Mission: For the past 4 decades, coca has presented hundreds of exhibits with over 3,000 artists represented. Coca fosters the local art community by providing much needed exhibition space to over 300 contemporary artists each year. We offer educational events, artist talks, and artist studio space. Coca maintains an archive of unique materials that tell the story of our past to better inspire the future. Coca consistently hosts exhibits that include critically engaging art experiences which support community in the pnw and dialog in the arts today. Through the coca digital archives, we continue to connect past with present to inspire the future of contemporary art. We offer artists publication opportunities, workshops, and portfolio reviews. Our internship program is dedicated to training the next generation of arts leaders.
Programs: 318 artists exhibited & performed 3 different neighborhoods. 24,000 guests attended 10 exhibitions held in our gallery, and other coca hosted exhibits and events in the area. Other accomplishments include: $25,000 paid in artist's commissions. 28 artists provided with studio spaces. 25 local artists featured at our marathon & auction. 4 pop-up exhibitions for emerging & artists of color. $3,000 paid in artist's stipends. 25 world-renowned artists presented in the coca legacy show. 13 hands-on internships. 320 artist memberships.
