Help Animals India is one of the most selfless and efficient organizations. They help so many amazing organizations in several parts of India like VSPCA, JBF and more. HAI helps these organizations with their Spay/Neuter and Rabies vaccination programs that have been proven to be so successful, Vegan Outreach to educate people about compassion, Saving Cows and calfs, elephants, birds, turtles, and helping all animals in need. I wish there were more organizations like HAI and they would get the support they deserve. Eileen works tirelessly and touches so many lives everyday. HAI will always be close to my heart for the amazing work that they do. - volunteer and Donor.
Help Animals India is one of the most effective organizations who work to mitigate animal suffering. They choose to work with groups who all have Spay/Neuter and Rabies vaccination programs that have been proven to be the most successful in humanely controlling street animal populations. In addition, Help Animals India directs donations to remote and forgotten towns and areas in India where the donated funds are incredibly productive in caring for animals and educating the people of the needs of animals in their community. I have been donating to this group several times a year for two years and consider it to be the most satisfying and productive use of the limited funds I have to give to animal care and welfare. The US dollar goes a long way in India and Help Animals India ensures that the best groups who do the most for animals get it.
Help Animals India has done a splendid job of helping the Visakha SPCA, a project where I have some familiarity. As a consequence they have brought about significant improvements in the conditions under which non-human animals survive in the area. Eileen has a excellent knowledge of the operations on the ground at VSPCA and as a consequence she is able to direct attention to areas of greatest need. Help Animals India is highly regarded by all at Visakha and I cannot speak highly enough of their efforts in helping those who need it most.
The way they help animals in need is selfless and caring. So many times India sinks into chaos. The storms and heavy rains destroy all food and shelter for humans and animals. Having to sacrifice to include the animals during such hard times is compassion at its best. It seems to me that the people who work with the sick and often dying animals have understood that the life of an animals is as much worth to them as our life is to us. We are a family of care and love, and every action done with utmost care and compassion plants a seed for a brighter and more balanced universe. It further seems to me that these people understood that we are supposed to be of service for each other, the animals and all of creation included. What a greater cause can there be than to help such people to help other beings in ever better ways. In fact. I can say with the utmost conviction that I wish to have all the people who care so much, and ever wish to increase the quality of care, I wish to keep them forever and all times in my heart. That much of value is their work that it seems sad of one cannot help as much as we wish to. The skills are there and so is the goodwill, the intention and the love. May all beings become healthier and happier and may the animals feel that their life was worth living. Thank you - you all are so very precious and needed. Sometimes, I cannot believe that at this day and age of suffering and war, such good people who care so much especially for the animals, who often suffer more, because of us humans, still exist. People who reduce suffering to animals help to increase happiness in the world for all beings alike. It would be amazing if these wonderful people would get an award. They more than deserve it. With Love - Carina
I have supported Help Animals India for some time and have huge admiration for the tireless work they do to raise funds for very deserving causes. Anybody who has travelled in India will have noticed the plight of animals there. Supporting and donating to HAI will make a huge difference. Without groups like this and leaders like Eileen those animals would suffer without help. Those of us who don't get involved directly with fund-raising should be very grateful for those that put in their time and energy in doing the hard work for us.
Help Animals India is an extraordinarily inspirational non-profit organisation that not only helps to protect animals from cruelty and injury, but is also acutely aware of the environment in which the animals and people live.
Many of the charities that Help Animals India supports have biogas plants which recycle cow dung for energy needs such as cooking which helps the local workers and neighbours. This determination to be aware of environmental issues saves precious funds and helps lessen carbon emissions by reducing the need for cooking fires and electricity.
There is also a very pressing need in India to reduce the amount of garbage that is dumped, particularly plastic, as it is invariably ingested by cows and goats causing enormous health issues including frequent and painful deaths. In many areas of India today plastic bags are being banned which should go some way to help avoid the terrible consequences that the dumping of non-biodegradeable items cause to animals and, over time, the natural environment.
Help Animals India takes a holistic approach to the many issues that surround animal welfare in a poor country. I am immensely grateful that there are people and organisations such as Help Animals India that selflessly and tirelessly work to alleviate pain and suffering for those who have no voice.
Review from Guidestar
Have been following Help Animals India on fb for a while now and am very impressed with the work they do. They keep us up to date with pictures and information, and they work tirelessly for all types of animals.
I came across this group on FB and saw a dog that had come into their shelter in India. Her name was Balu meaning strength and she broke my heart. She was this very happy looking yellow lab sitting on the ground like a person. She was paralyzed in her back legs and due to dragging them had bad abrasions and infections. They were asking for donations to help get her a cart to keep her legs from dragging. I decided I wanted this little girl to have a chance to be truly happy and to get healthy again. I arranged to buy and send her a cart from the states. She finally got it about a month later. Little did I know the poor girl was getting worse from her infections. She died shortly after. Throughout all of this a wonderful lady from Help India Animals helped me to donate, keep me updated and consoled me when I found out "my Balu" had passed away. I finally got pictures of her in her cart but the poor girl was so weak and skinny looking. That spark in her eyes was gone. It must have been shortly before she passed. She never got much use of the cart I had donated but other dogs that need it due to human abuse, neglect or traffic accidents can use it. I will always cherish that little dog and the kind people at the VSPCA and Help Animals India that help dogs like her everyday. This is a truly needy cause for India's animals and anyone who can should please help.
I was so happy when I found out about Help Animals India because the animals in India truly need every bit of help and kindness they can get. I grew up in India so I know a little about the situation of animals there, and it gives me great hope to see that Help Animals India is doing their best. I would highly recommend this organization!
I have loved animals since I was a child. I recall running upto the street animals in India and playing with them, even as others looked on in apprehension or fright. As I grew older, I was saddened by the indifference that most of the people in this world have towards animals. Help Animals India is a group that is doing spectacular work not only in treating and taking care of animals but also in educating people to be sensitive to animals. I have not come across such a passionate, close-knit group of people, working day in and day out to make the lives of animals in India better. They are professional, prompt and extremely transparent. Help Animals India provides employment to a number of local Indians at their shelters. Not only are they improving the employees standard of living, but they are also sensitizing and educating the society and teaching them to be compassionate.
