I have been referring individuals and/or working with Arch Street Center for 26 years. To walk in their front door is to be part of something special. The warmth of the center, the welcoming staff, the compassionate volunteers, the healthy meals, fun activities...on any given day you can see the Executive Director cooking on the grill, mentoring a member, tilling a garden. The Director of Development and her volunteer mother are co-matriarchs of the place. They bring joy and fun and energy to the center. All staff and volunteers operate on a perpetual search for the next thing that will improve the lives of the members, with a focus on demonstrating that at Arch Street Center, they BELONG.

Arch Street Center is the best of the best. You belong there, I belong there, everyone belongs there. The staff are family. They love you, they support you, they listen to you, and they are consistently always there. I did an internship at ASC and I am forever changed for the better. The culture and dynamics that live there is what beats in my heart everyday.
Arch Street Center is an outstanding resource in Lancaster County embracing individuals living with chronic mental illness. ASC provides a family environment where everyone BELONGS. Amazing members, amazing staff, amazing volunteers.
The “director” is never there or does anything, other than treat people like trash, while padding their own pockets with your donation money from home. Classless, lazy, and bitter. High potential without them around.
It is a privilege to be a Board Member with Arch Street Center. I am a huge believer in the mission and a true fan of the way the mission is carried out by the staff and volunteers. As a Board member, I am able to witness first hand the positive and life-changing impact Arch Street Center has on the lives of individuals with serious mental illness and on our community. Arch Street Center provides vital services for adults living with serious mental illness. It is a safe space, where members can have access to recreational activities, opportunities to socialize, regular meals, and a feeling of belonging. The staff at Arch Street do their best to make members feel included, giving them opportunities to get involved with day-to-day operations in order to allow them to feel a sense of ownership of the center. As a board member, I am pleased to be able to support the mission of Arch Street Center and the necessary, often overlooked role it plays in our community.

Thank you, Kat!
Arch Street Center helps adults with mental illness feel part of a "family". Many of whom may not have their actual family in contact or close.
I have had the privilege of being a part of the annual fundraiser for the last 4 years. I also have met with many of the members on several occasions. It's a wonderful facility that fills a vital role in the landscape of Lancaster.

Thank you, Lou!
I learned about Arch Street about two years ago from some close friends. Since then, not only am I involved, I got my family involved too! This truly is a great organization that makes a huge difference in the lives of its members. Having mental illness is often stigmatized, and rarely understood. Arch Street gives members a place to go where they can interact with others, get a nutritious meal, and participate in fun activities.

Thank you, Cynthia!
I have been involved with Arch Street Center for years. They offer such wonderful support to a population that is so often stigmatized.
As a drop in center, they offer meals, socialization and a place members feel is more than a drop in center and more of a home.
It has been great to get to know the members and see how much Arch Street means to them!

Arch Street Center provides a vital service and fills a gap in mental health services in the Lancaster County mental health spectrum of services. ASC provides adults with mental illness with a safe and support place to exist and explore recreational opportunities. Through socialization, ASC members find a place to belong in the community.

I am happy to give of my time and resources to the mission of Arch Street Center. They provide a truly safe haven for adults with mental illness here in the City of Lancaster. Their center is much more than a drop-in, it is very much a home to the clients. They treat the individuals with kindness, respect, and so much affection every day. I urge everyone to consider supporting the very necessary work that Arch Street Center is doing for the mental health community in our City.
