Mission: To recognize and celebrate scottsdale's authentic cultural heritage by providing opportunities for artists, craftsmen and students, visual and performing, individually and collectively, to encourage and enhance their art forms and (cont. Programs: 1) mask of survival: a photographic display that shares with the public the combination of high tech medical applications, the art of photography and the enduring human spirit, all supporting the fight for survival against cancer. This display currently opened at cattle track and is set to go on the road to various mayo clinics. 2) ron hagerty book: a work in progress, writing and photographic compilation of the work of local artist, ron hagerty, whose welded metal sculptures have been capturing the natural beauty of human nature in unusual, surrealistic and whimsical ways since 1969. 3) don barclay book (cont. On sch o)continued from page 2- don barclay book: a work in progress by another local scottsdale artist. Barclay, a watercolor character painter (not the green bay packers player) worked with bob hope, frank sinatra, john wayne, goldwater, eisenhower and others. This book will highlight about 60 to 80 of his characters, most done at the pink pony in scottsdale.
