Troopathon

I heard about this organization through my friend Mason who spoke very highly of them. His work with Troopathon is impacting our servicemember community in big ways and I am happy that he is finding a path to give back in big ways.

Volunteered here the other day and was impressed with how everything was set up. It was rewarding to volunteer here. Back in the mid 2000s a cousin who I am very close to was deployed overseas and always appreciated packages. Volunteering here made me feel like I was doing a great service. I appreciate and support our nation's heroes

I am always surprised and delighted when I receive a letter or note from one of our troops or a unit commander thanking me for supporting Troopathon and how much they enjoyed receiving their package. It's the least I can do to let our troops know they are loved and supported!

I had the privilege of working yesterday with a variety of groups to assemble holiday care packages. I was so impressed by Troopathon's organization and leadership - talk about 'herding cats'! In no time, an unruly group of volunteers was whipped into shape, completing thousands of packages in a matter of several hours. It was my honor to participate in such a meaningful, consequential endeavor. Made MY day!!! Thank you Troopathon for all that you do!

Such a great origination sending a little bit of home to our troops one box at a time. We just got done volunteering with 20 other NCL moms and daughters. Well run operation and a great place to spend a a few hours helping to give back to our troops. Thanks for all you do for them!

We had a group of 9 that was able to volunteer for a packing party. We had such a great time as a group! It was incredible to hear about all the stories and just watch the boxes fill up and know that we contributed to our deployed troops, hoping to make their day a little better. We will continue to be a volunteer group with this organization.

Wow, what a great experience! I was so impressed with how nicely organized everything was and the positive excitement of the employee, Scott who set us up while volunteering. It's so nice knowing that our troops are receiving such nice care packages that help show how much they are appreciated.

They are well organized and clear about instructions for volunteers. They are motivating, kind and enthusiastic. They deeply care about their mission and wish to grow to have an even larger impact.

This was a great experience and was even a great team building exercise as we all worked together to get as many care packages done as possible. Was actually a lot of fun for our group to do this and will do it again in the future!

Scott with Troopathon was amazing. He was able to coordinate a time and activity that worked for our company. It was very organized and we assembled 240 packages in one hour! We will definitively be volunteering again.

I volunteered with several of my coworkers on June 25th. What a fantastic opportunity to help support our troops. The purpose of this Non profit group is to send a little taste of home to the men and women deployed around the world. It was so heartwarming to stuff these boxes with fun, tasty and sweet treats. Hi, My name is Leteisha. I'm a mom of a Marine and wife of a Veteran. I love being able to give something back to those that give so much. I am proud of all of my family members that serve and all those that give of themselves everyday for our country. I volunteer with another organization on a smaller scale and I love doing it, but this experience was AWESOME! Seeing so many people all united for one cause was amazing and being able to share in it with them was wonderful. It means so much to me to know that our deployed military knows how much they are loved and appreciated. I hope each and every service member feels the love that goes into packing each package sent. Troopathon is doing exceptional work in the Veteran community. I was there side-by-side with other devoted community members willingly giving our time and energy, sending our love one package at a time, to the most deserving of our citizens; our honorable troops who sacrifice so much for our well-being. I saw children and the elderly working to deliver these much needed care packages. I can only imagine the joy these small tones of appreciation may bring to out a smile one a worthy face. My son is joining the Air Force this summer after attending Jesuit High School. He will likely receive one of these lovely gifts and he will be blessed by it, as you will be blessed from it. Keep doing what you are doing Troopathon, you are truly making a difference and I was happy to be a small part of it!

Volunteering for Move America Foward has been such a great experience and has made me much more grateful for our active duty troops. I had the pleasure of helping on Memorial Day and Veterans Day and we made lots of care packages on those days. The donations from so many people and companies and many other donors behind the scenes is such a blessing. To see all the boxes that go out to the troops and that I was part of it is fulfilling. Its true that it doesn’t seem like work when you love what you are doing. Scott Raab and his crew have everything in order and all goes smoothly. I am a USAF veteran who served in the Vietnam War. It was always a huge morale boost to receive packages from home from organizations like Move America Forward, especially around the holidays. What a comfort knowing that people back home appreciate you and have your back. I was a Navigator, and during my eight-plus years in the Air Force, I was fortunate enough to see and visit many different countries and locations and meet many diverse people. Suffice it to say there is no place like home, and Move America Forward understands that in spades and treats and supports the military in an exceptional way. Mega kudos to them - Thank You Move America Forward, and please continue your phenomenal work supporting our troops.

