Great organization. Helped me with some kittens I found when no one else would which started me to volunteer. I love volunteering and fostering with them. The cats go to great homes and it warms my heart to see the babies go to loving homes. They try to help cats throughout Mobile and Baldwin Counties as much as they can. This organization is all about the cats. And, Susan, who is over the organization, is constantly working, some times with little sleep, to make sure the cats are cared and loved for.

ACC does so much for the kitties of the community. I adopted a cat from ACC, and was impressed with their organization. I know they put in nonstop work to trap & neuter, and get kitties the healthcare they need, and get them adopted to safe and loving homes.

These wonderful folks rescued my sweet Ginger and helped me bring her into my home. My boy kitties and I were missing having a girl kitty in the house and Ginger had been the perfect addition to our home. Azalea City Cat Coalition does a wonderful job of saving cats in our city!

Azalea City Cat Coalition is a volunteer group that rescues kittens and cats, provides much needed vet care and finds loving homes for as many as possible through a partnership with Petsmart in Spanish Fort and Mobile. ACCC volunteers are active in the community doing TNR (traps-neuter-return) for feral cats, and support feral colonies while keeping the population healthy and shrinking. They rescue as many as they can from being killed in local animal shelters. This is truly a labor of love and not for sissies!

This is a very small all volunteer group that relies totally on donations to do TNR work. They work tirelessly to help neighborhoods and their feral cat population.

The Azalea City Cat Coalition is helping me in dealing with somewhat of a hording issue. My brother, who is a methamphetamine addict has approximately 29 cats and refuses to spay or neuter them, as that is not an addict's priority. I contacted the ACCC and they offered to help me trap them to have them spayed and neutered. I truly did not know where to turn or what to do, as I work upwards of 60 hours per week. I cannot thank them enough and in the event I am killed in the line of duty, I have set up a life insurance policy to aid them in their humane endeavors in caring for God's creatures.

The Azalea City Cat Coalition definitely came to my rescue this past week! I've had several stray, wild, and feral cats pass through my yard since living here. In January, a young black cat decided to take up residence in our yard and on our deck. It was cold so we made a cat house and decided she could stay around. In March, we realized she was pregnant and 2 babies were born in April. Both of those babies were also girls.
In late June, we decided it was time to go ahead and get all 3 of them spayed. They seemed to like it here and we had grown so attached to all of them even though they were still slightly wild in nature. I contacted the Cat Coalition for help and Susan walked me through the whole process. She set me up with the appt. to get them spayed with a vet she trusted and would worked well with the coalition. Bobby brought the traps, showed us how to properly work them, and was even there when the mother was caught. They gave us very specific directions for everything and I am so grateful!! It was so hard to see them in cages, but the help we got from Susan and Bobby made the whole process SOOO much easier! I do not know what we would have done without them.
I now have 3 precious and spayed cats in my backyard where they can live forever without the risk of becoming pregnant again. I am so grateful and I would recommend Azalea City Cat Coalition to anyone who needed help. The work they do is incredibly important and valuable to our city!

I came to know Susan through Betsy Haas and our rescue group, Aide for Animals. I had just moved into a new home and suddenly, every day, I started seeing anywhere from two to ten little cat faces peeking out from under my house! Of course, I put food out, but these sweet babies were feral, so I rarely, if ever, saw them out and about, eating or playing.

As the numbers increased, I became concerned that I'd soon have every cat in the neighborhood calling the crawl spaces under my house their home. I wanted to start TNR, so I talked with Betsy, and she suggested I call Susan. I did, and Susan walked me through setting up friendly traps and she met me to pick up any I would trap and take them to Azalea City Cat Coalition's vet to have them neutered and vaccinated.

Over the course of three years, Susan helped me get upwards of 30 cats vetted, and I returned them, happy, healthy, and most importantly, NEUTERED to their little corner of the world under my house. When I moved away, I was able to find someone to maintain the colony, and there are still a large number of them ambling about the area, big, beautiful cats that would have otherwise died had Susan not been there to help me.

Of all the cats that we helped, I'm proud to say that I only had one foster failure. Sheela is still with me today, still a little skittish, but definitely the queen of the roost!

We are all volunteers who work to advocate for community cats that are injured or in need of spay or neutering. Also provide out reach and education to the community on the values of spaying and neutering all pets!

No Government funding here, this group relies on grants and donations so they can continue to work with a few veterinarians to reduce the population of unwanted kittens and rehome tame cats once vet checked. Very committed group with good knowledge and skills!!

I am honored to work with these folks. I am retired and help out as much as I can. These members work 7 days a week to help the welfare of cats and kittens. It is hard going but they never complain. Cant think of a more dedicated group of folk.
This all volunteer organization has made a profound impact on felines in this community!!!
