I love having a place where I can take small plastic items (ETC) and they are used creatively instead of littering another landfill on our beautiful planet! Also while I’m there to drop off my things, it sure is a FUN place to shop for a w-I-d-e array of crafty things to create with myself! LOVE this place!!

WOW - this shop is amazing. I couldn't believe all the items they have in their store. As a scrapbooker/card maker I love the paper room but have to limit my time spent in there! They also have lots of ideas for reuse of various items. I am a recycler so I love to donate items here that I know will get reused in a positive way.

I recently discovered this amazing place! I went in and wasn't sure what to expect and was so surprised at all the items they had for sale. It was so nice to be able to buy only a few of a craft item you need. I found 4 sheets of scrapbook paper that was perfect for cards I planned to make. An added plus is that all these items don't end up in landfills!

Great place to shop for craft, school or teaching supplies! As an added bonus is the realization that everything you purchase would have otherwise been been destined to continue on into a landfill. Reuse, recycle and repurpose creatively at LCR!

I always enjoy my time browsing and shopping at Lancaster Creative Reuse. I took my
children there when they were on Queen street and they loved it.
I think the people they employ are always friendly and helpful. I always find
something that I need or that little something maybe a piece of
cloth that gives me inspiration to create something out of it. I also enjoy dropping off
materials that I don't need, in the hopes that someone will find them useful or
inspiring. For all these reasons, Lancaster Reuse is an amazing place that lives up to it's name.

I am an artist that’s on a very limited budget.
I started going to LCR during the Pandemic as I just couldn’t afford even basic supplies at retail prices.
The staff is not only friendly and supportive but they really care for their community and customers.
I have been able to purchase much needed supplies and even meet up with other artists at LCR.
I plan on eventually donating money and or my unused art supplies to LCR.
I am really grateful that I found LCR and that they are able to survive in these tough times that we live in.

Hello I happen upon this store company chance. Pre covid we were in the area from Dupont.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely woman, she was so very helpful and informative. This is definitely my kind of place! Reuse, repurpose for the creative mind. We loved our visit there and did purchase a lot of goodies.
I love the concept of the store and would love to get involved in something similar in my our area!

Lancaster Creative Reuse is where I go first for my craft needs. They fill a unique need for the Lancaster community unlike any other nonprofit in the area. I love the feeling of finding what I need to fuel my creativity while saving TONS of money and reusing perfectly good, pre-owned craft supplies. I have made many projects using supplies from Lancaster Creative Reuse such as a crochet blanket (using ONLY yarn found at LCR), Christmas gifts, necklaces, ornaments, and I even found supplies to help create my own wedding decorations. I love this place!!!

Love the work LCR does! They take craft supplies and weird things that other people might throw away and sell it cheaply. What a valuable community resource, so helpful to the environment and to people who just want a little of something or a lot of something for pennies. When my kids want to experiment with a craft, I go to LCR to pick up supplies. I can always donate them back if my kids lose interest. The items are displayed nicely and the LCR staff is always cheerful and helpful. Love this store!!

I had been volunteering for almost two years when COVID restrictions went into effect.

I was trying to figure out my new normal along with everyone else and of course had to pause my volunteering.

Staff reached out regularly just to say "Hey...hope you are well. We are thinking of you." It was great to know that they were still out there and it gave me hope that things might return to the way they were.

I am returning to volunteering later this week. This is due in great part to the connection the staff continued during COVID.

I am so happy to be getting back to it!

LCR is a wonderful part of our community. My daughter and I visit LCR multiple times each year and are greeted with warm welcomes. I love that it’s a very kid-friendly place that provides so many opportunities to foster creativity, including their crafting table. Their prices are amazing. They are very generous with donating to other local non-profits and schools in our area. Additionally, they have helped foster a love for creativity, learning, and most of all, repurposing/recycling in my daughter that I am so grateful for. I highly recommend LCR for shopping, classes, donating arts and crafts, etc.

