Mission: Catalytic communities is dedicated to destigmatizing rio de janeiro's favela communities and integrating them into the wider society, generating global recognition of their heritage status through education, research, training, communications,technology, networks and advocacy. Programs include training favela leaders in communications and strategy, conducting educational community visits, lecturing at universities, conducting opinion and impact research, educational publications, and advocacy campaigns. The organization scales its activities by disseminating its approaches to other locations worldwide, sharing knowledge with local organizations in other locations after it incubates and pioneers innovative programs in rio de janeiro. These programs are then replicated or taken forward by larger organizations and partners worldwide.
Programs: Training community leaders in social media, coordination of community outreach programs and local projects, growing an english language community blog (rioowatch) and community online for international distribution channels of rio 2016 community news, expanding educational community visits in rio de jeneiro's favelas, representation of wiseearth.
