Mission: The foundation's mission is to encourage and support students with backgrounds that have been historically under-represented in the advanced pursuit of classical vocal study. Beneficiaries are students admitted to study in the division of music at southern methodist university (smu) in dallas, texas in pursuit of undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, artist diplomas and artist certificates.
Programs: Annual tuition awards are granted for students in three categories, international student awards, foote scholar awards and summer study awards. The (14) southern methodist university awardees in 2017 received funding to pay for all or portions of tuition, housing, living expenses, insurance and clothing.