This program touched my heart on a personal level,I have a brother in the military and there’s nothing like receiving a care package when you are stationed overseas away from your family and friends. This program is a great way to help them feel more at home away from home and I enjoyed being apart of something so meaningful.

Loved being a helping hand here , I was able to help make our deployed troops feel a little closer to home making care packages. It was a pleasant environment to be in alongside other volunteers just doing my part to help any way I can and I will be returning.

If you're trying to find a great way to help our men and women in uniform this is a great place. They make very nice packages that are shipped all over full of reading material,to goodies ,to socks and other things that are useful. I've volunteered hear and my experience with this organization has been great. I like the atmosphere and the people. As far as the actual work it's quite simple and being a veteran myself I love supporting our American troops while they are away. Scott and the entire team are doing absolutely amazing work! I've had the opportunity to volunteer with this organization for an extensive period of time and am always impressed by their professionalism and commitment to our troops.

Each time I come in I can see visible progress with more and more care packages created and shipped and stocking of materials for the next batch. I would highly recommend folks to put time into this non profit and please nominate a troop if you know of someone who would appreciate some love!!

I feel humbled & yet blessed to give back to our men & women in uniform. When I donate these care packages I picture the expressions of joy, laughter , nostalgia on the recipients faces. This is the least we can do to thank them for their service. The staff is always cooperative,, prompt & answer any inquisitors I might have. Don’t we all want to bring a smile to someone’s face who is serving our country when they taste a Girl Scout cookie, their favorite candy or just open a care package?? This is our time !! MOVE AMERICA FORWARD IS A MOST REMARKABLE, OUTSTANDING, RELIABLE NON-PROFIT TO WORK WITH. ALWAYS follows through as promised and fulfills its commitment. I have been donating regularly and have recognized that they will pack up and ship care packaages to troops upon individual requests from its website or upon receiving requests for units submitted by the unit's Chaplains for sharing among the troops without any compensation or donation directly made to Move America Forward. I personally know of over 75 care packages which were packed and shipped to an active duty Navy Seal on board his vessel for him to distribute and share among his unit. This organization is Amazing and such an Inspiration to the Military and Families of Servicemen and Service Women all over the world. I requested Move America Forward care packages for deployed Service Members at a base where I work. There is more than one deployment base in this country and I got a call from Scott Raab asking if the packages he was scheduled to send were for the base I requested or for another base. It turns out that they were for another base. Scott was so great about making sure that both bases got care packages. While talking with him, I realized that the people at this organization go way above and beyond to be sure that our Service Members feel that people are looking out for them. What a great guy and what a fabulous organization. Thank you so much for all that you do!!

I reached out to MAF upon arriving to a deployed location where I would be working with numerous other personnel from my career field. Their response was to send an enormous amount of Care Packages, full of Girl Scout cookies, various snacks, personal hygiene supplies, and much more. The efforts, sacrifices, and resources which were voluntarily donated by anyone and everyone supporting MAF is very much appreciated. To those at MAF, thank you for what you do. Thank you so much for creating such a wonder program to help the soldiers. My cousin who I call my daughter is is in Saudi Arabia called her cousin who was a special figure in her life. She asked if she and the family will send her package while she was overseas. They said know it will be to expensive. She gave me her address as well I sent packages. Than I remembered my son served in Iqua.
So I went looking for help for services for soldiers serving abroad. I found Move America. She received the packages. Thank you so much this mean a lot. It special more ways than ones I am an amputee and can’t get out much when she called me crying stating how her family treated her my heart was heavy. She lots her mom in a tragic accident. With a Move America forward many soldier like my special young lady can have mail and package sent so they don’t feel alone.

