Mission: The mission of bright side opportunities corporation is to develop youth mentally, spiritually, and physically, through culturally diverse programs; promote and engage in economic development by initiating and mentoring small business; and fostering wellness and self-sufficiency for the greater community. Bright side provides a variety of programs for youth and families in the areas of education, wellness, financial management and recreation.
Programs: The bright side opportunities center provides services to the community through direct service and utilization of space for the community. Through direct service we operated: youth program for over 1100 youth; fitness center meeting the health and fitness needs of over 190 members (including youth); youth basketball league which served over 50 high school youth; weekly food share program which served over 1000 members of our community, and the annual health fair which served over 300 participants. Through our availability of space, along with our partners we served: over 220 citizens with financial services, 300 esl learners through the adult education program; 50 senior citizens through the v-connection program; and over 3,400 men, women and children received health care and social work services through the federally qualified health center in our facility.
