Presented awards to businesses who displayed exemplary practices promoting product stewardship. Supported recycling services by producers such as call2recycle and mattress recycling corporation. Implented projects that are epr transitional where other stakeholders in the product chain pay for a portion of the project such as medicine collection bins and final household battery collection boxes which have collected 44,028 lbs (more than 22 tons) of batteries and 332 cell phones. Expanded the refuel your fun campaign to educate the public statewide about the new refillable one pound gas cylinders to reduce use of disposables and partnered with flame king, kampus propane and u-haul to promote the redeisgned to be refillable 1 lb propane gas cylinders.