The company that I work for put together a team of volunteers to go and prepare some care packages for our troops. It was a no brainer for me! My son in law is serving in the Air Force and my daughter is also serving(not the one married) in the Air Force. I know how much it meant to them whenever they would receive these packages. It is hard for them when they are deployed because for us, life goes on....I know it seems silly but that is one thing my son in law said. They are there, in the desert or wherever, and their life is completely different. They miss alot back home. They miss alot with their families. It is an ultimate sacrifice and the work that is done by Move America Forward helps it not seem so painful. Thank you for what you do!

I am grateful for all the work Move America Forward does to keep up the spirits of our military. It gives me the opportunity in a small way to thank our troops especially those in harm's way who protect us.

This is a truly great organization. I have been donating to MAF a couple of times a year for a couple of years now. It provides such great support to our troops stationed overseas. The troops always send thank you notes and MAF forwards them on to me. The troops are so very thankful for the packages and for the contact and support from home. I do this because I believe they are the top public organization that provides support to our troops stationed overseas and none of the money MAF gets is wasted. MAF makes it so easy for us at home to provide support to the troops who are putting their lives on the line for us everyday. MAF even provides care packages for the K9 troops as well. A truly dedicated group of volunteers run this organization and I can't thank them enough.

This is a great service. Wish I could be more involved but live 2 hours away.

Move America forward is one of the best organizations supporting our troops on the front lines with care packages and just the show of love to the troops. I served 17 years in the military 5 years overseas and when I received packages from home from friends from family from strangers it was always brought a smile to my face and that's what these guys are continuing. You couldn't ask for a better group of people to do such just for the fact that there are retired military members in this community of move America forward. so if you have any questions or you have any thoughts this would be the program or the company to use in order to get packages out to our sailors soldiers airmen and Marines that are overseas fighting the good fight protecting our country and our way. MAF is a one of a kind organization. Providing morale building and uplifting packages of hard to get sundries and other supplies to our troops is a very noble cause. Not only are our Human warriors remembered but also our Canine warriors as well with pet treats, toys, blankets and other essentials. We have received heart felt "Thank You" notes both electronically and hand written from recipients who truly appreciated the gesture and could use the carefully hand picked items included in their packages. Based upon all of the non-profit auditing organizations, MAF routinely places at the top for their application of funding as well as low administration costs. We continue to support MAF and make sure our Friends are aware of their great services. Keep up the fantastic service you provide.

I volunteer for this organization whenever possible with other members of my church and we always have a great time and meet wonderful people. The staff are great and always accomodating to our schedule. The group has many great items they send to the troops which I see going into the boxes when I pack them up myself. Every time I go there to pack boxes, I marvel at something new they are sending to the troops that I've never seen before, it's always interesting to put myself in the mindset of someone serving overseas, and then I pick up a bottle of this and think how I could use it if I was thousands of miles away from home, how useful it would be to receive this and how much it would help me while I'm far away from my family and friends. I love hanging out at this location and would recommend this charity to anyone looking for a wholesome, meaningful, and spiritually fulfilling way to donate their time or money to a good cause.

I volunteered to pack boxes for our troops during the Christmas season 2019. Move America Forward is in a class of its own. The many volunteers, from all walks of life, made the event extraordinary. Members of our Military, seniors, students, retirees, FedEx managers all worked together To show our troops how much they are appreciated. Following that event, I was “commissioned “ to write “thank you” notes that would be included in boxes. That simple gesture made ME feel a part of how this country, our Military, sacrifices to keep our American dream alive.

What a wonderful nonprofit. Shipping out goodies, handwritten thank you letters to our hard working men and women. Shows we are thinking about them and thanking them for there dedication to fighting for this country.

As a member of a military family, I know how important the morale of our troops is and getting a care package is a big deal! As a family we sent a Move America Forward Care package to a soldier and were so excited when we received a thank you note from the soldier we had sponsored letting us know that they had received and loved the package we sent. That just made my day!

When I think of what would make me want to wake up with a sour back, and hands covered in paper cuts it’s a gratifying day prior volunteering at Move America Forward. Sure packing boxes on an assembly line and loading them on to pallets could be done by machines, but the shared stories, joy, goofing off, and day of knowing that we all did something to put a smile on some Service member’s face made it all worth it.

