I am a sailor in the US Navy. Serving this country also opened my eyes to what families in other countries are facing. Some families need just a little support and it will have a very high impact on their current conditions. Cameroon, my home country has a civil war/crisis that has intensely affected the Northwest and Southwest(English Speaking areas). As a result, families are homeless, kids become orphans, families migrate to other regions or neighboring countries for a new start and life has become a living hell for most of them. The people staying back live in fear for their lives from either the government or the freedom fighters.
I decided to follow NGOs like this to get support and ideas to help families affected by these wars in Cameroon. I recently created a page to pass the word and hope I get more people to see these struggles and send aid to these people. Help can be sent via physical stuff to support a kid's education and basic life requirements for survival or contributed to our “GoFundMe” to build temporary housing for some families. I use Charity Gift Cards as client gifts for my financial advisor business. Clients are given the cards for monthly birthday acknowledgments. These gift cards are frankly the only gift we've received positive feedback about. We tried Starbucks cards, bottles of wine...you name it! I would not use due to incredibly poor customer service. I've purchased TisBest gift cards for years but this is the first time I needed to contact customer service and I was never able to hear back from anyone. I emailed three times and left two voice messages for customer service over the last five days and nobody seems to care that it's been 15 days and I have yet to receive my cards. There are so many charity gift card companies who do care if you receive the order you purchased from them - in my experience, TisBest is not one of them.

We are a marketing firm and had helped a client convert a live event into a virtual event. When my children were young, I would plant a tree, or feed the homeless, or adopt an animal for a birthday or Christmas present to teach them about giving. They are now adults with generous natures; however, young career people don't always have enough disposable income to support the causes they care about.

This is a great site that allows you to donate to multiple charities, while also partnering with corporations for donations. Great set up!

I bought these charity gift cards for my nieces and nephews for Christmas who are in their late teens, early twenties. My oldest niece spent a lot of time choosing a charity and settled on a children's clean water network which looked great. I love the idea of them being able to pick their own. My other nieces and nephews didn't choose so after 2 months I chose for them. It was good that I was able to send gifts that were giving back and even though the others didn't take the time to search I was able to login to my account and put the money in a charity I liked. So it all worked great. I also like that you can see who has used it and when and they can even leave a thank you note for you.

The ones that get them and use them, love them. Unfortunately that ends up being about 35%...not sure where they go, SPAM would be my guess. So... I was first given a Tisbest gift card 3 1/2 years ago. I was inspired and started giving out Tisbest giftcards ever since. They are great for all those people you know that have everything, and don't specificallty want anything. It is a gift to them that does so much good for others. I also started last year giving one to by two young nephews so they can learn about giving during the holiday season not just receiving. I am so glad I received a Tisbest gift card years ago it has changed my gifting ever since.

We received gift cards from a friend for Christmas. It was great to sit down with each of my children and talk about all the different varieties of charities represented on Tis Best. Each child got to choose what causes were important to them. Even though the donations to each charity were not huge, I hope that there are a lot of people like me and each drop makes an ocean. Even more important to me, though, was to educate my children about ways that they can make a difference in the world for good.

I am a teacher and received a Tisbest giftcard from an advisee when he graduated. I LOVED this gift. At Christmas time, and other important events, I have come to prefer gifts that honor the decent human being in each of us, that is, that share in helping others. Recently I celebrated my 70th birthday. My husband and daughter, Debbie arranged a surprise birthday party with about 30 friends and family. Debbie arranged for each guest to receive a TISBEST gift card. The feedback we received from our friends and family was so reallypositive. They liked that the site offered a wide choice of nonprofits to choose from and were surprised at how easy it was to use the site. But most of all they really liked the idea that their gift was meaningful. For several years my family has received TisBest cards for Christmas. It is unlike other charities in that it does 2 wonderful things: 1) it helps out organizations, like any charity. 2) It teaches others to give to charity at no cost to them!
