Mission: Casa consists of over 30 trained volunteers appointed by a judge to speak for the well-being and safety of an abused or neglected child who is the subject of a dependency/custody hearing. Casa strives to provide the judge with unbiased information so that the best placement can be made, ensure that children are not abused or neglected by the very system meant to protect them, ensure that children spend less time embroiled in dependency issues, and ensure that the child spends his life in a safe, loving permanent home.