I’ll be back packing, taping, and loading care packages again for sure.

With the 4th of July just past us, my wife Peg and I want to thank our brave men, women, and K9's for keeping us safe. We want them to know how much we appreciate them, and their courage and loyalty to our country. We cannot comprehend what life is like for them now. Though this may seem so common and simple, but I do appreciate our troops. I was a laugh enforcement officer, so I know what it is like having to be on alert while on duty. Yet, our military troops are on alert 24/7. If it weren't for the troops, our freedoms would not be what they are; period...! I hope that the packages these soldiers receive put a smile on their faces.
Though I do not know one soldier out there working for us, I do appreciate what they are doing and they are all in my prayers. Believing in God should be a big help to them. Someone to talk to at least. God bless them all.

It was greatly appreciated and 100% unexpected to receive a care package while serving overseas. Given the difficulty of access to the items given to us in the care package, it was with gratitude we accepted the gift, as well as a great boost to the morale in our sub-standard living conditions. I found Move America Forward several years ago online, and was delighted with their program to supply care boxes to our troops all year long, but especially on holidays when the troops really miss being home. Writing a note to go with the packages is a wonderful way to let our troops know how much we appreciate all that they sacrifice for our country. I have selected Amazon Smile for MAF so that whenever I shop on Amazon, they contribute to MAF. This is a wonderful charity that I contribute to happily.

While I believe you are a good organization let me be candid. When your receipt page takes three pages and use up color ink it is a total waste. We are able to give to organizations like yours because we are frugal. Reduce your receipt to one or two pages with no pics. If we wanted pics we would go to your website; they are not helpful on a receipt.

I found Move America Forward online some years ago. I was impressed with what they were doing and their dedication and commitment to sending our troops overseas a little bit of home. They do a fabulous and non-stop job for people who need some thoughts from home.

The service is easy to use and there are enough choices to fit every budget. Give our men and women in uniform some love for the thankless job they do EVERYDAY to keep us safe at home.

I have been donating to MAF on a monthly basis for several years. I do this because I believe they are the top public organization that provides support to our troops stationed overseas. I have received numerous notes from recipients thanking me for providing the monthly packages and I can't tell you how much I appreciate them for saying this. These folks are putting their lives on the line for us and I feel the very least we can do is to provide a bit of home when they are so far away.

I am extremely disappointed that your organization promised to send me a gift certificate to the restaurant I chose when I called to donate and here we are at the end of January 2019 and nothing has been sent. I also called your customer service number back in December to follow-up on this, and nothing was done. While it was my pleasure to have donated, it makes me a little hesitant to donate to you in the future. My opinion is that if you did not keep your word in sending me what you promised and offered in return for my donation, how do I know you used my money to send care packages?

I served for 29 years - British Army. During that time I never received a parcel when serving overseas. Cannot imagine what it feels like to be remembered by those "back home"!

My husband was a young Marine, who often received packages from home. He told me that he looked forward to getting mail and cookies and other goodies which he shared with his buddies. It made a difference to him to know that he wasn't forgotten, and that those back home thought about him. My gift is in his honor. Being a Vietnam War Vet I know what it's like to be away from home during the holiday season. Having the opportunity to send our brave men & women a little "taste home" is just one way I can give back to them the thanks for making our country safer.

I have been donating towards care packages for several years now. It's important that we as US citizens show our support and appreciation for our troops. Every and now then I am blessed enough to receive a thank you note from a recipient of a care package made with my donation. Care packages are supposed to boost their morale but receiving a note certainly gives me a thrill and a sense of pride knowing I helped a service member. Thanks MAF for ensuring our troops get the support and care they deserve!

All of my brothers served in the Armed Services including 2 during times of war. My Mother would ship homegrown tomatoes to my brother serving as a Cobra pilot in “Nam.” Today, fewer American families have direct connection to service members so fewer “feel” the sacrifices they endure. Yesterday, I received a call from Move America Forward. I fully expected a solicitation but it was a personal “thank you” for my previous contribution and the feedback they get from the troops about the “gifts” from home. That is top notch in my book.

