Mission: The atlanta intown theatre partnership is a support organization for a consortium of mid-sized, non-profit 501(c)(3) member theatres. The mission is to expand resources for our member professional theatres in order to create a sustainable theatre community and a more vibrant city.
Programs: The atlanta intown theatre partnership is a support organization for a consortium of mid-sized, non-profit theatres; there are currently 5 member theatres. Our programs leverage the collective strength of our member theatres, expand funding, audiences and talent, implement sharing of resources and increase the number of donors and volunteers. In 2016, aitp raised major gift funds that supported the artistic and educational programming of member theatres through distributions of funds raised to those theatres. In addition, aitp coordinated joint marketing activities supporting the mid-sized theatres artistic and educational programs, including monthly e-newsletters distributed to our joint list and a website for aitp. Artistic directors of the member theatres continued a forum to share resources and discuss solutions to organizational, artistic and community challenges. Aitp also continued planning a major joint project in audience development with a goal of expanding the next generation of atlanta theatre audiences (audiences ages 20-45, living or working intown). Consultants for the project were engaged in developing a plan to implement for this project. In 2017, aitp will continue to fundraise for fund dispersal to the member theatres and to fund the audience development plan. Once funds are raised select portions of the plan will be implemented.