I appreciate LCR’s efforts to reopen slowly during the pandemic. We recently had our first scheduled shopping appointment, and I was amazed by the organization of materials in their space. Everything is sorted, labeled clearly, and in good condition. Best of all, I walked out with three bags of creative materials for only $25! My kids can’t wait to visit again!

I love that Lancaster Creative Reuse exists! They are providing a great service by providing supplies and resources that encourage creativity in our communities. I have donated and also purchased supplies from them. There is a huge variety if items to choose from, so I can always find something for any project I happen to be working on. I also love that they recognize and share creations made by the children that visit. I hope they continue to grow and to inspire kids and adults alike to keep creating!

First of all, my sewing group at church has always been able to find everything they need for sewing and craft projects. They seem to have everything one could think of and some days, things that you do not think of but find you need. And we have also been able to give back. I am in the process of moving and had lots and lots of things I did not want to pay to move to my new home. The folks there took in everything I brought to them and were genuinely excited about all of the wonderful things I was taking to them. Either way, Lancaster Creative Reuse provides many crafting and sewing items very cheaply while keeping the things they sell from ending up in the dump. It is a WIN/WIN!!!

And the fact that it is all reuse is wonderful, the old, becoming to life again, still having a purpose. Thank you to all that work here, you are an inspiration tp many!

I am a mixed media artist, who loves to use recycled materials. Since I’m single, it would take me forever to collect enough bottle caps, pill bottles, etc. to finish a whole piece (and by the time I did, I’d forget why I was collecting them). LCR has been a godsend when I’ve downsized, changed craft focus, or bought too many supplies. It’s also wonderful if you want to try something out before committing to it.

Went in the store just to donate some unused craft items, having heard about them from a family member and via Facebook. Staff was so nice, and so grateful for what I brought. Such a different response than taking things to Goodwill! I know that LCR will put these items to good use, either in a class situation or by providing them at a more-than-reasonable cost for purchase. Walked out of there with supplies for my new projects at far less than I would have spent at the craft store. Although it's about an hour away from my home, I'll be returning there frequently to donate and to restock!

There are so many useful things there, I could get into trouble if I lived closer. Whether you sew or craft, this place has so many things it's hard not to leave all your money there. I love their fabric selections, everything from pieces, yardage, upholstery samples which are great for tote bags, to threads and other sewing notions. When we get through sorting my mom's sewing notions and craft items, I'll be dropping off a box of things for someone else to start their own crafting/sewing habit!

Lancaster Creative Reuse is a fabulous spot for a creative person to browse and for an educator to find supplies.

It’s also a great place to take donations of any art/craft/office supplies no longer wanted or needed in your space.
If you have items “someone could make something out of” and you realize that someone will not be you, LCR is the place to donate them.

The staff is always friendly and the displays and inventory are changed often. There are sections for various arts and crafts, with a whole room of paper, stamping & office related supplies & a whole room of fabric, notions & sewing-related items.

I was an LCR customer first & spent so much time there that I was able to help other customers find stuff. That’s when I realized volunteering would be a great idea! Volunteer hours are flexible and the tasks vary as much as their inventory. Here is my blog post about it! http://artistsofallstripes.blogspot.com/2013/05/its-official-im-volunteering-at.html?m=1

This organization with its store has a significantly large inventory of hobby and craft supplies of every description. They are available to the retail market for a dime on the dollar so to speak.

Still more impressive, they are available for FREE to all NGO’s who want to provide activities to the young and old alike. The range is so wide: schools, adult and children’s clubs, rec centers, nursing homes, orphanages, etc.

LCR is a useful and needed resource for the entire community.

I absolutely LOVE the creative reuse. I am particularly enthusiastic about embroidery and sewing, which can traditionally be a bit expensive when having to buy from a big craft store. The reuse ALWAYS has amazing fabrics and so many wonderful embroidery supplies, including interesting hoops and any color floss you could want. The staff is so friendly and it allows me to be creative and helps me fill my days with things that bring me joy. I wouldn’t be able to do half of what I do without the reuse, so I am very thankful for the work they do.