I like that the K9 soldiers are being taken care of also!

I received three care packages from this company, and they were wonderful to receive during my deployment. They had candy, coffee, calling cards, and hygiene products in it, as well as very nice thank you notes from the sponsors of these packages. I would recommend this very giving company to any of my deployed folks who are in need of moral.

I am married to a 20 year veteran of the Army. He told me how he loved getting something from home. I also have a niece that serves and she says the same thing. I am disabled and don't have a lot, but I really wanted to do something. I want to thank Move America Forward for the great thing that they are doing for our troops!

My dad was an Air Force staff sergeant! When he did talk about his experience it was usually about his comrades. He watched a lot of history channel movies and had many books. I loved him so much and was extremely proud of his service. Even though I was not even born yet when he served it was important to understand what it meant. I think all who serve deserve the utmost respect for their sacrifices for us. It is my pleasure to make this donation. Let freedom ring and God Bless!

You have kept our country safe a free . How people can disrespect all branches of the military by taking a knee at the National anthem is something I will never understand. I think that each one who does this should be FORCED into military service and find out just what you folks go through

I have been sending care packages to our troops through "move america forward" for about two years now. It s such a good feeling to know that some comfort is being provided through this wonderful nonprofit. The care packages include a range of items from special boot socks to coffee, snacks, personal hygiene products and much more. I have also received severai thank you letters from the troops and that will definitely bring a tear to the eye. I can't think of a better nonprofit to support.

I have worked with Move America Forward helping with packing care packages. Which, I've gotta be honest their system - very efficient. If you have special request to send service member who you know Move America Forward will send individual care packages too. All you need is a name and address, bomb care package delivered! I enjoyed learning and working with the outreach director whose passion to support others is second to none.

Move America Forward provides care packages that are both practical in providing often-requested and high quality products and also thoughtful in containing personalized messages from donors and reflecting timely themes.

I'm picky about my charities and they do what they say and help our Troops!! Know my $$ go where they are needed.

This is a great charity/organization. I have been donating care packages to the troops overseas through Move America Forward for a while now. It's been gratifying to know I can help in a small way, to boost moral for our service men and women, with the care packages put together by the volunteers at MFA. They do a great job. Surprisingly, though I never expected them, I've received cards and letters from some of the service members thanking me personally for the packages and how much they mean to them and especially to service members who don't have anyone to send them packages or letters from home. It heartens them to know people they don't know, care about them. Move America Forward makes that all possible.

Move America Forward is focused on bringing a little joy into the daily lives of those serving in the military. They have an excellent track record of finding and fulfilling needs that would otherwise go ignored. It is a great organization.

It was very nice receiving care packages from the move america foward foundation. It meant so much to us while being stationed while out in the middle east. The packages had so much to offer, like sweets, coffee in the bunches that taste so good. Also the literature and other added in items such as toiletries help out alot too. We also love reading the letters and cards that come with each one, lets us know there is many folks out there that truly care about us. I greatly recommend this foundation, and would like to thank those who supported this operation.

These guys work tirelessly to make a difference for our young men and women who are giving up so much to serve us, risking life and limb for our freedom. I have the utmost respect for the brave ones who sacrifice so much on our behalf and for the people at Move America Forward who strive to bring some sort of comfort and joy into their lives.

Let's admit it -- not many of us are qualified to be "warriors." I appreciate those men & women who are willing to serve in the US military. My hope & prayer is that they have all the support they need to get-the-job-done & that they will come home unscathed in body & mind, so they can enjoy the American way of life they have defended. When I send a "care package" to a warrior, it is a small thing to do to express my appreciation -- especially since Move America Forward does the actual work. All I have to do is stretch my budget a bit to make a contribution toward goods and/or postage. Thanks, Move America Forward -- you are good people!

The question should be: Why wouldn't any patriotic American support the troops and their canine co-warriors? You folks provide that extra comfort that our underpaid troops should be receiving from the government=American taxpayers instead of funding illegal immigrants and terrorist refugees. My father served aboard a carrier in the Pacific Theater during WW II. I fully support our military including the canines who sacrifice so much to keep our Republic safe. G-d bless them and their families and your non-profit for your service and sacrifice.

