listener, and behavioralist, so dogs that could not have found a chance to become adoptable due to behavior issues, can come here, learn not all humans are bad, and find forever homes with new carefully selected ones.
