Mission: To support and promote arts in education by motivating and inspiring children to learn through innovative arts programs in the classroom and helping teachers bridge achievement gaps in learning and stem education.
Programs: Theartsfunds mission has been refocused to support and promote arts in education by soliciting funds for arts in education programs and arts agencies in bexar county and the san antonio metropolitan area. Theartsfund continues its workplace program with several campaigns in support of its new mission. Current activities are focused on early learners with the addition of a specific program that provides services to this educational area. Children 4 and 5 years of age, their classroom teachers and families, the school system, and community are the beneficiaries of the current activities. Theartsfund accomplished the process to become san antonio wolf trap early learning through the arts, one of only 17 affiliates internationally of the wolf trap educational institute. Eight local professional performing artists were recruited and trained to be sa wolf trap teaching artists. The teaching artists were placed in 11 local independent school districts pre-k classrooms where they conducted 31 wolf trap early learning residencies each continued on schedule o