I hope this charity is not a scam. I always worry about that.
If it is straight it looks like a great idea. I have given to it a couple times before.

This is in response to the donor writer who gave this organization a bad review on 2/5/17.
Have you thought maybe there are circumstances for you not getting a reply. Maybe they do not have Internet access, maybe the letters got separated, or maybe they just didn't thank you.

Maybe instead of complaining, you should teach your grand children that sometimes you do charity work without getting a thank you. Isn't that what it is all about? Selfless service? If you are only doing this for a thank you and you give a great organization a poor review just because you want a pat on the pack, you might need to rethink what true service is and should be grateful to our troops who put their lives on the line everyday for everyone.

Thank you very much for the care package! It means a lot that people care for what we do. It's not easy being away from home, but you outta smile on my face when I opened the box! The coffee will definitely come in handy for the long days/nights. I appreciate your support, and I'm glad to defend this great Nation. HOOAH

I very much support the military which is why I was disappointed that 21 care packages sent with messages and email addresses by my 3 grandchildren did not result in any replies. It was my hope that a thank-you from an unknown soldier or marine in a far away part of the world would illustrate to my grandchildren how appreciated their gifts were.
Unfortunately, this makes me wonder where the care packages went.

This organization is very supportive to our troops overseas; they sponsor care packages from donors to troops stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq year-round. I have received several thank you notes from our soldiers for the packages I have sent, and it means the world to me. This is a very worthy organization whose concern, first and foremost, is our military. They also sponsor trips for Gold Star Parents to Iraq. I am happy to contribute and be a part of making the lives of our brave men and women a little easier.

Great organization!, very supportive to the troops on the frontlines in supplying great care packages, so much good stuff in them, that would put a big smile to them after a long day or night fighting for our country. Being at a bare base with very few options at the on base exchange results in a lack of the essential items needed for daily life/hygiene. Move America Forward does great work. I drop off letters to have included in the care packages monthly. It is always interesting to see all of the needed things they are including in the boxes. The piles of boxes ready to be shipped or waiting to be packed is always impressive. I am glad to donate toward the shipping of the boxes and am always happy to see the photos of the troops who receive the care packages.

My men spent the holidays in Afghanistan this year. Spirits were a little low considering we were far from family and home. The package we received from Move America Forward was a much needed boost that helped us soldier on this winter. Thanks so much Move America Forward!

We are so grateful to MOA to be able to show our soldiers including K9's they are NOT forgotten, that we truly love and care about them through one of these great gifts MOA pulls together with gifts, supplies and goodies at a price we can all afford. MOA works tirelessly all year long to make sure our beloved troops are NOT forgotten. I can't afford much but w/o our soldiers we wouldn't be here enjoying our lives freely however we choose to live our lives or celebrate. This is truly a blessing for each of us.

I am a Vietnam veteran, having served two combat tours with the Marines. Guideposts was a magazine I read whenever I could. Guideposts, praying day & night, & especially GOD were the reasons I made it back .On the few times we were back in a safe area we would receive care packages & items from various organizations that really raised our morale. It's wonderful to know that people care.Being in combat is , without a doubt, the most grueling experience a young solder can endure - & to know that your country is behind you is so important for morale. Move America Forward does amazing work! Continuously strives to show appreciation to our military and send them little reminders of home. After volunteering at one event for a required school project, I will definitely be volunteering again! Very organized, thoughtful and inspiring individuals that make this nonprofit successful. The event I attended also included individuals from the Wounded Warrior Project. All around great experience and I would recommend to anyone wanting to give some time to a worthy cause.

MAF sent me a care package on deployment from a family member who gave them my name and address. Not only did they send it to me but they asked if they could send more and we have a lot of other Sailors on board that are expecting care packages now. Troop 9 is our family's "Troop". They make sure we are always in touch with them, which is important to us. We received a page with everyone's signature and a short message....we're framing it to help us to remember to pray for them. I so totally believe in this organization, I give monthly (along with extra donations). They work tirelessly to see our troops get a taste of home. They let the troops know they are not forgotten. They even take care of the K-9 Corp.
