Causes: Arts & Culture, Symphony Orchestras
Mission: Provide art and culture in the form of symphony music to the county of kern. To develop an appreciation for the benefits classical music can have on a community. To develop an appreciation and source for symphony music and to develop the arts in kern county. To provide the opportunity for artists and musicians in classical art and music in the community.
Programs: 2016-2017 season concerts:from paris to the countrysideeuropean fairy talesthe great romanticsmozart in the jungledon't cry for mewords of music2016-2017 young people's concerts:the bso hosts three exciting ypcs in october, november, and february serving over 12,000 students each year. 2016-2017 additional concerts:sounds from mexicohome for the holidaysa night at the movies2016-2017 additional programs:kids discover music- brings rich musical experiences into the classroom to compliment student's current music education. Next- introduces students to live symphonic music by providing them with a free concert experience. Over 3,000 students were provided with tickets. Health and healing- the organization partnered with dignity health to bring soothing live music into local hospitals.
